It's hard to even know where to begin with the big cluster of problems Joe left me with. After discussing with him on multiple occasions that the job had to be completed in 30 days... here it is 6 months later and I had to decide to part ways with an incomplete job after 4 months of him refusing to answer calls, texts, or emails. I purchased an old home that needs a lot of work and I had to have a contractor complete a random list of projects to satisfy the appraiser. This is where Joe comes in. I told him multiple times the bid MUST include all materials and labor. The bid even clearly states labor AND materials included, however, not long after he began work he was already saying he needed More money that he didn't include the materials in the bid and I needed to provide more money. The original agreement was half up front... half after inspection when work is complete. He stopped working after about a week because he stated he was out of money. I worked with the bank to get him half of the remaining funds and I never saw or heard from him again. He never purchased any more materials and never returned To my house to finish the project. I fully believe he still owes me a refrigerator and a set of French doors, however at this point I'm just glad to be done with the whole mess! And this is just the start of the problems. As for the work... I think most of it was okay... some disappointing. I thought he was going to fix a beam in my kitchen but he didn't. He installed ceramic tile... I thought it looked fine but I was not happy to find he used my dog food storage container as a bucket to help with materials for the tile. He uninstalled my two garage doors and only replaced one leaving my garage wide open for six months. The other garage door was never replaced like it was supposed to be. He installed new front and back doors all of which looks fine. He replaced some windows again the work seems fine. Scraped peeling paint and primed the repaired spots which looks fine but I was expecting the room to be kilzed not small patches... probably a miscommunication in that aspect. Repaired some stucco looked fine again. Installed a dishwasher and stove but never purchased or installed a refrigerator as the original bid stated he would. The main problem with his work is he had the tendency to do things and make purchases without consulting with me. He purchased some interior doors without allowing for me to pick them out and I wanted a specific Type and he purchased the wrong ones and wanted me to pay for it! Overall... do not hire Joe. He clearly can't manage money and will just keep coming to you asking for more more more and if you don't provide it he will not talk to you anymore!

DO NOT hire Joseph T De Marco, owner of Round To It Services. Joe requested $3,500 upfront and another $3,025 after 40 hours of labor and then a final payment of $3,000 after the jobs were complete (total bid for the front deck was $6,250). He began work, by himself, on the April 18, 2016. After about 22 hours of labor (1 week) at our house (he worked on average 5.5 hours a day), he wanted the second installment of $3,025. We discussed what 40 hours meant, and he said part of that 40 hours was his one hour drive to my house, yet even with the drive he only worked about 26 hours. After several more days he brought a guy with him who did not even know how to screw screws into wood. He did not bring this guy back, yet brought another guy who also knew nothing about carpentry. During these couple of weeks, we ran around for him, buying things he needed...we did this to be nice (and we wanted our deck finished), not because he asked, yet when it came time to pay the second installment of $3,025, we had $700 worth of supplies and $300 cash for the license and permit, that we paid for and he did not take that into consideration. He was supposed to supply everything, via contract. After back and forth arguing, and him threatening to take everything down that he put up, we paid him the remainder of the second installment. The inspector stopped by and stated the risers need to be adjusted, and explained how we were to proceed with rail height and use of only stainless components that were visible. I wrote this down and showed Joe. Joe and this second guy worked full days, the last several days. On the final day, they worked till 11 pm using car headlights for light. He said he would come back if the inspector did not approve. The next morning we walked out and were blown away at the horrific job. The rails weren't completely screwed in and not at the code heights, the spindles were not attached on the bottom, the spindles were various lengths. When the inspector came, a day later, on May 11th, he emailed a report to Joe and myself...there were many issues. In addition to what the inspector noticed, our risers were falling apart due to boards being taken off and reapplied several times, the wood is split in many areas, there are several areas with multiple drill holes through posts, one of the risers was cut 1/8" from the edge, about a foot long and 6 inches deep, with a hacksaw... I could go on and on. Joe has not contacted us at all, and at this point it has been two weeks. We had another company look at the "mess" and it will cost us $2,200, to get it fixed. All 10 risers, step treads, and face plate need to be torn down and redone. So now our front steps are costing us close to $10,000...WOW, I could have had an elevator installed. I made Joe go get a city permit and license...Joe kept telling my husband that I told him not to...really?...if someone tells you not to get a driving license do you drive without one? If you own a business and someone tells you you not to get a business license, do you? Further we gave him $300 cash to purchase the permit , license and money for his time. Again, DO NOT HIRE JOE DE MARCO!!!

I am very pleased with him. He is great. I am very pleased. He works us in because he is busy. He had to fix the drywall, mud and something else. He is ready to paint. I am just waiting for him to call us back on that. I told him because he is real nice to us. We are elderly. I told him if you have a big paying job, go ahead and take it. Just to come back and do the painting when you can. He just went beyond. We had him do other things too. He had to dig a drainage system. We kept having mold. He was trying to fix that. We had to that first so we would not get anymore mold. He cleans everything around and puts stuff up. I appreciated that. We had been taken and I mean taken by two previous workers here. He had to even take like the wall, he said they did not do this right because it had only six studs or whatever it was and there should be eight. He said that is why so much moisture was getting behind that. The price was comparable. Joe DeMarco is the one that I use. He put windows frames around our windows that this other guy that was supposed to do and stole so much from us. When you walk into the room, how is looks at the top, then my son came in. He saw the mud or whatever you call it. my son said oh my can you tell a difference in the work. It is neat and looked professional. What I appreciated about Joe so much is that I explained to him that I am hearing impaired and he has to turn to me when he is talking. He does it and he is so patient. He is very patient with the elderly. I appreciate that.

Mr. De Marco and his team began right on time and completed the project on time, despite learning that the deck support pieces were rotten upon pulling up the old decking. They had to fit in replacing the support structure completely and worked tirelessly and long hours to get it done - not just to finish on time for us but to also be able to keep their word to the next client to begin their project. The finished screened porch is more lovely, cool and shady (and bug free!) than we dreamed possible. Mr. De Marco came back as needed to tweak a few small items because he wants it to be just right and takes immeasurable (and well justified) pride in his work. He was flexible and patient as we asked questions or made adjustments.

Awesome. Joe and his team are wonderful to work with. I've never seen contractors so dedicated to getting things right, ensuring your satisfaction and giving 100% every day. Joe's team showed up on time (a few minutes early) every day for a week. They worked extremely hard at least 8 hours every day, were meticulous with their work and went above and beyond. We found a lot of issues under our vinyl, windows with no backer board, missing tyvek in a lot of places, no caulk around windows, we had mold, rotten and very wet boards (headers, plywood etc.), mold going to the drywall in spots and all sorts of issues. The guys replaced and repaired every issue and only went a day and a half over schedule considering all of the additional repairs they discovered and had to account for. Joe's pricing is great for the service they provide, his guys are wonderful, experienced and trustworthy, as is Joe.

Did not come prepared with materials for the job. Did not clean up well.

"I remember this project, even though it was over 9 months ago. It was a 2 hour, $99 handymen special which was completed on time. I arrived to job with all tools needed to complete work. The issue was a damaged cabinet bottom under kitchen sink. The "materials" needed to repair job were supplied by you the customer. I had to pull the plywood out of attic over garage which in turn required disconnecting the attic stairs to bring down a large enough piece of wood. All demoed materials were hauled off or disposed of in on-site garbage cans. You, as the customer, were completely satisfied when we settled up and parted company. If there was any dissatisfaction you could have called right away and I would have come back if necessary. The only mess left may have been some sawdust left in grass. Otherwise the kitchen, garage and entryway were all swept and picked up before I left. This job was performed at 8-10am. I remember it completely. The only materials not brought to job site was the plywood which you told me was in attic above garage. Again, if anyone has any dissatisfaction with any of my company's work results all that is needed is a phone call and we will be back right away to bring customer satisfaction up to appropriate levels. Why wait 9 months to write a bad review?"

"I apologize for any dissatisfaction with our services. I would have hoped to hear about any difficulties sooner, rather than almost 5 months after completion of project, so I may have had an opportunity to fix whatever you feel was not up to snuff. Regardless, please feel free to contact us and we will do whatever we can to make you satisfied Thank you for bringing any dissatisfaction to our attention."

so far so good Joe is extremely knowledgeable, professional, courteous; and is a 'can-do!' contractor. He arrived on site as planned and immediately got to work to assess and initiate repairs. At the time of this writing, we have more to go; but have already planned dates and times for completion of project. I am very happy that he is on the job- completely reliable and excellent work. Highly recommend.

Super nice guy but we weren't just super pleased. I wouldn't use him again. I think he tried but he's not just real organized with the whole thing. He just wasn't professional enough for us. I don't remember what we had to pay him. We were selling that house. I didn't dislike the guy. I don't remember having any problem with the price. He was fine with responsiveness. He was on time.

"First of all please allow me to apologize if you were not pleased with the quality of work. I am curious as to why this review is coming over 5 months from when I performed these services for you. If I had known sooner I would have been happy to bring project up to your satisfaction. However, even so so much time has passed I will be happy to offer my services on any project you may have coming up. Please contact me at your convenience if you would like to discuss a new project or some type of compensation for previously performed services. Again, my apologies. I am not in the habit of performing poorly for my clients. Thank you for this review."

Mr. DeMarco was extremely polite and professional. He explained everything in detail. I am hearing impaired and he was so patient in making sure I understood. He went the extra mile... removed a dead tree, cleaned out brush all along side of drainage ditch and took down a rotted ramp in front. My husband wanted a handrail and he even cleared brush and put bricks and flat concrete blocks so we could stand on "footing" close to the porch instead of standing in mud when it rains. We could not have been more pleased. It is rare to find professionalism plus a caring heart these days...a senior citizens dream!!!

Mr. De Marco was very prompt and professional. He was very clear on what to expect and how long it would take. The first day they had to tape and mud the areas, then they returned the next day to sand and texture the areas. Because of his schedule, he was not able to come back and paint until a week later. The only thing I would of requested is they cover the items in the garage when they sanded; the sanding left dust over everything in the garage. Besides that everything went well and I was pleased with their work.
