Excellent. I called Robert to come to review work in my home and give me an estimate. He came the next day and emailed me a quote the day after. Stated he had been in business for 40 years and used his own employees. I could tell he was very professional and gave him the job immediately. I asked him to come back out to my home to pick the colors for the repainting of the two bathrooms. He came the following day, I picked the colors for the repainting for him to purchase. It was a two day job. First day, the wallpaper had to be removed and mud put on the walls to sand down and set overnight to dry. Robert himself made some minor wall paper repairs in the kitchen on the first day. The two employees that removed the wallpaper and repainted the bathrooms the next day were very polite and professional and cleaned up both days before they left. One of his workers was his supervisor who had been with his company 19 years and his brother who had also been with him many years. Robert came "exactly" on time for all our appointments and his two workers also showed up "exactly" on time as promised each day. (I was lucky to find Roberts Wallpaper Removal and Painting service on Angies List). In addition on the second day they put on "two coats" of paint. One that morning and then went to lunch and that afternoon it was ready for the second coat. They finished at the end of the second day as Robert had promised. I can give Robert Bates and his company Roberts Painting the highest rating A+. They came on time, did the work exactly as quoted and did a most professional job. I am 100% satisfied with their work and will hire them in the future to do more inside painting work in my home. Both baths look like brand new with the 20 year old wallpaper down and beautiful new paint on the walls. (Great job and work all the way)!!!

Both porches had paint chipping away so we decided to get them repainted. We have little ones and I didn't want them to be playing around loose paint. I assumed that the old paint would be scraped off and then Shop Vac'ed up before the new coat went on, but instead they did a power wash on the floor and a ton of paint was washed outside into the dirt and plants. There were flecks everywhere. When I asked them to minimize the scattered paint flecks I was told that that's what happens with the power wash. After the job was finished and paid for, we noticed areas where paint peeling up, the new paint pulling the old paint up. We asked them to correct and they did come back and do some scraping and repainting. Basically, they did respond to my questions and concerns, but I would have preferred a more thorough scraping job to begin with and less mess in my yard. Before the job started, I asked if they planned to scrape and they said yes, but I never saw them scrape at all until we complained after the job was completed.

We were not impressed or happy with several issues. We had left curtains on several of the windows, the painters took the curtains down and then used them as drop cloths. They left paint all over several doorknobs, air conditioning intakes, and several large drops and smears on bannisters and railings to our stairs and great room. They did not edge between the walls and the ceilings so the lines are uneven and wiggly. They tracked paint over our front porch and poured out the water they used to clean the brushes on my plants by the front door. There was also cigarette butts left on the grounds outside the house and they left so much trash on the floor that the people who came in to do the floors called us and would not work until it had been cleaned up. After we complained to them, they did come in and clean the doorknobs, air conditioning vents, and the bannister, but the wall/ ceiling joints still need to be retouched in several places to look neat and clean (we are going to have to do this ourselves) . The walls look good, and the owner very nice and communicated well, but the workers were left unsupervised. We liked Robert a lot, but I was disappointed in the above issues.

It went really well. When I pointed out small things he’d take care of them while providing solid customer service.

He did a very good job. I was very pleased with him. He did not request for a deposit. He was very accommodating. The people he have with him are very nice as well. They cleaned up after themselves.

There was about 2 weeks from initial call to estimate, and one more month until work commence. The price was excellent. Mr. Bates aimed to provide an high quality product and service. The crew was good, and produced a result that was very good.

It went very well! Would recommend and use them again.

Robert and his team did a great job on a LARGE and detailed area. Very pleased with their work and how quickly they got it done!

My overall experience was good. The job was to be performed in three parts over two to three days: (1) scraping the ceiling; (2) re-taping and mudding the seams and mudding the nail and screw heads; and (3) painting the ceiling. It ended up taking two workers three days (they worked roughly 4-5 hours per day) accomplishing one of the three tasks each day. The workers took care in keeping everything clean by covering the walls and floor with plastic during the entire project. Repair of the seams and covering of the nails and screw heads was good. Sanding of the ceiling along the edges near the walls and near the attic access door and light fixture,etc. was not as thorough as as could have been done, leaving some areas with excess/un-sanded mud. The paint was applied by spaying with some small areas of the ceiling only having a thin coat over the sheetrock. I scored the quality of work as fair and the overall job as good based on what I paid for the work that was performed. After all, this was my garage ceiling not a bedroom or kitchen ceiling. I wasn't expecting the Sistine Chapel and I didn't get it. There wasn't the attention to detail that I would expect if this was a ceiling in a living area of my home. However, it did accomplish what I wanted: to stop the popcorn from falling and improve the unsightly look of the garage.

He responded quickly to our request of a quote. Once we selected him, he showed up as promised and got the work done very efficiently. They did exactly what we wanted.

The project was planned and services was carried out per the agreement. <br /> The only thing that I would suggest is ... there needs to be more attention to detail when caulking and spray painting.  <br /> Some small areas that needed caulking and painting were missed. <br />

They were great with their estimates about how much paint it was going to take to perform the work. They worked very well, double and triple checking their work. It looks flawless. They were very professional and timely. I appreciated the way they conducted themselves and I will definitely be looking to them in the future for more jobs. <br />

<p>Mr. Bates was immediately responsive to my phone call and provided a bid on the same day. He had a crew there working the next day. There were always enough people on site to get the job done, and they completed the work in 8 days (6 work days). The crew was efficient and polite, and left the work area clean each night. The finished work is excellent. The woodwork on my 36 year old house looks new. I was initially skeptical about the price, but after seeing the amount of time and skill spent prepping the areas to be painted, and the quality of the woodworking that had to be done, I feel that it was a good price for the finished product. I will be using Mr. Bates and his company in the future. </p> <br />
