I had insurance for the water line but the company's provider was unresponsive. I finally had to take matters into my own hands as the leak was going on for almost 3 weeks. Rupcoe came immediately, coordinated the heavy equipment needed and performed the repair in one day. The plumber was top notch. I am totally satisfied with Rupcoe and will always use them for my plumbing needs. They are the best.

Howard was courteous and professional. He and Moe arrived on time, were very careful about protecting my carpet with tarps and completed the job quickly and efficiently. I would definitely use Rupcoe again and recommend them to friends and neighbors.

When it broke down Tom, Jim, and Mo had our old furnace out and the new one installed and running within 24 hours of signing the contract. They are a pleasure to work with and explained everything that was being done and why. I will be calling them for any future needs, and would recommend them in the future.

They removed the old water heater, and installed a new tankless water heater. While they were putting the new water heater in they found a leak. They let me know where the leak was. I used someone else for that. The workers were pleasant and professional.

TL;DR: Rupcoe helped me resolve an HVAC dispute with my condo community.
A previous installer had upgraded my system to an energy efficient model without getting venting line approval with my condo board. As a result I was forced to change how my furnace and water heater vented outside my unit. The HVAC also failed township inspection for several code issues. After the original contractor refused to remedy the issues I called Rupcoe.
Howard from Rupcoe evaluated my system and made recommendations to correct the issue. Their office went the extra mile to help me get the required info to my condo board. They also contacted Hillsborough township and helped me determine what would be required to pass inspection. The modification went faster than they said it would and it was clear they were focused on helping me and saving me money. When it turned out the installation was not as difficult as expected, they refunded me 500 dollars.
I had a high level of stress approaching this issue due to my previous bad experience. Steve from the office spoke to me on many, many occasions and helped me stay in the loop at all times which made me feel confident. Despite the complicated nature of the problem and the overall unusual situation this company provided excellent service at a professional level.
This past year I spoke with 5 separate HVAC companies. Rupcoe is by far the most professional, honest, and competent. I recommend them.
I called Gail on Saturday and set-up scheduling for today 5/6/15 between 9AM-1PM around 11:30 my husband received a call that they were running late and my husband advised them that he had to leave for work by 2PM and they said they would be there by that time (the techs knew my husbands situation with specific scheduling needs) I called and spoke with Steve the manager around 1:30PM to explain how important it was for the techs to arrive before my husband had to leave for work and Steve made an implication that "we were not the only ones" his words were "We have had emergencies today"and I told Steve that the techs could have called me to reschedule so my husband would not have had to wait up for them to arrive and could have slept instead of waiting to get my tenants faucet fixed, we would have completely understood having to reschedule. The tech wanted $600 to put in a new faucet or to do a repair instead of replacement on the faucet was roughly $400 (when he wasn't even sure if this was the problem) I called to discuss the pricing with Steve that my husband advised me of to tell him this price was absolutely Ludacris and they said they would take $100 off and I still said this price is absurd. I am very disappointed with the company and I will not pay a service call fee to a company that cost my husband a nights worth of work and ended up having to put the faucet in himself.

"Dear (removed member name): You couldn't speak to Gail -as she does not work Saturdays. The appointment was scheduled between 9-1. For a kitchen faucet with low pressure. I did call and speak to your husband at 1130am and yourself at 130pm - to advise that we are running late, I apologize that a flooded basement or water pouring through someone's ceiling took priority and we ran late on you. However, this was a rental property which you failed to mention and the tenant was home most of the day, so it wasn't as urgent as you make it seem. The Price quoted for the repair was $359 and the technician took $100 off the top due to the delay, as per instructions he received before arriving at your rental property. Also, the dispatch fee that was refused was $59.95. Please remember that we are here to help you, we are an emergency service company and help Homeowners with emergencies as well as some non urgent or critical repairs such as yours. Furthermore I don't feel that it is fair of you to use Angie's List as a tool to negotiate price or service. and threaten us with a bad review every time there is something you don't agree with. Sincerely Steven Shapteban"

We didn't expect the price to be this high but I am not going to complain. The technicians did a good job on this visit and were very nice while they were here.

Response from RupCoe Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning
"Dear Angie’s List user: This review is completely not factual and misleading. I will happily provide more facts as to this situation for your read. Lets look at the facts: - [Member name removed] called RupCoe at 19:35 on 4/3/15 for a Plumbing emergency. A valve after the meter was leaking all over the basement. - He called several Plumbing companies that evening, yet we were the only ones that answered the phone live, and sent a technician out right away. - Technician was dispatched by 8:00pm. - Arrived at the home at 8:30pm. - And left the home at 9:45pm. We furnished and installed a ¾” meter valve and reconnected the meter. The water company was called by the customer to shut off the water to the home. The technician from the water company, who is the root of this problem, went on to tell our technician and the customer that the price was too high. This man was neither aware of all the charges nor was he in any way qualified to even comment. It is a situation that is being investigated by the customer service manager at the water company and is grounds for immediate termination on their end. [Member name removed] proceeded to sign the invoice in 2 placed to authorize the work, and one more signature once the work was completed to his satisfaction, and paid the bill with a CC on the spot. After the technician left, [Member name removed] called our answering service and complained about the price. He was told by the agent that an email to the customer service manager was sent, and someone will be in touch with him first thing Monday am. I spoke with [Member name removed] at 9am Monday 4/6/15 at which point he explained to me that the water company technician said this and that. I explained to him that the charges were not all for the valve. It was $557 for the valve (after a $50 coupon our technician provided) and $129.95 after hours dispatch fee + tax. He explained to me that the water company technician made him doubt himself and what he paid. After some explanation of our pricing and services performed, I asked [Member name removed] if everything was satisfactory and this is resolved. He replied “Yes, Thank You”. Some days later, without as much as a phone call to our office, this review is posted. It is a clear case of buyer’s remorse. And if another plumber told him after the fact that they would do it cheaper, does not give him the right to slander us all over the internet. I spoke with [Member name removed] again after reading the review. Wanted to know what else I can do to resolve this situation. Unfortunately I can not do so when the customer is being unreasonable and wants me to match the price of the 1 truck plumber or the water company technician moon lighting. Thank You for taking the time to read my response. Steven Shapteban"

The server providers fixed the broken valve to the pipe and replaced the broken pipes. They had to remove the kitchen cabinets to get to the broken pipe in below freezing weather and re-install the kitchen cabinets. They also had to fix and re-insulate the new remodled bathroom from the water damage that another service provider did the work on the remodled of the bathroom. I did not get off of Angie's List.
RupCoe Plumbing Heating and Aircondition did an awesome job in fixing, repairing and re-installing all work involed to fix the broke water pipe. I highly recommend them to anyone. They were professional, prompt and kept me well informed.

Promised appointment was between 12pm and 4pm.
Plumber did not come until 8:30pm
1st attempt at removing the clog was unsuccessful, in part because he didn't bring a snake that was long enough.
2nd attempt was on Monday. They were able to remove the clog after much effort, so I give an A to the plumber for effort.
However not being prepared with a longer snake downgraded the service, and the actual arrival time in the first attempt was unacceptable.
