Lorenzo Carson with Roto Rooter in Arizona is a professional, informed and reliable plumber. Plumbing issues are never fun, however Lorenzo makes the process easy and worry free. Would hire him for any plumbing job around the house and regularly recommend him to friends.

The technician was here in time and diagnosed the problem and gave me the option of seeking other plumbers but I decided to go with him as I wanted the problem corrected ASAP. He did a good job of cleaning out the drain and it has worked perfectly since he was here. He also applied a $50.00 company coupon to the charge which was a plus.

I use them for all plumbing. I do the one online. They just come out. I had a leak, they fixed that. It was not just moving the washer line. They had to put in a drain that goes out to the alley. It was major, the whole yard was torn up. They were prompt. They were friendly. All the time, I use them.

Provider was pretty good. Time will tell how much it helped or if we need a more detailed work up.

Response from Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
"We appreciate your feedback and thank you for your business! I noticed that you gave us a low grade on your Angie's List review, which seems to be based on price alone. I was able to locate your service invoice in our system and noticed that the actual job was performed on a Sunday, 1/25/15, with 2 techs, which incurred an additional Sunday charge and additional serviceman charge. Also, in addition to the sink line we cleared, we also augered the toilet as well. Thus, the additional line and Sunday/2 techs would explain the higher costs. However, as you would have experienced, we do provide free onsite estimates on every job and gain approval prior to starting any work. Once again, we appreciate your business! If you would like to have our Branch Manager contact you to further discuss your service call, please let us know. Sincerely, Roto-Rooter Management"

It went well, and the crew worked hard, but it could have been better. We scheduled 6am, and the crew didn't arrive till noon. Also, the $3000 repair resulted in a foot long pvc pipe banded under the house. I would have preferred a better option set a bit stronger. They insisted it was industry standard, I would have preferred a bit more from them.
For the first time since we had been in our house (10+ years) and shortly after the city of Scottsdale did some relining of their sewers, we started to notice a faint sewer smell after flushing the toilets. Short after, our drains all began draining slow. Then just 2 days later began to back up all together. Since our house was built in the 60s code did not require a ground access and ours, like many in our neighborhood, was on the roof. We quickly discovered many plumbing companies would not go on the roof but instead wanted to pull our toilets apart and go that way. Roto Rooter did charge a little more to go on the roof but it was better that the possible expense associated with the removal of the toilet. I would definitely use the Brina P from Roto Rooter again. We even received a thank you card from Branch Manager for allowing them to service. Nice touch.

They did the work as expected, but one of the gentlemen was very rude when I expressed concerns regarding the payment. Because of this, I will no longer use the company after years of business.

Everything went smoothly from start to finish . The repairman was courteous and professional. Since this happened on a holiday weekend that is why the charges were fairly high. We would definitely use them again.

We had a plugged drain and I called Roto Rooter at 7:30 a.m. to have the drain cleared. I was told a service person would arrive between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. At 11:45 a,m. I called and asked when someone would show up. Tony said it would be one and one-half hours more because they were "doubled up." At 1:30 p.m. I called and asked when the service person was going to show up and was told by Tony that Brian would show up when he could and Tony said he did not know when that would be. I told Tony it appeared I was being "blown off" and had been prevented from calling someone else who could have done the job already. Tony said Brian would be there eventually. I started to look for someone else to come out to clear the drain when Tony called and said Brian was on his way to our house. Brian did not show up until after 3:00 p.m.

When he arrived, Brian immediately said I needed to purchase a bottle of drain cleaner from him at a cost of $50. I said I would pass on that. I told Brian that the use of the washer had backed up the drain in a bathroom. Brian said it would cost over $400 just to clear the drain from the bathroom to the main drain. This is a distance of approximately 40 feet. Brian said if I wanted the main drain cleared it would be much more. He said he would root a drain from a second bathroom to the main drain for $89. The distance from the second bathrroom was only approximately 20 feet and was not clogged. In other words Brian wanted me to pay over $500. I had had the service done several times before and knew this was a completely outrageous price for the service.

It appeared Brian's attitude was that it was so late in the day by the time he arrived that if I did not agree to his price, I would be unable to use the washer, dishwasher and that bathroom until the next day. I told him I was not going to pay that amount and I would get someone else. Brian then left. However, he came back in about 20 minutes. He said he could just do the drain from the bathroom to the main drain for $205 and that was all that really needed to be done. I did not like dealing with him because of his high pressure sales tactics, but because it was late in the day and I was not sure how soon I could get someone else to come out, and because I could not afford to take another day off work to wait for someone else the next day, I reluctantly agreed to have Brian clean the drain. It took him less than one-half hour to clear the drain.

Nobody should be subjected to such shoddy treatment. Later in the week, a woman from Roto Rooter called and asked if the service call had been satisfactory. After I told her about the shoddy treatment I received, she said she would talk to a suprevisor about the poor service. I never heard anything further and I have no reason to believe the company did anything to see that such shoddy service does not happen to others.

I spent about $167 on the job. The guy cleaned two drains for free. He also gave his tool to my son and gave him a lesson. He taught my son how to use the tool. He was just the most charming man. He came out right away. He was extremely professional, charming, and pleasant. I had one drain which was not functioning and he told me exactly what needed to be done with it. There was not much that he could do to fix it. So, he looked at the other two drains and told me that there was one that he could work on. Then, he showed my son how to do the work. He looked at the third one and told me that he would charge me for one drain only. He was absolutely wonderful. I would use his services again in the future.
