Rocky did an outstanding job laying the block and brick for our new mailbox. Prior to our project, he communicated and answered our questions in a timely fashion and followed our wishes concerning the design, size, and position of our mailbox. We added a sun room to existing home. Decided on stone for the exterior. Called Rocky to inquire about pricing and timeline and he was out at the house within two days to give a quote and had the work order written up that same day and provided to us via email and followed up with a phone call. He was out on our property within an day and was finished in a few days. The stone looks amazing and his recommendation for the color of grout to set off the stone we chose was spot on. We chose a cottage style stone with varying sizes, shapes and colors. He took great pains in making sure he had all of the various size and style stones and the varying colors were evenly spaced. He sorted through every rock until he found the perfect one for that spot. He was extremely friendly and personable and explained everything he was doing as he went along. I am beyond pleased with his work and highly recommend him to anyone who is needing masonry work performed efficiently and professionally.

I had some repairs done on my deck and outdoor kitchen. I needed "spacing" between stacked stone filled with grout. The area was way more than I could handle with my DIY skills. The original contractor who re-installed the stone did a satisfactory job, but I didn't notice the "gaps" until well after that project was complete. I can see the concrete board in many areas which bothered me. Rocky showed up on time and finished (as scheduled). He left area cleaner than when he started. I paid more than I wanted too, but Rocky's price was in-line with other companies I contacted

Mr. Ellison gave us an estimate and explanation of the work to be done and a time frame for the project. When finished, his estimate, time, and cost were all very accurate. He was very thorough and cordial. The finished product is exactly what we had envisioned. There were no surprises. He is professional, knowledgeable, and resourceful. We are very pleased with his work. I only wish there were a way to show pictures of before and after; the transformation is extraordinary.

It was excellent work---however, the weather did not cooperate. It was raining and very cold. Not only did Mr. Ellison call----but he came back out to the house and explained to my husband why the delay. Now how many professional workmen would drive several miles in person to explain the delay. Finally, the weather cooperated and Mr. Ellison was prompt in arriving to do the masonry repair work. He arrived each day at the time he told me he would arrive, he was extremely polite and professional in his behavior, and he cleaned up the area each day before he left. Mr. Ellison was training a young man---who also was very polite. We were so pleased with the brick work, that we asked Mr. Ellison to build us a stone mailbox. He suggested that we put a solar light on top and now we have a cheerful light to welcome us home each night. Rocky and crew chilsled out old morter and repointed a limestone wall by our church in Lenoir City. The old wall was pretty rough looking, but the new one is all spic and span. They worked steadily, they cleaned up after work every day, and they were very professional. I would recommend them for any masonry or stone work. Rocky also repaired limestone steps at my home a few years ago and did another excellent job.

Rocky is so much in demand that he put us on a waiting list from last fall to now to receive his services. Although it was disappointing not to be able to use our fireplace at all last winter (we had to keep it covered with tarp to prevent further damage), I was very glad we waited for the expert quality services of this very honest and knowledgeable skilled craftsman. He was very up front with us that he would not be able to start until the spring, and kept us informed of the timeline as we moved up the wait list. He did an excellent job on our project and his price was very reasonable for this multi-day job. He also took the time to carefully explain the details of the work that needed to be done. This information was very much appreciated. He takes very good care of his customers. We will not be using anyone else for any future masonry needs on our all-brick home. <br>

Rocky is a great guy, but he is almost too busy for himself. We got on the repair list last fall and his first opening was in April. Our house has a brick chimney and we knew it was starting to spall. We had our chimney cleaned and they informed us it was about 35 brick that needed to be replaced and gave us a quote well above what Rocky's quote was. Rocky kept his quote price even though we had to wait though winter (and lost quite a bit more bricks due to the freeze/thaw cycle). Rocky came out and started work in the morning and worked all day for 2 days to get our chimney back in shape. I think it was almost 70 bricks that needed repair. He did a great job being personable and professional while on site. I have included a few pictures of before and after. If you need a job done right call Rocky, just be prepared for a bit of a wait for someone this high in demand.

In my husband's own words, "Rocky is the only reason we are members of the Angie' s List." Most of the service providers we used from the Angie's List were either fraud or did not live up to the reputation, but Rocky was everything a good small business owner should be--responsible, caring about the customers, and taking the pride of one's work.

I needed a smooth, level work surface in my garage, which had a very uneven and bumpy floor made of old brick.  Rocky used a masonry saw to cut a 6X9 foot section out of the brick, leaving clean edges.  He chiseled out, collected and hauled off the old brick, and dug out enough of the dirt that had been beneath the brick to allow for the desired depth of cement (about 4 inches).  He then installed steel reinforcing rods, mixed the cement in a small portable mixer, and poured/surfaced the pad.   <br> <br>This was a tricky task because the unevenness of the original floor did not allow him to simply use the sides of the hole he had cut as forms for the pad, nor was it possible to use form boards.  In some spots, the level pad was slightly beneath the height of the old brick surface, and at other spots it was above the old brick surface.  Rocky did a very nice job of splitting the difference between the high and low areas of the original floor to minimize the difference in both directions while keeping the finished pad surface level.  All the pad edges were beveled to achieve a nice appearance and to avoid corners that could increase the risk of tripping or interfere with rolling things onto the pad. <br> <br>Rocky was very personable, knowledgeable and communicated well about the design and implementation of this project.  He charged what I feel was a reasonable price for the job and demonstrated a strong investment in my satisfaction, along with an admirable work ethic and positive attitude.  I would gladly use this provider again for future projects. <br> <br> <br>

<p>I had been dealing with rain getting into the chimney and coming into the home through vents in my fireplace and inside the box and soaking the brickwork and causing lots of effervescence and damage to an expensive brass surround.. Water damage has also caused rusting etc. This has been an issue on and off for several years with other's trying to fix only to have the problem return a couple of years later. This year it was much worse than previous times</p> <p>Rocky is especially knowledgeable in his field and applied this to fix the issues I had (..and sensitive to the past history in trying to get fixed)</p> <p>I am extremely pleased with work done. </p> <p>Rocky and his assistant, Terry, worked professionally and provided services that he said they would. Was especially pleased with the clean up after completion.... (mark of good tradesman). I was particularly happy with the measures he went to regarding working safely at elevation. No ladders...he put up scaffolding for ease of access and safety!!</p> <p>They matched up the mortar color to where it is indistinguishable from the older mortar and was effective in dealing with all the cracks and mortar issues. He installed a new top quality cap seal and completed all the work he had contracted to do.</p> <p>The day after completion we had a<b> really severe rainstorm </b>which in the past would have caused much water to get into the fireplace and on the brick inside the house.
