Rockford Tile Installation

We had been looking for someone to install backsplash tile after we had new countertops installed. It was not a huge job and we seemed to have problems getting contractors to respond to our inquires for quotes. Jake responded very quickly and set up an appointment to quote our project. I am fairly well versed in the trades, and it became apparent quite quickly during Jake's onsite visit to look at our project that he knew what he was talking about. His quote was fair and he was able to get us scheduled between a couple of bigger projects. He showed up on time, did great quality work, spent time explaining things and answering my questions, and the jobsite was cleaned up after he was done for the day. His attention to detail was excellent, as was the finished product. I have no problem highly recommending Jake and Rockford Tile. I will not hesitate to call him back if we ever need any other tile work done.

He did a great job. Took the time to measure everything out and make decisions on best placement. He has attention to detail that we appreciate and he is a trustworthy person to work with. He stands behind his work and we know he would take care of any issues if they were to arise. We highly recommend him.

First of all, Jake was very quick to respond for an estimate. Throughout the estimate process, we changed a number of things along the way and Jake was very prompt in adjusting the estimate to the revised work. When we finally agreed on the details, he set a schedule. In a miserable snowstorm, he showed up at the appointed time on the appointed day and began the tearout. It went smoothly. When he started to do the install, he explained several options for certain things such as the size of the niche and he adjusted his layout accordingly. We wanted a glass tile mosiac running from floor to ceiling at the valve and showerhead. He scalloped the edges of the tile rather than cutting the glass. It is magnificant. We had purchased an expensive glass shower door from Your Shower Door a couple of years before and hoped to use it in the new shower. Jake worked with that company to get the specs of the opening exact so that the door reinstalled perfectly. He knows all the latest materials, procedures and techniques. He worked on Saturday and Sunday in order to complete the job in a very timely manner. Cleanup was meticulous. A true professional. PS - when Your Shower Door came to reinstall their product, they were so impressed with the scalloped wall tile, they had to take a picture of it for future reference.

Jake was extremely detailed and did an amazing job. I didn't even bother to get another quote because I could tell that Jake knew what he was doing and the most important aspect to me was that the job be well done. I absolutely love my floors. Both Jake and Kodi were on schedule, timely, and cleaned up after themselves every day. I highly recommend Rockford Tile and would hire them again.

Install went perfect. Installer provided a free quote quickly and began work when he said he would. He was clean while in our home and was flexible when we needed to modify our design. He also provided cost savings idea's that we hadn't even considered. This is my first time experience on AngiesList and am glad I came here instead of CraigsList. What a great experience!!

We reached out to several tile installation/repair companies through Angie's List, but Rockford Tile was the only one with availability to come out and provide an estimate within a couple of months' time (several did not bother to respond to our inquiry - it appears that there is more work available out there for tile installation/repair-work than what our market can handle). I'm really glad Rockford Tile Installation could fit us in! I could not be happier with the quality of work performed by Rockford Tile Installation. The best part of our interaction was the excellent communication Jake Jorpi maintained throughout the project - he clearly wants his customers to be happy. If I ever need tile work again, I will be calling Rockford Tile Installation.

<p>The price was very competitive, and the quality of the work was excellent.  I was really impressed by Jake's work ethic.  They showed up promptly every day, and worked for 10-12 hours straight until the job was done, including Saturday and Sunday.  Jake the owner is extremely attentive to detail, and took extra time making sure that the diagonal layout looked perfect, as well as choosing the placement of each tile (each tile had a different color) to have the best look.  There were a couple of very minor changes we wanted after the fact and he came back at no cost and made adjustments entirely to our satisfaction.  </p> <p>His worksmanship was excellent, and he kept an extremely clean job site.  Several months later we are still extremely happy with the results and we will be sure to use him again.  <br /> <br /> A year later and we are still extremely happy with the install, in fact, had a second bathroom tiles.</p> <p>You can see photos of the results of the kitchen on www.tilerockford.com</p>
