R&W Paving

After getting several estimates to either recover or remove & repave my driveway, I hired R&W mainly because the estimator (Mike) spent more time looking at the job and explaining the pro's & con's of each. I went with the full remove & replace that he recommended. The job was done in stages by three different crews, I was notified when they would be here and each showed up as scheduled, worked together like a well oiled machine, were friendly and answered any questiones I had along the way. The main driveway is sloped for proper water drainage & looks great, as well as the stone driveway that is a huge relief to have it upgraded because of its wet location. D. Ciccone

From the person that came to the house to give the estimate, to the crews that did the paving, all were very professional and did an excellent job. The office called us back whenever we left a message and kept us informed throughout each step of the process. The crews were very polite and professional, and answered all our questions. They did exactly what was stated in the contract. Our driveway looks great. All our neighbors have commented on how nice it looks. I would absolutely recommend R & W Paving to neighbors and friends looking to have their driveway replaced.

Very well. They helped with good advice on the best configuration for the driveway. They removed some small trees, graded the area perfectly, and provided a 6" to 8" layer of stone for drainage, followed by a 2-1/2" asphalt layer. Prompt and professional

R&W kept to their timeline. They managed traffic on my busy street. Professional job by all accounts.

Kevin and the guys from R&W Paving did a great job on my driveway. So far, so good. It's still less than a week since it was installed, but it looks fantastic. The crew dug out my old driveway in mid-June, then placed new gravel and had us drive on it for more than 4 weeks. I got a call two days in advance of when they wanted to come to place the asphalt (2.5 inches deep, rolled) so I could make sure the driveway was cleared off and that I had alternate parking arrangements. All calls go through an answering service, so there is a wait to get a call back. But they were responsive to my calls. All in all, nice job. Price was fair for the work to be done and size of driveway.

<p>I first searched Angie's List and read several reviews of driveway companies to determine the 'top 3'.  I quickly heard back from both R&W and B&M to setup a date for an estimate.  Magic Seal didn't even return my call for over 4 weeks so apparently they had enough business and helped me narrow down to 2 choices.  Both estimates were very close in $ terms, but I felt more comfortable with the way Kevin described the work, and they had a longer warranty of 3 years.</p> <p>The details...</p> <p>9/30/14  Kevin came to my house, explained their process, asked about my concerns and then took some measurements.  My old driveway had deep ruts from my truck so that was a concern and I also had a large puddle at end of my old driveway which I wanted to avoid.  Kevin explained they like to tear out the old driveway, install and compact crushed stone and drive on it for a couple weeks to make sure it's fully settled before applying asphalt.  He also described how he'd build up towards the end of my driveway to prevent the large rain puddles.  I also wanted my front cement pad trimmed flush and extend the driveway about a foot.  Kevin was patient and described the quality of their work.</p> <p>4/21/15  It was getting too late in the season and I didn't want to chance winter came too soon so I held off until Spring for the old driveway to be dug up and install and compact the crushed stone.  I left work to check in on the progress and by the time I got home, they were almost done.</p> <p>5/11/15  Driveway was checked for grade, compacted and asphalt applied.  I left work to check on progress and they were just finishing by the time I arrived home.  They worked fast but efficient and the driveway looked great, my dad and I were impressed!  I followed their instructions and didn't drive on it for over a week.  Now, 6 months later it still looks great.  There are no depressions from my truck, and I love not having a huge puddle at the end of the driveway.</p> <p>Yes, I waited a while to write a review but this was my first time using Angie's List and it was a good experience.  The quality of the their work will mean I won't be replacing it again for many, many years so until then, I'd recommend R&W to anyone who needs a new driveway!</p> <br />

<p>They did an outstanding job.  Even though the work was done in 2007 I was so impressed I felt they deserved a review.  I was not a member of Angie's List back then and am not sure there was an Angie's List then so this is belated but merited.  They were punctual, neat, professional and able to figure out some challenging architectural obstacles.  The driveway still looks great eight years down the road.  One of the workers placed a piece of equipment on the newly finished driveway that made a round depression in the surface.  I called the office and they were back the next morning to make the repair and it was so well done you would never know it happened.  Things can always go wrong and for me the real test is how the company responds when something does go wrong. </p> <p>This company installed a new driveway for me back in the 1970's at my old home and I was so pleased with them that I sought them out in 2007.  That is a long time and  I wasn't sure they would still be as good but they absolutely were. </p> <p>Over the past 40 years as a homeowner I have had many sad, infuriating and frustrating experiences with contractors and when I find one that leaves me feeling happy I need to tell about it.  Thanks R&W. <br /> <br /></p> <p><br /></p> <br />

Excellent! They came out to give estimate, gave me a time frame, told me about a coupon for new customers, came just as scheduled. They were courteous on site and in office. And best of all they did a wonderful job for a reasonable price!!! Highly recommend this company I've already gave a friend the number!!
