5 guys arrived on time and did a nice job. <br />

They did a wonderful job and trimmed the trees to a perfect rounded shape.  I was very impressed with there work.  They also cleaned the job site very well when finished.

Rob and his crew started off ontime. They completed the work within six hours. Rob came out later in the day and cleaned up some more. He and his crew did an overall good job. I would defiantly use him again.

To talk to Rob, he is a really nice guy - seems pleasant and accommodating, however, he never finished the job we paid him to do and has not shown up on multiple occasions when he said he would and doesn't return calls about 95% of the time.  He was initially at our next door neighbor's taking care of their trees when I approached him to do some work for us.  He was very nice about it, gave us a verbal estimate, promised a written estimate (which we never got) and said they would start work that same day.  He worked at our house for 2 days (at the same time they were working next door) and said they would finish that second day.  It was a Friday and we were leaving for the evening so Rob asked if he could get part of the payment in cash since his guys would be staying late to finish the job.  We accommodated him and gave him almost half the fee in cash and the rest in a check since the job was to be completed before we got back home that night.  When we got back the job was not finished and the guys were gone - he claims a neighbor complained about the noise.  This was almost a month ago. Since then I have called Rob more times than I can count to find out when he is coming to finish the last 3 trees and cut up the wood they said they would.  He has made multiple commitments to come but has still not shown up to finish the job.  Two weeks ago, when I last spoke to him on the phone he said he would be here in 45 minutes - since he has  not shown up since then, that is a VERY long 45 minutes.  I have finally run out of patience and must assume he is never coming back so decided it is time to write my review.  I would under NO circumstances recommend Rob's Tree Service.  In addition to not finishing the job, his crew cut our phone/internet line while working on that Friday, so we were without service for several days.  Also, when one of his crew members came to let me know they were finished on the first night he used some pretty inappropriate language regarding the owners of the house next door which was incredibly unprofessional.  I also just heard a story yesterday about someone else who had a bad experience with him as well.  Save yourself a lot of time, money and headaches and don't use this company. Note: My check was cashed immediately or I would have stopped payment on it and after the first missed return appt. Rob said he had a baby over the weekend, so I started out being very understanding and accommodating regarding his time - but that was a month ago and is no excuse for the continued poor service and lack of even being in contact. Price may have been fair for a completed job, but was marked as poor since we paid that much for a job that is still not complete. <br />

He did a great job. He responded quickly, came out quickly, professional and pleasant to work with.

We called Rob after Super Storm Sandy left us with some large up-rooted pine trees. He came out same day that I called to give us an estimate. He was punctual and pleasant to deal with. His estimate was very reasonable for the work required. He was back within a couple of days to do the work. Very efficient, cleaned up all tree debris, even some we hadn't requested. <br /> After some recent high winds and a snow storm, we had another 50 foot-plus pine fall and this time it was blocking half of a neighboring side street. It was on a Sunday and I felt bad calling him and only requested that he come out as soon as possible during the work week. He came over within one hour. Originally the plan was only to remove the portion in the street but instead he took care of the entire tree and again for what I felt was a very reasonable fee. <br /> I would definitinely use Rob again! <br />

Quick, prompt, efficient, cheapest service as compared to competitors. No complaints. <br />

Ron called me back within a few minutes for an estimate. He was able to come out within 30 minutes, gave me a good estimate. I told him he got the job. He said his crew would be out in an hour which they did! The did excellent work! I am planning on using him again in the spring to remove a tree. <br /> I highly recommend this company... <br /> <br />

Everything positive!! The stars just lined up for me with Rob's Tree Service. Called and got a live person! Estimate within 4 hours! Work completed the same day!  <br /> <br />

They showed up at 9 AM with a bucket, chipper and remote controlled stump grinder.  Accessed tree from neighbor's driveway.  Finished around 5.  Cleaned up mess as well as they could, considering I offered to leave most wood on ground for interested neighbors to pick up this weekend.  I also asked that they leave stump chippings, as I will use these for mulch after lime treatment.  Highly courteous, professional and efficient.  Best quoted price by far.  Will definately use again.

<br />     As  noted above they did come and remove the tree, performed some cleanup and did some grinding.  We started our clean up of the area by removing the chips from the grinding area (which we paid Rob to do, but he didn't finish).  As we removed the chips we found that they had missed approximately 1/2 of the stump.  My wife called Rob and explained the situation and he assured her it was no problem and they would be back in a few days and finish it off.  From July 21 to now we have made over a dozen phone calls to Rob leaving messages asking for an update with no return phone call.  We have had to push back a landscape contractor because the stump must be removed before he can do his end of the job. <br />     My wife, who was initially impressed with Rob became concerned that something catastrophic had happened to Rob and chose to wait a few days to see if someone would call us back.  I wanted to find out what was going on so left a message from my office at work leaving only my first name and the name of the company asking about some tree work (which we need but I won't be letting Rob even quote it now) and guess what???  I got a call back in about 10 minutes!!  When I identified myself I got a huge story about being on vacation and his guys didn't do any of the follow up and he would contact my wife and I on Sunday August 5th.  It is now the 8th and no phone call and we have left messages again.  We will start the process today to find another service to finish what he started and will of course cost us more money.  We are considering legal action at this point.  My advice is to steer very clear oof this company that will not even do us the courtesy of calling us back. <br />     What started out as a good transaction has been soured by Rob's lack of professional skills and by his lack of honest and timely communication.  As noted in another review we found him in the local paper "The Post"  We should have maybe checked further reports on this company as we have now found that the business bureau has given him a very, very low rating in customer satisfaction.     <br />

Absolutely fabulous, Rob & crew were very efficient.  Within a week, he called and was here to do the job.  All the smaller branches and twigs were taken out to their mulcher.  The yard was immaculate when they were done.   I am very happy with the services provided and will recommend them to any friends or family needing tree service. He said he could come back next spring and do a touch-up at no extra charge. Thanks Rob.!

We spent about $300 with them.  One thing that did bother me was that I was not able to be here during the time that they did the work, but my wife was here.  We failed to get from them when they quoted a price to trim a tree at least a verbal explanation as to the extent of the trimming they were going to be doing and cutting down of the dead branches.  We had something done by another company in the summer of last year on a big tree that we have and from top to bottom they cut out all the dead branches and just did an excellent job.  We assumed that this company would do the same, but when I came back after they had done the job and left they did much less than the company we used the year before, that was a disappointment to me.  The price for what they did we felt was a little high.  What they did was good and their promptness was good and we had no problem with that.  They were on time.  We will not use them again without a detailed explanation of the scope of the work before we start it.

We had three trees we wanted to have cut down because of location and infestation problems.  We got two estimates from top rated tree services on Angie's list, and one estimate from Robs Tree Service, based on service he had performed for our son (who was very satisfied with their service).  The first estimate was way, way higher than Robs.  The second estimate was a little suspect, in that all the owner wanted to know before he even looked at the trees was "what was your lowest estimate and I can beat it".  When I wouldn't give it to him, he started complaining about the expense of 'free estimates' and how he spent so much on gas just to come out.  Ok, fine.  He did finally give me an estimate (which was a bit lower than Robs), but the difference in personalities and initial 'gut-feeling' told me to go with Robs.  Glad I did.
