He was good but, following instructions, he wasn't so good. He didn't complete all the tasks that I wanted done. I felt like he was only going to do one thing because, I wasn't wanting to pay him more. I knew what needed to be done but, not how it needed to be done. I specifically asked him if he knew how to put the screens in those screens, they were kits. His intention was to do one job. You cut screen, put the rubber in, put the frame together and then stretch it. It's not hard. I just wanted him to put two screens together and put them in two windows. I have no screens. He didn't have a measuring tape. He knows his craft, just finds a way to get out of it. He was early and on time. I thought the price was reasonable and he had it done in an hour. I had everything that he needed. He knows his stuff. I don't care how you do it, just do it.

He did everything perfect. I immediately started referring him new business. I would definitely use him again. He did great work. <br />

<p>it is awful.  the original cost was based on him leveling my floor  which I thought needed to be done evidently it did not and putting in a new floor </p> <p>he ruined my wooden lfloor with is messy work. he  left me with electric sockets hanging out and unusable</p> <p>he did the same behind my refrigerator  which was supposedly built in</p> <p>. the hole to move pipes is not properly covered. he took me to a cabinet place that has a  F rating at BBB. and he never showed up on time or at all. He also gave the cabinet maker the incorect dimensions they showed me a text message.</p> <p>he worked 3 full days in six months I kept a calandar of his work. He would come for 2 hours and leave  maybe once a week</p> <p>The latest thing is that he did my bathroom 6 months ago and he installed my brand new toilet incorrectly. I had to pay $250+</p> <p>to have it installed corectly and he had ruined the finish with his tools on the matching toilet seat. I had a contractor come and look at it months ago and kept  asking him to fix it which he never did but I had to when it started a leak.I had asked him to seal the grout in the bathroom and he told me it was beneith him so now my bathroom shower wall has different colored grout. took him  6months to reseal a leak in the shower door he installed</p> <p>he never calls you back and does not care how much of my time he wastes, especially waiting for him to show up</p> <p>I was being very nice and gave him the fiirst payment before xmas as I knew he had kids. he did not start until march 2014</p> <p>he asked for 250 to pay his workman and i gave him 500  so he would have some money</p> <p>I hve been more than nice to him all along and he has reall not performed his part at all oh and he got me to pay $600 to rmove the garbage frm my bathroom I have been toled i was taken for a ride on that as it was only tiles and toilet and sink that was it</p> <p>i would not recomend him at all  and would like part of my money back as he never completed the tasks</p> <p>I can't use my oven because when I open the oven door, the refrigerator handle is in the way. The front door can be either left side or right side open. This refrigerator is a European refrigerator. He did not have the appropriate screwdriver for it. I provided the correct screwdriver and he refused to fix it! He did not help me at all! </p> <p></p> <br />

I took advantage of the "Big Deals" and hired Rogers Construction through Angie's List for a complete bathroom reno. <br /> Roger was punctual at beginning of the project. His team Luis and Antonio quickly completed the demo and removed the rubbish and Luis was careful with detail when he installed the tile work. Roger suggested design ideas and worked with me with payment questions. <br /> The completed reno work dragged on longer than expected due to other projects Roger was working on, but it wasn't too bad. <br /> There was some confusion about when and how the service provider gets reimbursed from Angie's List (Big Deals) for the down payment that is due to them for a project. Roger had no knowledge that the down payment paid to Angies List was supposed to eventually go to him and because of this he expected the expense to come from me when the final payment was made. Attempting to help him better understand, I explained the process to him and encouraged him to contact his rep for details. As I read other reviews after my bathroom was completed I saw that other customers continued to have similar problems. Angie's List needs to be more clear to their service providers about the details involving the "Big Deals".  Maybe this is why he was placed in the "penalty box". <br /> The final cost was more than what the "Big Deal" was offering because the project required additional labor at my request. <br /> Overall, I was happy with the finished work. The labor, attention to detail and the overall design of the room was impressive. My new bathroom was exactly how I envisioned it to be. I would recommend him. <br />

Roger visited my apt and agreed to do the work for $1500. That was to remove the shower floor, re-set it and tile. He also agreed to re-caulk the walls since some of the old grout was cracking. The entire lower row of wall tiles in my shower would need to be removed in order to remove the floor tiles in the shower. I agreed to buy those wall tiles separately from the $1500 fee. I paíd 1/3 of the fee as a deposit. Another 1/3 hall-way thru and another 1/3 when finished. Roger assured me the work would be completed in 3 days, and it was. If he agreed to be in my apt at a certain time, he was always punctual. He did a great job and was very friendly and professional. I honestly wish I'd hired Roger 2 years ago when my bathroom was renovated. I was very happy with the price, the work that was done and getting to know Roger a little bit. I would hire him again in the future and would recommend him to anyone. <br />

First he didn’t want to give me credit for the $1,000. He said that Angie’s List didn’t give him money.  Then he estimated my bathroom at $8,000 and brought it down to $7,000. He was also supposed to finish the job before Christmas. He didn’t finish until after the first of the year. I paid for extra work to be done. He said he'd have more people working with him and it was just him. The quality of the work was fine, but the price was more than I had expected. His Big Deal should've been spelled out more.

He did a wonderful job.  He was very pleasant to work with.  He picked up another job by my neighbor based on the work he had done in my home.

This is a follow-up to my first review, which was lukewarm at best.  Rogers Construction installed my floors (floating) and built a bookcase and structure in the entryway.  Over  the past month, the planks have separated leaving large gaps.  In the middle of the living room, there are two long gaps; in the middle of the short hallway, 1 gap; and in the middle of the kitchen, 1 long gap.  Moreover, the flooring was not completed under the stove, an unfinished task that I was not aware of until  I replaced the larger old stove with a smaller new one. Moreover, the bookcase and entryway structure are coming apart at the top and side seams. <br /> I've had other contractors look at this work over the past few weeks and all of them have said the same thing:  "What in the world did he do? This is bad!  Call him and tell him to make it right."  I obtained his services through Angie's List and am therefore getting in touch with you so that you can explain the problem to him. If he does not respond, I will take other steps that  will address my issues from legal, licensing and Better Business perspectives. As a customer, I was located 1 1/2 hours from Rogers shop.  Completion was to be week of September 1st; but due to commuting and delays completion was first week of November.  Roger did a good job even though I had to spend $2500.00 more than I had planned. <br />

My home was 1 1/2 hours from Rogers shop.  Origional completion date was the end of August, but was finished o/a 11 November.  Roger is a hard worker and has very good tips and recommendations. The fact that my home was so far away created many problems for this project.  Outcome was a really nice new bathroom.

Roger was great and I would definately use him again! He was friendly, and very eager to do the best possible job. He hung four curtain rods, put up a paper towel holder and fixed an old broken door knob and latch. He also gave me some good advice for other small projects that I could do on my own. He is a little bit relaxed about time (punctuality), but he did give me a call to let me know he'd be late and it wasn't a problem. Overall, I'd give him an A+ if I could. I live in an old apartment with impossible walls and he did a FANTASTIC job. I will call him again in the future if I need to.

It worked out perfectly fine. He was very professional and he did all that was asked. He took precautions in protecting our property before beginning the work. It was a really pleasant experience overall. It wasn't stellar but it wasn't poor.

He did the job very well, very sound, and professional.  He figured out a way to put the wheel back on and make it functional. He was really fast, thorough, and very open to suggestions. He had a lot of creative ideas himself.  He did all the job within the 4-hour period.
