Johnny Cipressi, the owner of Harmony Hardwoods, is a true pro and craftsman. About half my 2,000 square foot ranch house was solid red oak and the other half was carpet. Harmony Hardwoods replaced the carpet with matching hardwood and refinished the existing hardwood. The installation ran into a variety of unforseeable hurdles created by the original wood installation. Johnny navigated these with grace, skill and artistry. These hurdles of course effected the schedule but he persevered through the Christmas holidays and finished as rapidly as possible. He was very reliable. The price reflected his skill and professionalism. I recommend him highly.

Actually we did not do the refinishing at this time as Johnny showed us the cause of the problem and he spent a great deal of time and effort showing us how to avoid it recurring in the future. He fully inspected the whole floor and said the floor did not need refinishing yet and indeed after he finished cleaning, treating and polishing, etc. it looked as good as new. He refused any payment and said that his reputation was more important. We had been prepared to refinish the whole floor but his honesty and dedication saved us a lot of money. Obviously we would highly recommend him!

The were several pieces of the wood flooring that needed replacement. The original wood was atypical of most wood floors, but Johnny sourced a suitable replacement and brought the job in on time and within the budget.

Johnny did beautiful work but was a little on the firm side in regard to how the floors were to be treated and cared for down the road. An analogy would be a great Doctor with limited bedside manner.

Please don't be put off by the 4.5 work quality. Many places on my floors were in horrible condition with both convex and concave boards, and Johnny had to sand them to within a inch of their life, and then make them match the better, less sanded areas. As a home remodeler, I respect that this is a super difficult task, and Johnny did it quite well. There were some spots of incomplete adhesion of the final finish due to the product, and he came back immediately to fix them. He is a hard worker and has a great attitude. Overall, I have gotten many compliments on the floors and plan on having Johnny do the floors in an adjacent apartment soon!

He refinished and repaired an existing floor. He then installed new floor to match. You can't tell.

My worn down floor was so bad i thought I would have to replace it. now...it looks brand new and very healthy!!! Job neatly done, quickly, and the workers were very polite and cooperative.

Johnny gave me very honest advice, saved me a lot of money and gave me exactly what I wanted. I purchased a tiny craftsman bungalow and found the original douglas fir floors under the laminate the previous owner had put down. They had been sanded to the point where there was not much left to sand. Johnny told me what I could realistically expect and did a great job with what he had to work with. He stuck within the time frame he estimated, as well. I am so happy with my floors and would absolutely use him again.
