"Thank you very much [removed member name] for your generous and kind review. If the dangerous area of the back tree ever shifts or falls and you need follow up that we can safely complete, please call us and we will do this at no cost since we wanted to safely complete this already. It is good to have honest reviews like yours to offset the one false narrative that dishonest people who have neither fairness or whole truth to support their claims and uncalled for attacks on a consistently high rated business with genuine customer service. Thank you again."

Started off with this provider wanting to change the scheduled dates so they could work on another job due to weather. We accepted this as it still would fit our schedule. Then all the fun began. Mr. Otis (owner) called me as he started to remove the first tree. This company didn't start a single day before 10:30am. This wouldn't be an issue, if they could still complete their work in scheduled time, but late starts and early quitting time was a problem. The phone call from Mr. Otis was to tell me the difficulty in taking down this palm tree and that it would take longer than he expected. He also claimed he was fighting wasps. Me. Otis then wanted to renegotiate the price. I informed Mr. Otis that I will pay him for the tree he cut down to a stump and he could leave. Mr. Otis quickly said he could continue using a different method but it may take a little longer. He assured me he was a pro and this was as safe as his other methods. We agreed to have him finish the job at the price he quoted me on after viewing the job. Minimal progress was made that day getting only a few trees down and having only one scheduled day more of work. The next day Root,Branch, N all went to work Mr. Otis again let me know they were starting work. Again not before 10:30am. The very next phone call was from Mr. Otis stating that there was an accident. He dropped a tree and it and quot;rolledand quot; into my pool equipment. Mr. Otis claimed it was a small leak but a pool repair man need to get there, quickly. He had in fact completely broke pipe in half and cracked valves during this and quot;roleand quot;. Mr. Otis called me back after the pool company had not arrived after about 15 minutes stating they need to get there. At this point I knew he had drastically understated the damage. I left work and returned home. Mr. Otis continued working finishing a few more trees, but not completing the job, so he would need another day. I agreed, but made sure I was at home for the day to be around if something else happened. The pool company who came out to shut off the pool the previous day when the accident happened had returned to start the repairs on the plumbing. They were there and gone before Mr. Otis had arrived to work, again after 10:30 am. Mr. Otis was very upset about them starting work with out his approval. I told him to wait a minute until I had a moment to deal with him as the alarm company had arrived to install some equipment. As I talked to the alarm tech I over hear Mr. Otis bad mouthing me to his and quot;crewand quot; in my backyard. I quickly told him to leave my yard. After arguing he agreed to wait in his truck in the front yard. After a conversation we came to the conclusion that he needs to finish, I will pay the original price, and he will lay the pool repair bill. Mr. Otis did finish work that day. As the day ended ALL the damages became visible. I know had several broken pieces of flagstone, broken pool equipment, a pool that had more debris than the local bayou, piles of gloves and sawdust covering the yard, house, and a/c, and a heavily oil stained driveway from his equipment. After seeing and questioning if this was a common way for him to do a job. I then paid Mr. Otis IN FULL and he agreed to call me with his insurance info as soon as he returned to his office. 2 minutes after driving off he called to say he wouldn't be speaking to me again. Then his crazy came out. The following day my wife called the 2 phone numbers he lists as business numbers. She politely left a message asking for the insurance info as we need to start getting this stuff fixed. Mr. Otis then returned a call, left a message, and claimed he would have his lawyer call me, of whom I needed to look up on google since he didn't have his number or address, and would sue us if I slandered him or went to the BBB. So I immediately went to the BBB. I submitted a complaint. After he was notified I submitted a complaint he called me, leavin a message that police wanted to talk to me. I contacted the police, and they had no interest or had no idea what I was talking about. As time went on the BBB tried to help resolve the matter, but Mr. Otis was only willing to pay100-150 dollars on a 500 dollar pool fix bill. That doesn't even have the flagstone repair and driveway cleaning included. I did not agree to that amount. The BBB if I would agree to have them arbitrate the matter as their ruling is legally binding and would require him to pay the full amount. Once agreed to allow arbitration, I had to reschedule due to work. Mr. Otis then rescheduled from that date. I then agreed to his Date and time. Mr. Otis then said he would not allow arbitration. So the then was removed from the BBBs member and accreditations. His rating was then moved from an A+ to a D-. I now will be pursuing this matter in small claims court, which the BBB had volunteered to write the judge a letter on my behalf. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Save yourself the headache and time.
The work was done before the date planned as he had an opening in his schedule and contacted me to do it sooner.

I had several trees to be trimmed; many limbs were very high up. He has a commercial truck with a lift basket and was able to safely reach all branches. He climbed the ones that could not be accessed by the basket. All work was professionally done. There were 2 guys; the owner and a helper. They fed the branches into a shredder and raked my yard of any residual leaves, tiny branches, etc. So, the cleanup was exceptional and no branches had to be put on the street for garbage pickup.

I have used other tree trimmers before, but this is the first time I have used this company. I found the company on Angie's List. This is the one I will use for future work, and also refer to friends and family.
They did a fantastic job and now I have a garden where I use to have a tree. They came out on Saturday. They were late getting here. They worked really fast. They did a great job taking out the stump. They were done by noon. They cleaned up afterwards. They were fair and reasonable on price.

The owner is a chatterbox. He just talks all the time. Chat, chat, chat, chat. But he seems to do good work. He got rid of the branches. I was at work and he had to do the job. He came by to see which branches to cut and look at them and when I came home from work, they were gone. I was actually expecting him one day and he came a different day, but he's just a one man guy.

"Since I rarely work alone, this must have been a job that did not require a crew. I don't recall this job from 2 years ago. I have never had anyone express the opinion I chat all the time, in my work we are often out of breath from physical activity. He probalby did not like my being personable and friendly, I cant;t adjust anything. ..but if he was at work, now did I get to talke to him? this is not making sense, and I usually bid a job qin s gre minutes so how did he find I 'chat all the time'? Not logical. Glad he liked the job."

Very nice job. Came earlier than I expected in the week but that was alright. Accepted credit card payment which was convenient because I live about 20 miles from their office.

The tree service work is great. The only issue that I have (and the reason that I won't have him back) is that in order to get an estimate I had to listen to an endless stream of invectives about government, President Obama, and other conservative drivel that I wouldn't absolutely cannot abide. So if you are prepared to deal with that or participate in a bashing session that makes you wonder whether the great American tolerance for diversity has disappeared forever ... you will like this service.
Response from Root Branch 'N' All
"Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Perhaps if Obama had tolerance for Christians and small business, Iwould not be forced to defend my great country. I think she is the one with an agenda that had I prised Obama, she would consider that tolerant. I exercise my freedom of speech so if you can't stand truth and defending american values, don't hire a business that requires free enterprise and capitalism tha t Obama has no tolerande for. Drivel is in the ear of the interpreter. I also speak of Christ on my jobs."

We lost 40000 trees on the island, and the trees that had died were taken care of by the insurance company. My trees had dead limbs, and I was responsible for removing these dead limbs, which seemed like a good idea because they would have fallen on my house, my garage and other people’s property. They did what they said they would do, for the amount they specified. I was perfectly satisfied with them. I don’t have anything to compare their price to except the prices on Angie’s List; I would say that it was within the ballpark. He was a little lower than what the other prices were. I watched the comments on Angie’s List as the price of dealing with trees increased over the last 3 or 4 years. I think he did pretty well with that. He kind of tripped over one of our dates, which was just a misunderstanding, but we worked it out. He was punctual and professional. I feel much better now because I know that even if a storm were to come through, I wouldn’t have to worry about limbs that would break off and damage things. I would use them in the future, if necessary.

I have a small front yard and I had 4 trees which was way too many, one of them being close the the house so I was worried about the foundation. I had been referred to a tree service company by one of my co workers so I contacted them, however, they were not able to come out due to the distance involved so I asked for a referance and this is who they referred me too. Within 24 hours the owner came out and gave me an estimate, which I was pleased so I signed to proceed with work. The owner said it would be with in 2 weeks-however, it was a week later they came out and did the work. I was not home when they came out. Other than the trees missing you could not even tell trees had been cut down-they had cleaned up so well. I will use them if I ever need any other trees cut down and will definately use them to trim my trees when needed.

It looked WONDERFUL! The trees had been thinned considerable, but were not anorexic. It was great to get rid of the sago palms. They have been bothering us the entire time we have been at our house. The yard was very neat when we came home. All waste had been removed.

"As I go along, I don't see any more liberal intolerance of my speaking ab out topics other than trees. It shows it is the level of the customer and their values, not me who has the issues."

I originally called on a Saturday morning and left a message. Their answering machine said nothing about not responding over the weekend. I called again on Monday morning and finally got a call back late Monday morning. After that miscommunication and difficulty everything went well and John and his crew performed as expected.

"Ok, well most businesses are not open 7 days. I now have a message that says we are closed Sundays."

The owner responded promptly to my call for an estimate and was at my property in less than 2 hours. He gave me a copy of a full written estimate that the workers used later as reference to follow the for accuracy. An appointment was made and the workers showed up on time. The workers were polite and professional, the trees were trimmed to specification, and the property was left clean. Although they had some problems with the stump grinder, they brought all the equipment they needed to do the job, including a bucket truck and chipper. Pressured by impending storms, they didn't do a couple of extras I asked for, putting some ropes in the trees and leaving extra mulch (for later landscaping), but they were very tolerant of my requests to save the larger oak branches for firewood, even though it slowed them down.

John took my call right away and stopped by to give an estimate for cutting down two huge pine trees. His prices were very good and he explained why trees need to be trimmed to lift the limbs, which keeps them from breaking, and to stimulate growth and greenery. The tree removal was scheduled quickly and the tree men showed up on time. They unloaded their equipment and went in different directions to prepare for the tree removal. They loaded all the chippings, limbs and trees in their truck and cleaned up all the mess. They did an excellent job and left the yard in great shape.

"Here is a repeat customer who is very friendly, talks and laughs and we con't call each other 'chatterbox', sot he difference is the mind of the customer, or perhaps their attitude. She has a great one."

John returned my call quickly and came around to give an estimate to trim and cut a tree limb. His prices were very reasonable and he explained why trees need to be trimmed to keep the weight off the limbs from falling on my roof and also keeping the trees from dying. The tree work was scheduled as soon as a day was agreed on, and John's tree men were right on time. They loaded all the chippings and limbs in their truck and cleaned up all the mess. They did an excellent job and left the yard in great shape.

John quickly returned my call and came around to give an estimate for pruning and cutting down some trees. His prices were quite reasonable and he explained how the tree men would have to work carefully on the tree by the wires and also how pruning the trees stimulates the growth and greenery. The tree job was scheduled as soon as a day was available and the tree men showed up on time. They all went in different directions and got the job done. They cleaned up all the mess and left the yard in tiptop shape.
