It went very well and just this last week we were contacted by a follow-up inspector from Roof Crafters to determine if the job was done up to par. He said that it was.

Came right away to install proper chimney cap to prevent leaks when it rained. Then scheduled the new roof about a week later. The crew of 6 came on time at 0730 and ripped off the old roof and replaced it. They added two vents to properly vent attic. Then they cleaned up all around the house, porches and decks. They were hard workers, did a professional job at a competitive price and were fastidious about cleaning up. Highly satisfactory results.

After we called for an estimate they came next day. They made thorough review of roof, discovered problem with chimney which was substantiated with photos, and gave very competitive estimate. After estimate was accepted they were very helpful in ensuring shingle color was exactly what we needed. Work was completed exactly on promised schedule. Care was taken not to damage garden plantings. Crew were pleasant, polite etc. Clean-up was done very thoroughly. We were very well pleased with the job and to date it remains leak proof.
All went smoothly. Had a very rainy two months, so delays weren't any fault of Roof Crafters. They put a double crew on it and got it done in one day, which was great by us.. Thanks, So far, it hasn't rained but I really don't expect any problems and I'm sure if there was they would attend to it.. All in all, We are very pleased, Thank You, Roof Crafters, all the workmen, Dave & family! Best Regards,
Call Roof Grafters and 2 gentlemen came out a saw the job and told me what was wrong and the cost to fix the leak. I agreed and the job was done as agreed. However; the leak was NOT fixed and Icalled back to get them to come back and see what else could be done. I was told they would be back the next day. The next day came and went with anyone returning. I called again and was told they would be there in the afternoon. Once again no one came to see the problem. After that, all of my calls were sent to voicemail and never a return call from Roof Grafters. I made and left approx. 5 voice mails and never a recall. I was willing to pay for whatever work needed to be done to fix the leak but I never spoke to anyone from their company since they received my check.
Another company had replaced the roof and left the skylights leaking. The original roofer tried multiple times to fix the leaks. I eventually had Roof Crafters come out and they told me they never would have done the roof without replacing the skylights as it is impossible to replace a 20-year old roof leaving the old skylights. I hired them to do the skylights, which were custom sized. They have a new way of doing it that did not create any mess inside the house, for which I was most grateful after having buckets all over the house catching water for months. The skylights are supposed to be hurricane rated and look good. Two years later, one of them started leaking. I had to call numerous times to get them here, but they eventually came and fixed it without charge. They said it was normal for the sealant to shrink after a couple of years. All in all, I'm very pleased with them and would use them again.

"Customer, thank you for trusting in us & I want to appologize for it taking longer than it should have to come out...sometimes we do get over consumed but I will always call or show up. please dont hesitaite to call shall you have any other problems with your skylights or anything else. Thats what your warranty is for!!"

We got several bids for the job. When he came to do job one thing we asked for was to get the 1500 tax credit. He assured and assured us that we would qualify. They did the work and he would not give us an invoice or anything afterwards to get the tax credit. It turns out the roof does not for the tax credit. We ended up with no guarantee or warranty and missed out on the tax credit. He will not return our phone calls now so we have no idea what materials are on our roof.
Response from Roof Crafters
"We never discussed a tax credit with the customer at any time. We installed a Metal roof on this house the Customers had all the literature & our contract describing scope of work. the customer was very impressed with our work & crewman and in fact called to ask us when we were coming to pick up the check. Again i appologize for the confusion on the "tax credit" thing....?"

Crew arrived on time and performed a very professional and efficient job of removing the old roof. Clean up of the debris was done and material hauled away. No damage was done to shrubs or landscape. New roof was put on and final clean up performed all to our complete satisfaction.

The roof itself was done on time in a very professional manner. But they did not complete their obligiation. As part of the "roof job" they were to replace the existing skylight with a new larger unit that also contained a blind. For six to 9 months after the roof and skylight were installed they kept telling us that the blind was "on order" .They never did get the blind. I sent a certified letter after 9 months of phone calls brought no results. The certified letter was refused and returned to me by the post office. I gave up and simply bought and installed the blind myself. Although it cost me about $200. I was able to order the blind and install it in about a week. Also one of the rain diverters leaked in the center. Every time I asked them to fix it, they told me they would fix it when they installed the blind. I also gave up on them and fixed the rain diverter myself. As far as the new roof warrany goes, I hope I never have a problem because I don't believe they will honor their warranty since they did not honor the original contract.

I had an excellent experience with Roof Crafters. They were professional, courteous, and responsive throughout the entire process. They use quality materials and really paid attention to the details when installing the roof. We obtained several quotes from other companies, and their prices are competetive. We would recommend Roof Crafters to our friends and family and would use them again in the future.

The crew arrived early this morning promptly beginning tearing off old shingles, inspecting wood and rolling out the felt. Each roofer knew his assignment and the crew did not stop working until the roofing job was done. I noticed no shortcuts and was extremely pleased to look at the finished product. I hired the right company for the roofing job and if I had to do it over tomorrow I would use them again.

I used another roofer to replace my roof in June 2009. From then until November, the skylights leaked and rain pelted the siding where he removed rain diverters and did not replace them. Roof Crafters did a wonderful job of replacing six custom skylights at a reasonable cost and fixed all of the other roofing problems. They were very professional. I wish I had used them in the first case.

The estimate was fair, and they even told me how to save money by choosing a less expensive shingle. The crew was on time and professional. They cleaned up every spec of debris. While the roof was exposed, they discovered some rotted wood on the chimney. They told me about the rot, and when I asked how much more it would cost to fix it, the reply was, "It's included in the price-no charge". The roof is beautiful and since they covered all the entry areas, we no longer have "critters" in the attic. Great job! I highly recommend them.

They lined my gutters with something that is guaranteed for 20 years, I haven't had any leaks since. It is about as thick as a legal pad, and seems very pliable. They seemed to know exactly what the problem was, and fixed it promptly. I couldn't have asked for a better and more smooth process. Dave Owens was who I worked with, he was very professional.
