Rocha Legacy Builders

On 06/23/24 I agreed to and hired the serves of Rocha Legacy Builders. Their job was to replace lawn and do all necessary work needed to be done so as to have a successful outcome. Initaly the job was to take 4 days as discussed. However he cut a bunch of corners, only to find out later, he had multiple projects going on at the same time. He wanted to save time and money and finished in 2 days even while being short handed on the job. At that time he informed me not to worry, that he's been doing this kind of thing for 11 yrs. At the time I didn't think much of it. Little did I know not till several days later I would have a disaster on my hands. One week after his installation of my lawn, would problems and issues arise. Long story short, after only 2 days of trying to fix the increasing growing disasters coming from my lawn, he decided to call it quits and informed me was no longer going to honor the 6 month warranty. Unfortunately Angie sent me an evaluation and i prematurely filled it out to early. Only 2 days after I made final payment to the company, did I filled out the questionnaire and I gave the company a job well done rating. In hindsight, it was a HUGE MISTAKE! I have reached out to Angie many times to discuss this matter and how things evolved from a mistaken good rating to a disasterous very poor rating. Angie needs to appropriately take down my original misguided rating and post my true and final rating and evaluation. As of today, my 1500 sqft front lawn looks 100 times worst today, than my old lawn looked like before it was removed.

It was completed to my satisfaction. Jose came out within half a day, checked everything twice over and as he did not have to charge us for labor or parts, he took a much smaller amount than quoted, which was very fair. I would recommend him and his company.

Very professional and fair price. Honest, and gave very good advice to save me money and time. Would hire again on future projects. Very responsive and even came out on a Sunday on short notice. What a champ.

Fantastic, representative was on time, he immediately figured out the problem, repaired it and did not leave until he tested it several times. I would definitely recommend again.

It was done with precision, he knew exactly what needed to be done to fix my problem I was having, fixed the problems and now works perfectly

JOSE IS NOT LICENSED. I don’t know if he’s operating under someone else’s license. Although his price was cheaper than competitors you get what you pay for & since he does not have a license if someone gets hurt on your property, you would liable for their expenses. Thankfully, nobody was hurt. The grass looks great. HOWEVER, one section died shortly after. Jose blamed my irrigation guy, but he had adjusted my sprinklers and informed me and my dad that I had great coverage and there wouldn’t be any issues prior to the grass dying. Also, the day he showed up he didn’t have enough sod, which was odd. So he came back for a 2nd day and charged me for the additional sod. Jose frequently rescheduled on me, which is very unprofessional. I was the one calling to ask if he’d come & he would give excuses like he had issues with his truck or wrapped up with other clients. A professional company would be great with time management and schedule clients without conflicts. In addition, he never returned to replace the grass that has died nor treat my lawn for weeds. So clearly he doesn’t care if he loses a client. The grass grew so much because I was waiting for him to treat the grass before I mowed it. I left it at that and will no longer be working with him. I would NOT hire Jose nor would I recommend him based on his unprofessional work ethic. Yes, overall the grass looks great, but there are minor issues with it and his unprofessional work ethic makes him extremely unreliable. I could not trust that he would should up when he said he would and that’s an inconvenience when you work all day and either take off or have family come out and he still no shows.

Jose and his team were very professional and did a great job. I didn’t have any issues or concerns about their work ethic or job performance. I would recommend them to others. My background looks great now! Thank you so much!

Just beautifully. Jose was patient and accommodating. The work was completed on time; he and his crew were very diligent. The wall looks great, just as I'd wanted. I will be hiring Rocha Legacy Builders again, to put in some curbings in my back yard.

Jose and his crew were hard-working and knew their job. He was gracious when we had to make a change and courteous in all his interactions with me. I'm entirely satisfied with the garden wall they built. I recommend him to you.

Noah and his crew worked hard and fast to get our projects done. We were initially only doing our front yard but ended up asking him to do our back yard before he was even finished with the 1st project. Would highly recommend to everyone!

Would never suggest Jose and Rocha Legacy Builders! The job quote was 1 day of work with four guys for a two-level retaining/garden wall. We hire him and on day one the guys showed up late at 8:30 am and not the 6:30 am he said when he quoted us. Jose never spoke to me about reconfirming the job as he video-chatted with his two guys who were going to start digging. Jose arrived at 1:30 pm with a beer for his guys and never walked through to confirm the project with me. I asked if he was going to do a string line so we can line up to the property line. He said no. I insisted on doing so as what I was seeing was the line was way off the property line. That started a debate and argument. As a paying customer and homeowner, getting the wall split on the property line is the most important piece. Once we finally did it was clear how off we were. He lied to me about our conversation during the quote and almost refused to make adjustment to be on the property line. I don't get that. Any professional contractor would say yes Anthony let's make it right and do it right as we don't want to cheat anyone out of what is theirs. His guys did slightly dig but then Jose moved the marker so his guys wouldn't have to dig any longer moving the property line over by a foot. He said I was bugging him and keeping him from his work. He didn't do any work this day as his guys were digging and he was completely standing around this day. After the second day (remind you one day was quoted) I had to fire them as he lied to me and my neighbor, he was rude and didn't like any questions I was asking about the job and his ego got the best of him. He told me he wasn't going to talk with me any longer and talk to my neighbor. My neighbor wanted nothing to do with the project and told me to handle it. We both were paying 50/50. So this was a problem as I was onsite at my home 100% of the time as my neighbor wasn't. His two guys were awesome. I gave them pitchers of ice water and allowed them into my home to use the restroom if needed. We were very friendly until Jose came. Long story short as there is much more drama and unnecessary BS to share about Jose, I would never refer him. Cheap isn't always better guys. Drinking on a construction job regardless if it was one or five is unacceptable. The liability alone...YIKES! Plus the project wasn't even halfway completed by day 2. It would have been 3 to 4 days which he assumed we were okay without clear communication and way beyond his quote and promise. They didn't put any additional time in to get the job completed as any contractor who promised a 1-day, 2-day job would have done. Absolutely horrible experience and way too much mental drama from this guy.

Went so great! Fast, Efficient and totally exceeded my expectations! Everything discussed in the initial walk was completed even better than I imagined. Jose and his worker were professional and kept their working area clean! I am so in love with my yard and would highly recommend and hire Jose again!

Contacted me right away and came that day to give an estimate. Preformed the job perfectly. Installed drip system for 5 fruit trees and 30ft planter along the fence, replaced a roto sprinkler, removed plants, and planted 3 plants. Very professional and knew about my RainBird system. Very neat work. They will return and mulch my front yard and replace several more roto sprinklers. I highly recommend. Cost was very reasonable.

It went very well. The sod replacement is taking. And they did the DG very quickly (about 8 hours) and for a lower price than I was expecting. I'll be hiring for work on anothet property soon.
