RTS Paving & Sealcoating

Went well.

The guys were all extremely professional and my parents driveway was done in a timely manner. My parents are in love with the look of their new driveway!

I hired this company after having 2 tree limbs fall in my driveway, although Richard seemed like a very nice man I am not over joyed by the work he did at my home. I was quoted a price of 1,850 to take away the limbs that had fallen and to trim down the remaining trees on the property. Although I know better than to pay for a service before it is finished I made the mistake of giving him the check. Needless to say the work this company had promised to do was not completed. I have attached 2 after photos so you can be the judge and decide if you want the work you need done to be done by this company. Buyer beware! They need to stick with asphalt!

Hired RTS paving to redo my cracked up driveway. Called for a quote, they came out same day and started preparing everything to my liking. Then next day they came in and blacktopped. Everything was done in a timely manner and very neat. Everything with this company is straight forward with no hidden “fees” would highly recommend!

Had driveway installed by Rts paving. Seemed nice. Work was totally sub par some spots are thick and some are only 1/2 inch thick. Weeds were poping through after just 1 week this is how I knew it was so thin. We were guaranteed at least 2 inches all around by the contract we signed. Called twice sent letters but got no response. Do not use this company!

I chose RTS Paving because they got good reviews on Angie's List. I contacted RTS through the link on Angie's List. Richard, the owner of RTS paving, responded with a phone call the following morning and he gave me an estimate of $650.00 the next day. I was impressed with how quickly he called and did the estimate. He did the job the following day. I am very disappointed with the job he did. I was there when he started the job. He used asphalt out of 50lb. plastic bags that I could have bought for $12.00 each at Home Depot. I needed to leave for work soon after he split the bags open and shovelled it into the holes. He had no equipment there, just a pickup truck. When I got home from work I found that he didn't even bother to smooth the surface out much less run a roller over it. I was able to smooth the surfaces out with a flat shovel because it was still soft. The quality of his work was amateur at best. I definitely could have done a better job. RTS gets good reviews on Angie’s List but he certainly did an awful job for me. Richard had me write the check to him personally, Richard Stanley, instead of the paving service. He was real quick to cash the check too. I'm sure he figured that I'd put a stop payment on it when I saw the lousy job he did. He did an awful job for me and as a so called professional he knows it, I am sure of that. He also seal coated the driveway, he did a nice job on that. I usually don't post bad reviews for jobs I've had done but I felt I had to so others would be warned not to use RTS Paving. I wish I would have used a reputable contractor and had the job done right. I've posted one before and 3 after pictures. I really think the cracked surface should have been excavated and filled too. I followed Richard's recommendation as to what should be done.

I did not feel that he explained the patch well. While doing my job his equipment broke and his brother came to finish and do the patch. I called him and asked him to come and look at the patch to confirm that the patch was done as he would have done, but he never came to talk it over. If it was done as he would have done it, then he did not clearly explain what was going to be done, because if I had understood I would not have had the patch done.

Great! Called for estimate and he was here in an hour. The work was completed within two days. He gave a financial break on work because our neighbor also had his driveway paved. Very knowledgeable and courteous. He payed attention to the details that we asked for. Would highly recommend him again.

I'm compelled to share this experience. I can not recommend - unprofessional and low quality. The details discussed for the job changed from initial visit for estimate to what they wanted to accomplish. This crew was 2 1/2 hrs late and anxious to get paid. The driveway wasn't prepped as discussed and not cut in on the edges. As a result I have bald or unsealed areas where they sprayed right over dirt and debris, including their cigarette butts. I pointed some of this out. Both Richard and Dillion were clear I was not happy with their job.

We have an upper and lower driveway, and water problems. They did an excellent job with both driveways, and professionally directed the water flow away from flowerbeds and outside steps. They did many little areas by hand to finish the job perfectly. We will have them back to sealcoat the drive. Great job!

Richard did a great job sealcoating our driveway. The work was neatly done with excellent attention to detail. He is very courteous and and the cost to do the work was lower than expected.

I am very happy with RTS Paving and Seal Coating. Our drive way is almost 40 years old but in good condition. Rich came out to get it patched and on a seal coating schedule to keep it maintained and conditioned. Thinks I liked about Rich and RTS: value, prompt response, thorough work, and oil based seal.

Richard called back within minutes of my message and he came out the same day for a free estimate. He was very polite. I was getting three quotes and they were the first. After I did my due diligence in getting the quotes and negotiating prices, I decided to hire Richard. The job took one and a half days. They showed up when they said they were going to and did what they said they were going to do. The driveway had two layers of asphalt that they had to remove. Using what looked like a mini bull dozer, they broke up the old driveway and took all of it away. They then brought the dump truck full of stones and re-graded the area using two machines and two men with heavy rakes. One was some sort of paving machine and the other was a mini steam roller. Then they left and came back with hot asphalt, a mixture that they told me was 600 degrees Fahrenheit. They used the paving machine and the mini steam roller to spread and even out the mixture, along with the two men with heavy rakes. I was very impressed with their work and their work ethic, as this is very difficult and hard work. I would definitely hire them again.

Richard was professional and we were pleased to have the work done quickly.

RTS responded to my request for a quote on Monday ... driveway paved on Friday. Looks great ... adds to my curb appeal ... I am very satisfied.

Awesome, they were the first people to take my call. They came the next day and adjusted their time to fit my time. The gave me an excellent price and sealed the driveway within a couple hours. Im very impressed!!!! Every time I need anything done to my driveway in the future they will be my first call. I will tell all my family and friends about this wonderful company for their future needs :)

These gentleman were prompt, professional and worked within our budget. It was quick and went very well. They have done many of our neighbor's driveway and everyone is very pleased.

Everything has been wonderful and I've even referred them to some friends. The owner has also called to make sure we're still satisfied with the work.

It was really good. It's been several months and it's holding up perfectly.
