They tried for 3 years to fix a leaky roof and were unable to do it. After we hired a new roofer to do it properly, we asked for our money back. They agreed, but have not paid us. We took them to small claims court and they didn't even show up. It's been 8 months since the judge ruled in our favor, and they still refuse to pay. Given this fact, we have worked with the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) of CA, who has officially revoked their license to do business in CA, due to their illegal activity. They are now operating illegally. The revocation even stated that it the leadership of this company is unable to do business legally in CA (e.g., they cannot just open up a new company to hide from this illegality). If you hire RoofRx or any company under its leadership (Shane Davis Hall, Marco Guerra, or Eduardo Guerra) know this: they cannot pull a permit to do the work, they are operating illegally, and if they are discovered working on your home they can actually be arrested ([*** Link removed ***] That could seriously hold up the work....

Our experience with RoofRx was terrible. They came to our house more than 8 times in 4 years to fix a leaky roof, for which we paid them about $4000. They were never able to fix the problem. A number of their workers even admitted "oops, yeah, we messed up before. This should fix it." But of course, it didn't. One RoofRx worker, when we asked if this would finally fix it, said "It better! If it doesn't, I'm coming back and torching the house!" Nice; exactly what you want to hear from people to whom you're paying your hard-earned money. After we hired another roofing company to fix the problem, we approached RoofRx and asked if they'd honor their guarantee by paying us back. After many stalling tactics over several months, they agreed to refund our money, but it's been 16 months (and counting!) and they still have not reimbursed us. We took them to small claims court, but they did not attend the hearing, and the judge ruled in our favor. They have received official court documents informing them of this ruling. Yet, they still refuse to pay. Clearly, they do substandard work, do not honor their agreements, and have little regard for honest business dealings. Disappointing all around.

It turned out well. The cost went over the big deal price a little because they had to removed our gutter covers and put them back on. We didn't have any complaints.

I have never in my life received such bad service. Repaired our roof with BRAND NEW MATERIALS in September 2016. It cost THREE TIMES the amount to repair than what they "estimated." Toward the end November 2016, there was a major leak, ruining our ceiling and a significant area of our carpet. When writing to them for response, there was no reply. I had to call them. They sent out a tech to fix it. It began leaking again two days later. We called them again, expressing the urgency of the matter. To be fair, this second guy was actually helpful and we haven't had any problems with that particular leak since. That being said, it is now February and we have ANOTHER leak in a different room in the house. We called again and they said that the area manager would be out on February 15 to help resolve the issue of having TWO LEAKS WITHIN SIX MONTHS of having them work on it. We just received a phone call from them rescheduling our appointment to meet with the area manager to even later this month. They said they would SELL us a tarp in the meantime. I have attempted to reach out to them twice already today and it has gone to voicemail both times. No calls returned yet. UNBELIEVABLE.

After they first reported the job as complete, I found several areas not sealed, and some flashing not installed. They fixed the problems promptly. I noticed that some gravel had fallen in the attic, because I could see the gravel on a clear access panel going up there. I thought it was normal and didn't bother bringing it up. I paid them. Later, when doing work on the ceiling, I discovered they had really left a lot of gravel in the attic. I called them to remove it. They argued it wasn't from the roof job because the gravel was too big and clean to fit through the slats in the roof. This was ridiculous to me since the gravel had fallen onto the clear window to the attic during the job. They came to the job site at least 3 times to inspect it. They wanted to meet one more time to tell me again that the gravel did not come from the job, but I refused. I asked if they were going to clean up the gravel as we agreed in contract. They didn't reply. I called and left messages and they did not return my calls. I wrote emails, and they didn't return my emails. I called individual employees who's contact I had. They said they would talk to the manager who would call me back. Nobody ever did. Later we had two leaks, a couple months after the job – one quite major. The ceiling was leaking steadily and it blew out our ceiling lamp. I called in for warranty repair and they sent someone to look. I decided not to mention the gravel at that time, because I didn't want it to slow my warranty repair. The service technician said he would send his report to the office. He said that they would likely get an emergency team out there right away to at least install a tarp to protect my place until they could fix it. They did not install the tarp and the next day it rained. Now the stove under the leak doesn't work. Turning it on trips the circuit breaker. I called on the third morning and left a message on the answering machine. I also wrote an email. Neither was returned that day. I also called the service tech in the morning how said that a manager would call me later that day (sounds familiar). Not surprisingly, nobody called me back that day (today). The service tech told me that they don't usually repair damage from leaks, only the roof itself. I put in a request asking if they would in this case. Haven't heard anything back about that either. It makes sense that they would drag their feet on this warranty repair while my place incurs more and more damage, since they don't feel liable in any way. I hired this place because they used to have over 100 reviews and an A rating on Angie's List. I should have checked Yelp, because they have a ton of 1 star reviews there. I don't see any reason to continue my Angie's List subscription since the ratings cannot be trusted.

They went out of business. As a matter of fact, every employee left the company, they didn't finish the job and I canceled the remaining piece of the job, which was, they were going to put screens up over my gutters and all they did was clean the gutters and then the people that they had left the company. They didn't show up when they were supposed to show up, I called, nobody called me back. I called again, nobody called me back. I hounded them for almost a week and I finally got hold of somebody in their headquarters and they proceeded to tell me that they were running into challenges because their employees left the company and that they didn't know when they would be able to finish the job or if they could finish the job and I said, "I'm canceling the job and on top of that I want a refund for what you guys did because they didn't actually even finish it." The guy said, "Oh, well, I don't know about that." I just stopped payment. He hung up and I tried to call back for a week to no avail. I would not recommend them at all. All I did was, I paid for the work that they did. What I ended up doing was, when I contacted Angie's List to get it, I only got the gutter cleaning and I got the basic gutter cleaning. They charge 100 and something dollars for a small area and my house is bigger than that. So, I asked, "Okay, give me a quote for also covering the gutters so that leaves don't get in there." So they gave me a quote and they said, "Okay, we're going to charge you for what you paid for, from Angie's List and then on a separate order, we'll do the rest of the house and the covers for the gutters on a separate deal." I thought that was fine, and so I ended up only paying for just the portion that I paid for and what they did, nothing else. So, I didn't have to get a refund from Angie's List. But, I contacted Angie's List, I told them what was going on, I told them that these people were not calling me back and that I had called and canceled the quote because I accepted their bid to do the rest of the house and to cover our gutters. So I called and canceled the rest of the bid. I talked to a lady there and she said, "Oh well, it sounds like they did their job." I said, "Well, they did what I got through you guys, if that's what you mean, but not the whole thing that I hired them for." She said, "Well, that's kind of a different issue." But they were recommended on Angie's List website for doing a good job. After I hired them, I started looking around on Yelp and everywhere else and it was horrible. There was one and a half stars. One other place I went to had them as two stars and all the complaints were people did not show up, people did not do their job properly, they were dirty about it, they were not nice people. It was just horrible reviews and to have Angie actually give them a good review, I was shocked. That's why I canceled Angie's List membership, that's why I'm not renewing it, is because it was horrible. It was a bad deal.

I didn't have any leaks, and that was good when we had the last storm. The only problem I have is I didn't get a receipt on the work he did. I don't know how many he did or what areas. I know he repaired the spanish tiles over the family room but I am not sure what else he did.

They kept cancelling me. After cancelling 4 appointments, they finally came. I can't tell what work was done because I didn't get any reports or pictures so I can't comment on quality. I would use them but I would emphatically point out to make sure to come on when they are scheduled. He was only here for about an hour and about 16 tiles that were supposed to be replaced.

Roof Rx inspected our roof and determined that we needed tiles repositioned and some replaced. Angie's offer included the inspection and repositioning of tiles, but not replacement. We reached an agreed to contract stipulating identical tiles to be replaced (still available). On the day of repair, Roof Rx wanted to substitute the tiles and renege on the agreed to tiles. We are currently in dispute and this review is pending an ultimate decision of either agreeing to replace with stipulated tiles or return our money. So far I am upset with their service and as of today would not recommend since they may not honor their contract.

They were terrible, they kept rescheduling until they showed up last march. We had to call them back, the tiles on the roof didn't match, then we went on and on and on. When we got our first rain last weekend the repair fell apart. We are in touch with them again and have had issues with communication. They keep rescheduling often, we are livid. The repair was obviously done incorrectly.

I purchased the prepaid deal through Angie's List and RoofRx came out to inspect the roof but did not really examine the area in question. I spent the next month attempting to get them to come and accomplish the job with no luck, Finally I was able to get Angie's List to refund my prepurchase fee. I will never deal with RoofRx again nor pre-pay for any service again.

I needed roof inspected, it never happened. I was stupid enough to allow RoofRX many attempts to do the work. A few months ago, they had an appointment and re-schedule it. OK so I waited on the new time and they were a no show. A few days later I get a call to re-schedule, I told them to go fuc…k. there self for such lousy scheduling and no show. Well this repeated another time as another deal came by so I scheduled with them. I took the time off to work from home and the morning of appointment they called me and stated they cannot make the appointment. So they said maybe latter this afternoon they can make it. Well after a few hours I get another call stating we will not make it today. Let’s reschedule. Of course I gave them an ear full from ALL THE PAST FAILURES TO SHOW, and then told them again to go FUC…k yourself as it won’t happen again ROOFRX SUCK BIG TIME

Poorly. Well they came and first of all they send an inspector and the inspector came and he said well you need to replace some seals around some of your vent pipes. And they did that but it cost them $180 or something like that and I never did get the gutter cleaned. I think what they did is they sent me a revised cost for doing the gutters which was something like I don't remember the numbers, something like $300 and I didn't choose to do that.
