AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Ron Williams is a thief and stole our insurance money and left us with a demolished house. Completely gutted our house and left trash there for us to clean up. He led us on for months and had us out of our house for the holidays. Our children didn’t even have a real Christmas bc of him. All he does is give us excuses and never answers us on where our money is. Don’t EVER do business with this man! Wish I could give him negative stars!

AVOID AT ALL COST !!!!!! Ron took 2/3 of my insurance settlement, subcontracted out a few of the repair jobs, and disappeared. In the beginning, he was not prompt, always have excuse why he had to reschedule and I thought was because during the February 20201 freezing disaster he is super busy, but after received insurance settlement, he was quite responsive to ask for payment so he can get material and start repairing. It took him 2 months to finally get painters in the house to fix the sheetrock and paint. took a long time to paint because according to the Painters (i ran into them while at the house), mention Ron always have some excuse not picking up the paint or pay the painters to get the paints. I end up paying for the paint so painters can start and finish painting. Now the painters told me Ron never fully paid them when all jobs are complete and yet, Ron still ask the painters to paint two more houses. I want to say only those not thinking would continue work for Ron. Now the only repair done in my house were Insulation, Painting, shower walls... but Ron went AWOL and did not install my shower glass door, replace intercom, kitchen cabinets not stained, one room not painted, bathroom accessories not hung, switch plates not put back, lights not hung, and more... I would avoid Ron Williams at all cost! He has stressed me out a lot and took most of my repair settlements from Insurance and disappeared. I left him so many text messages, left messages with call center, and called him numerous times and no response. I have to stress DO NOT USE RON WILLIAMS !!!!!

Most frustrating 9 months of having to deal with this company and their lack of customer service. They came out 4 times at the beginning to just get the tarp on the roof to prevent more damage. Every job they did had to call them back to redo or fix what they had overlooked. Trying to get them to call back you back was like pulling teeth. Most work was subcontracted out, he does not have many permanent people working full time for him. Whole house will be repainted this summer because the paint job they did is horrible. Our outdoor grill needs to be sealed due to water leaking in it. After the roofers replaced the roof they didn't put the flashing around the fireplace, next rains came and we had a water leak down our wall. Ron never came out to see the work that was done, he always sent out his foreman Miguel and he just overlooked a lot of the things going on and would let the workman off instead of making them fix all the mistakes they had done.

They did a very good job. Everything he did stood out for me. He was very good at listening and told us what was going to happen when and he made sure that it did. A lot of contractors are overcomitted and under delivers. That was not the case with Ron. His people were very courteous and cleaned up after themselves. It was generally a good experience.

Everyone he hired to do the work was excellent. He hired different people to do the work.  They were all nice people.  They had to put up new walls, roof, flooring, painting, paneling, doors, windows, and replaced a ceiling fan and everything for my bedroom, since a lady drove a car into my bedroom.  Everyone was really nice and good except for him. Most of the people were contractors that he hired, but he did have one person that did work for him.  It took 2-3 months to do this room because he would start this job and then leave and go to another job and work.

THE JOB: The kitchen was completely gutted and a completely new one was to be installed, including, new taller upper cabinets,  granite counter tops, windows moved and replaced with low-e vinyl, door moved and replaced with french doors, ceramic floors torn up and replaced with vinyl, plus much more.   I was led to believe that this job would take approximately three months to complete.  There were repeated delays in work being done.  They didn't show up for weeks at a time (for a whole month just before I fired them).   Ron williams was never available and I never saw or spoke to him after the contract was signed.   His representatives whom I did speak to were at times rude or unavailable.   The appliances were moved but not covered/protected so they were splattered with paint and a piece was broken off stove that is not replaceable.  The bay window was never installed correctly so i had to pay another contractor to install it.  The shelves in the cabinets bowed before anything was ever put on them;  had to hire another contractor to fix the cabinets.  The plumbing was installed incorrectly; had to hire a plumber to fix the plumbing.  Had to hire a painter and an electrician to make corrections as well.  I've kept all documentation and photos of every thing.

This was a tough review to write. Overall, I am very happy with final result of the completed bathroom remodel. It is beautiful and turned out better than expected. That said, I had enough issues with Ron Williams Construction that I cannot recommend this company, nor, would I use them again. I scheduled an appointment for a quote in August of 2010. The initial meeting was rescheduled twice - once because someone was sick and another due to an emergency job that needed to be done. During the quote I explained what I wanted done in great detail. Ron Williams did not take any notes during this discussion with the exception of some measurements taken. I explained that I suspected there was rotted wood under the tile floor and wanted that repair included in the quote. Ron agreed that would be in the quote and it would be fixed. He stated that if the rotted wood expanded beyond the bathroom there would be an additional charge to which I agreed. I also asked for a frameless glass shower door and a custom cabinet to be fitted above the toilet. Ron Williams suggested centering the shower head and shower drain which I thought was a great idea. A few days later Ron came by with a quote that seemed to include everything that we had discussed. I was very impressed with their quote which Ron stated verbally included a 5 year warranty. That was very important to me as the other companies only gave a 1 year warranty (upon completion of the job I received only a 1 year warranty certificate). Once I accepted and signed the contract, Ron scheduled an appointment with me and his Project Manager, Paul. The purpose of this meeting was to go over the contract and show Paul the bathroom to be remodeled. Paul arrived on time but Ron ?forgot? about the appointment (Ron called Paul during our meeting). I showed Paul the space and we reviewed the items in the contract. He placed a lock box on my back door so the workers could come and go without me being there. The work began on 9/7/10 and I was told by Paul it would take approximately 3 weeks to be completed. The demolition began and was completed in about a week. After that, two weeks went by and people only came 2 days over that 10 day period. I work from home 2-3 times per week and knew nobody was showing up. I called Paul everyday by 9am to get a status. I told him that we must pick up the pace and he said he would. Once the job began to pick up again I had problems with the quote. Paul told me that the following was not included in the quote - the frameless shower door, the centering of the drain and shower head, the custom cabinet over the toilet and the rotted pier replacements. The quote included a ?shower door? that, according to the initial meeting with Ron, meant it should have been a frameless shower door. Also, the quote included a cabinet above the toilet that was to be a custom made cabinet. The damage under the floor that I wanted included in the quote was also not included. I paid them ?their cost? for the floor and they agreed to pay for the frameless shower door and cabinet. If you use this company make sure that every detail is in the contract. Simply saying shower door is not sufficient - make sure it says Frameless Shower door, custom cabinets, etc. Everything that I paid extra should have been included in the quote. Getting the tile person to work on the bathroom was the most frustrating part of the job. He was working on several jobs at the same time and my job did not seem like a priority. The tile person would tell me he would be here at a certain time and never came. This happened again and again. I think Paul finally understood that I was fed up and started to really step up the pace. Unfortunately, that meant the tile person worked over weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) to accelerate the job. I insisted that the job be completed by Halloween because I had scheduled a Halloween party on October 30th. The job was completed at 10:00 p.m. on October 29th. Not in my wildest dreams did I think it would take so long considering the job began on September 7th. This was 8 weeks after the start date. Ron Williams Construction got more done in the last two weeks than the first 6 weeks. I doubt the job would have been completed on October 29th without me insisting it be finished by a certain date. It has taken me this long to write this review of Ron Williams Construction as I had a warranty issue. There was a problem with cracked grout in the shower. I reported the problem in December and it was taken care of in March. This was after numerous emails and phone calls. I was concerned that my warranty claim would not be honored if I submitted a negative review. Make sure every small detail is in the contract and express to them how many times people should be on site working per week.

I would rate the carpentry work as A+ - I would rate the painting as F-. I have relayed all my concerns to Ron Williams and to say his reaction was abrasive is putting it mildly. The painters were a joke. I came home 2 times at lunch during their almost 4 week stay and their radio could be heard from the courtyard and there were open drink cups sitting on my sofa. I can only imagine this went on every single day. After an hour walk-through and discussion with both Ron and Paul after I had paid for all the work and during which Ron told me he could get me a quote to fix what was wrong - I was called a liar and told my expectations were out of line! Later that day - Ron called me to tell me that all boards that were unpainted on the ceiling would be repaired and the gaps would be caulked. After 2 days of painting - about 5 repairs out of about 25 - were made in total. Obvious missed paint was within 3 inches of repairs. (I explained this to Paul in a telephone conversation.) I have finally given up - which is what I think they wanted all along! I would never, ever, recommend this company to anyone.

It went very well from the time of the estimate....Wanda was fantastic in seeing my vision and finding the tile and trim to match to the finished product. The job was slower than anticipated due to the many tiling challenges and an awkward space, but in the end the additional time was well worth it; the tile work is beautiful and distinctive. Paul did an excellent job of coordinating and keeping in touch with me. Overall, I would pick them again for a big project, as they are extremely professional and have a team of craftsmen that are the same.

It was a fabulous experience. We were apprehensive about the whole project and hoping we had chosen the right company because we had not undertaken anything of this magnitude in our house before. Everyone we dealt with was extremely helpful and nice. We especially liked Paul who was the project manager. He was always upbeat, listened to our concerns, gave us great feedback and suggestions and was overall one of the best parts about our remodeling experience. He always showed up when he said he would and work was always completed on time. In the end, we ended up with a great looking, functioning bathroom that we are very pleased and proud of thanks to Ron Williams and Paul. We did have a little leak from the bathtub which we could see on the ceiling directly under the bathroom. When we called Paul about this, he came right over and the problem was resolved almost immediately. We have not had any problems since and the bathroom has now been in the house for a year. We hope to use Ron Williams again for our next project.

I had to clear out EVERYTHING from my dad's home to sell it and I was pressed for time. Ron's crew did an excellent job of clearing out everything in a timely manor. I ended up hiring them to also build a deck and replace the front door with a new one. Both turned out great. I highly recommend this company.

This company was responsive and diligent about consistently working on my job. The quality of the work is excellent. They use very few subs, mostly employees & so excellent work ethic.
