Rogers Services called promptly after initial booking and said they'd be here on one of my preferred dates - Nov 23. Did not come and did not call. I called morning of Nov 24 and was told we weren't on the schedule, but they would be there about 2:00. At 3:45 (having heard nothing from them) I called and was told they were on the way.  About 4:30 I went outside to retrieve an item and saw 2 gentlemen working on a riding mower in our driveway. Walked out and introduced myself. One was  Roger - presumably the owner. I was surprised that there was no discussion about our expectations, and expected him to knock when the mower was functioning and they were ready to start. Nope. About 4:50 work began by one man. Roger sat in his truck on the phone the entire time. Yard was mowed, but our St Augustine grass was cut too short (it should be at least 2 1/2 inches high, but was cut less than 2"). When we went outside to check on progress at 5:45, it was dark enough the worker - now using a weed eater - said he couldn't continue, even though he wasn't finished. He also mentioned that he was tired, having been picked up to come to our home from a two-day painting job. Fortunately he didn't finish, because every place he used the weed eater the grass was scalped almost to the ground - around flower beds, against part of the house wall, and in a space between a deck and flower bed. In fact he took some areas down to dirt, and we will probably have to re-sod those areas, which once had grass and now have mud. It was too dark to see the damage at this point.  <br /> My husband approached Roger in the truck and asked if they would return tomorrow to finish the job. He was told no, they were done. When my husband pointed out that we had received at most 1 of 4 hours paid for through Angie's List, Roger said, "Oh, you're one of those coupon people. We will be here between 10-10:30 tomorrow." No-one showed up or called. It has been 5 days and we've heard nothing from them. <br /> <br /> <br />

I was pleased with the job they did, they were right on time and brought a crew of 3 to efficiently finish the work. <br />

They weren't to bad. They did break my screen door, but they did get new glass put in, so I can't complain about that. It took them over a week. I thought it was a good price. After they broke the glass, I couldn't get a hold of them, and I didn't get a call when they didn't show up. I had to call them to find out that they were running behind. I waited a good 30 minutes before I was able to get a hold of them.

First, let me say that my back yard was a disaster!!  The grass & weeds were at least 5 feet tall and it looked like an overgrown jungle.  Rogers Services showed up on time and got right to work!  Even though the deal I purchased was for "2 workers for 2 hours or 1 worker for 4 hours", Rogers Services showed up with 5 guys!  They mowed the grass, weeded the beds, cleaned out unwanted plants, and raked up the leaves.  They cleaned up everything and hauled away the excess.  They finished everything in about an hour.  They even checked with me several times during the process to be sure they were doing exactly what I wanted.  I was so impressed!  Would use them again for sure!

I bought a $149 big deal and it was okay. It was just too quick.  Three guys came and they did a little bit. This was the first time I did work with Angie's List. They showed up and did not explain this work so I had to go back and have them explain that it was one hour per guy. They took their time setting up and did not get started right way. I figured they would have their tools connected, like the weed eater, and be ready to go, but they didn't. I don't think I got the whole time I was supposed to get. They showed up on time, but sat in their truck. Then they got out and started putting their tools together. They cleaned up, it was okay.

They showed up on a rainy day when I fully expected them to call and cancel. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat! <br />

Requested to have weeds and everything thoroughly cleaned out, clean out raised garden bed and remove leaves near pool.  The cleaned out the garden bed and removed large trash from yard.  However they took a weed wacker to the rock areas and sprayed weed killer stating that it would take care of everything for a while. They left all the trimmings in the rocks instead of blowing them out.  Within weeks I had grass and weeds growing from rocks.  They also left a large pile of leaves and yard debris behind my pool instead of taking that with them.  I also paid an extra $50 for them to cart away the trash, which I was fine with knowing I would pay more for haul-away when buying the coupon.  Good to hire if you have basic mowing or yard work not for tedious tasks such as cleaning out rock beds. <br />

Completed all within 4 hours. Very satisfied! <br />

They arrived a little early, which was fine as it was drizzling.  They were gone in a little over an hour although it was my understanding I had four hours paid for.  It was a large crew so they accomplished a lot in a short time.  However, I paid extra to have them haul off the trimmings, and when I discussed purchasing and spreading mulch in my flower beds, I was discouraged by estimates of two truck loads and all day needed to perform the job. My impression was that they were anxious to get on to the next customer. <br />

did a good job clearing out the rose bushes and good job trimming hedges. <br />

I was first impressed by how quickly service was scheduled.  The last yard service I used did a good job, but it took weeks to get an appointment, which was further delayed by rain.  Rogers scheduled me for two days after initial contact and purchase of the Angie's List Deal.   <br /> The crew of two men arrived in the time period scheduled.  I showed the crew leader around the yard and explained what I would like to have done.  They then got right to work.  The job was paid for a certain amount of time, but a time-consuming task that I had asked them to leave for last, to do if time permitted, took a long time and other task were going to be left undone.  I realized it was simply a misunderstanding, and called the office to pay for more time.  I was told that because it was a misunderstanding, I did not have to pay, and the work we needed done was completed.  I did pay the fee to have large tree limbs hauled away, a charge which was fair.   <br /> The two men worked hard.  The older of the two, Carl, supervised the younger as he worked.  Both did a good job.  Carl was more knowledgeable about the trees and plants, and asked me several questions as the work progressed, to be sure that they were doing what we wanted and needed to have done.  He also made some recommendations.   <br /> I was pleased with the quality of the work, with the friendly, hard-working crew members, and with the owner, who I spoke to over the phone.  Rogers charges a very reasonable fee, and does good work; I will definitely use them again.
