I liked Dave from the very first time we met. When I had first contacted him his father in law Bob had just passed and he was preparing for his funeral. I guess Bob had been Dave's partner in business for many years and Dave's right hand man. Did not know how this would effect Dave's performance being that I would be his first job without Bob. His instructions in the beginning was to basically finish the basement in a rustic theme with a bath and laundry room. Starting bid was 22k. There were no exact blueprints in the beginning because of my lack of vision. Dave helped me that vision one step at a time. The ideas started coming little by little as the work was done. The basement had 2 finished bedrooms and 1 unfinished. The unfinished was dismantled to add more room in rec room. My house was a 5 bedroom, 2 bath with 3/4 unfinished basement in the beginning. Now is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath with finished basement. Total project took approx. 3 mos. During that time the basement transformed into a rustic, unique design in which, I think, both Dave and I didn't In vision. Dave was always on time and always kept me informed. Communication is a big thing with me. I give people little slack in this day and age of cell phones and texting. Dave occasionally had the help a kind and courteous staff consisting of Josh (mudding and floors), Brandon (sanding and staining ect..), and Dave's lovely wife Summer who is a master painter. Dave also retained the help from Brent (plumber) and Solomon (electrician). Brent was a professional fellow who did all the plumbing for the bathroom, laundry room and also ran the pipe and did the propane connections to the fireplace. All the custom cut wood came from Brent's property of which he has a mill. Solomon is a very kind, courteous and overall pleasant young man in which there was no challenge he wouldn't tackle. He did all the lighting and electrical to the basement, installed LED lighting in entertainment center and ceiling, rope light, electric heaters with thermostat, installed 5 ceiling fans in all of my house, installed 8 LED motion lights surrounding my house and pole barn, and installed a security camera system with 8 cameras. He even helped me get the cameras set up (thru tech support) on my computer and cell phone. He's my electrician for life. I'm sure I have left some things out that they all did but the bottom line is that I am extremely happy. I have a 1 of a kind rec room (man cave)of which I am the envy of my buddies, an awesome bathroom where the first words out of everyone's mouth is "WOW", a very clean and beautiful laundry room with tons of storage. I went over budget a little because of the extras I added but it was worth it. I have a few more things to do with this house and hope that Dave is up for the challenge. One final note. I am recently divorced and moved here with my 19 yr old son who has autism. He sometime has trouble communicating with people which translates to others feeling uneasy, uncomfortable, and sometimes distant. Dave, Solomon and the entire crew was extremely nice, professional, and courteous to my boy and actively engaged him with conversation which is exactly what he needs to boost his communication skills and confidence. My son loved them all. In the end I'd like to think that not only have I succeeded in finding the right people for all of my remodeling, electrical, and plumbing needs but also have made some friends. <br />
