(12/2020) Provider installed water heater 12/2016. Cold line connect is now excessively corroded as compared to hot line with minimal corrosion. Alternate plumber unable to adjust or make contact with connection without permanent, irreparable damage. The leaking line has corroded into and damaged surface of 4 y/o water heater unit beyond repair. Plumbing supervisor repeatedly claims this is 'normal' wear and tear (dry basement/new home construction) and repeats he warrants his install work a maximum 2 yr. Remedy suggested: purchase brand new water heater and pay in full for contractor to install new unit. Unacceptable.

There are 2 parts to this unpleasant experience. In late April our water heater simply stopped heating. RT Moore had installed in in July 2013. They said it was under warranty (6 year). However, after coming in, telling me it needed a new heating element and replacing it, I was told the warranty had run out 3 days earlier and I was charged $270. This week (6 weeks later) the water heater again stopped heating and is now leaking. My husband was told again that the water heater was under warranty until July. There would be a $500 service fee to replace the water heater, but no charge for the water heater. I questioned that and we called again receiving a vague response this time and were told it would depend on when the manufacturer counted the time of the warranty, which MIGHT NOT BE the time of installation. We cancelled the appointment with them and found another professional, who checked and returned our call in 5 minutes after calling the maker of the water heater with the serial number. He received a definitive answer that the warranty they covered ended in May. And the person he spoke with was confused because they had just told someone else an hour earlier the same thing. about that same unit. Based on that information, it was in warranty when we paid for the repair in April. And it seems we were being encouraged to book with them because of a warranty they knew was not valid any longer. We are so disappointed and angry. We have used RT Moore for years and have noticed a change in the both the quality of the service people and in inaccurate information in recent years. My husband requested a manager call him today. He did not hear from them. The water heater has been replaced, but not by R.T. Moore.

The rep, Ty, was courteous and promptly evaluated and replaced unit to resolve out problem. The office agent,Laura, was very responsive and squeezed us into the schedule because our quick need. C.J., the service mgr, has always been helpful on selection of which product and other questions I had.

RT Moore is the construction plumbing company that installed the plumbing in our house that is only 3 years old. My wife says they get a big fat "F". They did all the piping installation, after 9 months, we had a plumbing problem. The water line was backing up and plugged from our master bathroom out to the plumbing system going out. They came and rotted out the whole thing and came to the conclusion that it was inconclusive. While we were still under warranty. The gentleman that came out was actually one of the men that did the initial work because he remembered the house and working here. He said it was inconclusive why it was plugged up and after 3 or 4 days they got in touch with us that we owed them $200 some odd dollars for the service call that was under warranty. See with the warranty if they can prove the problem was with their work, but since there was no scope work done and they don't do any scope work, so we don't know what the plumbing problem was. They will not be coming here to do anymore plumbing work for me, since everything is out of the warranty. Matter of fact I won't be doing any business with any of the companies the builder used. For the price, first of all I shouldn't have had to pay anything but I didn't want to be argumentative or have a bill collector sending me notices and it ruins my credit score. So I just paid it. I was told by the rep, it's inconclusive and it may not cost you anything. Then 3 days later I get a call that it's $200 some odd dollars for the service call. The price is probably what they would charge anyone for that service. For quality he couldn't really tell me what was wrong. They installed all the piping including the gas piping. After we moved in the cap on the furnace line was leaking and we had to call the gas company about the leak. That was very dangerous. They also did a sloppy job cutting the lines for the gas line, there was a lot of oil in the lines. My thought of RT Moore, I would never hire them for any job or service. When we made the appointment they came out and they were on time. They were on time, they give you a 4-5 hour window. I would not recommend them. Everyone has their own opinion, but my opinion on a company that does shoddy work.

They are the ones that got the business. They did two toilets, a sump pump something that required in the family shower that required something special. I do not remember it all. They were nice guys. Their work was good. They did what they said they would do. The price was comparable with one of the other ones. I just do not have anything negative to say about them.

They also have a heating and cooling and it is just $5 more than the previous company that I used. They came out when I had a problem with my kitchen sink again it was lime deposit. The kids remembered me from my daughter's house. He said I really did not do much but in my opinion, he did. He was great and only charged me $49. They were a good company and professional. They did what they said they would do.

They sent one worker. It took less than an hour. The same gentleman that does are seasonal service heard that something had broken, he changed his schedule to come and fix it. They keep a record of our equipment, our equipment is old they don't try to get us to buy newer equipment. They actually told me to become a member of Angie's List because they only offer specials through Angie's List. They left the area completely clean. I had a very positive first impression

We have a finished lower level and there's a bathroom down there. So there's a sump for waste and there has to be a pump to get that up to be able to be taken out to the raw sanitary system. We had to have that replaced. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> It was a nasty job and he did a really good job.

We are on a service agreement with them. We are not the original owners of our home. We purchased the home in October of 2013. In March of that year, the previous owner installed an entirely new HVAC system, about $20,000 worth. There are 2 heat pumps and 2 furnaces. It's a hybrid system, so it will either run on electric or gas, depending on exterior temperatures. RT Moore was the installer. While we were not required to go with them on servicing, they are familiar with the system. They are the installers and it's a Carrier brand. So we are inclined to go forward with them and we are on a service agreement. We've had them since we moved here almost 3 years to the day. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Our agreement is they do a twice a year inspection and cleaning and everything. In the fall it focuses on the heating. Then we'll have them in May. I haven't scheduled the service yet but usually within a week or so of the call, they'll be here. That one will focus on the cooling. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> We've been very pleased with their punctuality, professionalism and the quality of the work.

Does a good job. <br /> They do what they said that they gonna do and they come out when they said they gonna come out. I called other people in the past and RT More was more able to do it.

Original estimate was $860. When plumber arrived he said it would actually be cheaper because he didn't originally have the company's updated pricing list on the pumps. Ultimate cost was $690. Even though I had already agreed to pay the higher price I was given the lower price. Unbelievable honestly and professionalism. They likely have a customer for life.

I discovered that my last fall maintenance company had not done a very complete job in that one panel of my furnace had never been removed! RT Moore serviceman not only did the service, but also educated me about what to watch for in the future. Great job. <br />
