Danny was very careful to understand our ask. He was patient and a good listener. The job took five days and three guys. The workers were efficient, polite and hard working. We are happy with the result.

We had a couple of bumps in the road so I was not too happy with it for the kind of money I spent. There is still stuff that needs to be fixed and that was a project back in May, so put it that way. They came in and I spent about $12,000 on a patio. They were not prepared. What was supposed to be a two or three day job, it took them literally three weeks. I think he took on too many jobs and was stretched thin with his workers. It is established and is a family-run landscaping business that has been around for years. I know they are busy, but they were not prepared when ordering the products. He thought his local distributors had the products, but they did not so he did not even have it done by Memorial Day so I had to cancel my party. We had probably a half dozen setbacks. A pallet was delivered that was the wrong materials, that's why the steps look weird. There were a lot of problems with his distributors. A number of times I saw things that did not look right to the untrained eye so I would tell him about it and he would talk to his crew. He seemed like he knew what he was doing, but he was not there enough. I had lights put on the patio. He replaced the timer put on there. We're talking about elementary timers and I can't figure it out. Three days later the timer does not work again. I have called numerous times for him to come back and finish the work, but he has not come back. He was very professional. They could have been a little more responsive. Once the project was done and the payments were made he could have come back and dealt with the issues. The lights added on about $2,000. I still don't have lights that don't work.

"[Member Name Removed], We apologize for your experience however we feel we were very responsive to any issues that occurred. We explained the product you ordered was very popular and the distributor ran short of supply, this is something we could not help. We try to meet every customer’s timeframe however when working outdoors there are several factor that we can not control. After the timers we installed and you tried to set them to your liking we received your call that they were not working, that issue was fixed. Then again in November after you tried adjusting the timers again we received your call and responded as soon as we could (being it was the winter season). A few months ago the timer was looked at by our manager and he discovered it was in the off position. I appreciate your time to write this review however we feel that we communicated with you efficiently about any issues and feel this review is an inaccurate representation of our company. Again, we are sorry about your experience; we always hope for things to run as smoothly as possible at each and every job. We look forward to any business we may have with you in the future. Thank you."

Initially messaged them from their website and got a very quick response and Dan came and gave an estimate for me. He emailed me the night before they were going to come since I told them it didn't matter to me if I was home or not. Three guys showed up around 9am and got to work immediately and were finished by 11. The yard looks 10x better now thanks to them. I am also going to be using Sabba's again in September to grade and seed a portion of my backyard. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Excellent job. $50 fee for removal of leaves from property but we felt it was worth it. Everything done so well that I don't usually need much of a spring clean up. I call them as needed.

In the past, they did 3 separate large bed plantings for me with shrubs, plants, rock and mulch; designed by them with input from us. Danny had good ideas, sent photos of how it would look with pricing. We asked to change a few things and he was very responsive. They always get back to you in a timely fashion. Original plantings were nearly 3 years ago and things have held up well and we were very pleased with work. I then had another set of plantings done the following year.

After calling out 5 or so other landscaping companies that never got back to us or wanted $23,000 I firmly believe Sabba's is the best company for landscaping, Danny the owner was HIGHLY professional, very timely, knowledgeable, and really listens to what you want but is not afraid to suggest ideas when you asked for them. He gave me an estimate right there on the spot, and even gave me an idea of when he could do the work and when it would be completed by. Then he e-mailed it to me right then and there. He beat other fencing companies by quite a bit and even beat the cheapest we had found by over $100.
The day the men came to work, he was there to answer any questions and answer any and all our concerns we might have had. The men working were very respectful, didn't make a mess, were very professional, and worked like dogs, for the whole day. They showed up on time everyday, and got right to work. The back patio was first, they quickly discovered it was one patio on top of another older one, and didn't charge us any more money to remove it. The back patio looked great, but when we were concerned about the drop from the back door and asked if they could put in a step they said yes and asked how we wanted it, even down to the last detail of which block to use, and when I asked about the shape of some of the cut pieces with concern they fixed it with no problem, where as other people might of told me that's just the way it is. They even leveled part of my lawn around the patio and some that they weren't even near, and seeded it so it wasn't just dirt then mud.
The beds were taken down in a couple of hours and then the fence that had 100 lbs of cement installed with them. The vinyl fence went up quickly and looked great I noticed from the street that it looked a little less than level and they moved it to my liking. They asked me which way I wanted the gate to swing and where I wanted the lock, how hard I wanted the gate to swing, (as I have 2 small children that like to leave it open for the dogs to get out). The beds were done after the fence, they took no time at all, and looked really great after they were done, they knew right where to put the plants, and told me when to prune them, even though that's a service they provide. The mulch they used was the best mulch I've ever seen, so jet black and clean looking.
The only gripe I have that is a small one, is that the truck, when backing onto the lawn left tracks where they drove it, pushing down the dirt. They offered to cover it with top soil and seed it for free if I wanted them to. In retrospect, I should have asked them to move the blocks by wheelbarrow but then I think it would've killed the grass with so many trips across the lawn. Next year we may have the whole front lawn sodded so it will be leveled then. We will have them come back out for that, and the rest of the fence in the backyard because they are such great workers and you can't beat their price. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs outside work done by a great company.
This is one happy customer for life!
We were very pleased and would not hesitate to use Sabba again. A friend had referred us. Sabba was always excellent in communicating in a timely manner with us. Danny came to the house and was very generous with his time. We discussed some things we wanted and we were open to his ideas that we liked. He had alot of good ideas. He would then get back to us with a design done with pictures. He gave us personal references that I spoke with, and some customers whose landscaping we could see. It was landscaping that was tasteful but not overdone. Changes were made at various points and he then gave us an estimate and we scheduled the work. A small retaining wall was put in the front as well at least 15 items planted including bushes and other plantings. Danny mapped out the front bed and was on site originally and his dad did the majority of the work, with assistance from his brother. One of the other jobs included another workman. They came on time when they said and worked hard all day. The work was done to my satisfaction. Danny preferred someone to be home so plantings could be approved before planting. They were very flexible and small changes could be made during the process. They also suggested and placed soaker hoses that we purchased for the landscaping plantings. Every single plant that they planted last spring survived to this year (even after Sandy). They also did a few other odd jobs, like repairing the mailbox, hauling away some items on property and a few other yard concerns, at no additional cost. They were very accommodating and easy to work with. We are very happy with the work they did.4
I have been using Sabba's Landscaping since approx. 2008. My first experience was when a contractor working on an addition to my home left so much dirt on the side of the house that neighborhood kids were using it to mountain bike on ! (long story)
I could not get anyone to come take it away and other landscapers were asking for hundreds of dollars to remove it. Sabba's landscaping came in a took it away for a very reasonable amount of $ ( do not recall exactly,it was now as it was in 2007)
Since then Sabba's has been cutting my lawn each summer and recently I have signed up for lawn treatment as well. I never have any issues and if I do Danny is attentive to it and communication is always good.
I highly recommend Sabba's Landscaping for all your needs, I have been a long time customer and am satisfied with their work.
In April 2010, I contacted Sabba's Landscaping for an estimate on sod installation. Danny Sabba (apparently the owner) came out and gave me estimate about 3 days after my initial call. I told him that I would like to have the work done and asked how soon they can begin. Danny said he would need to check his calendar, but they would definitely be able to do the work in the next two weeks. I never heard from Danny or anyone else at Sabba's Landscaping. On the morning of May 10th, I woke to the sound of voices in my yard and alot of banging sounds and machinery. I opened my front door, only to find about 5 men ripping up my lawn. I asked who they were and what they were doing and they informed me that they were from Sabba's Landscaping and they were there to install sod. I was very disturbed by the fact that Danny (nor anyone else from Sabba's Landscaping) ever called to set up an actual date of installation. Regardless, I let it go. I figured I wanted the sod installed as soon as possible and I just so happened to be working from home that day, so it worked out. I did voice my concern to Danny when he showed up later that afternoon to see how everything was going. He insisted that someone should have called to let me know they were coming and apologized for the confusion. That was the last I had ever seen and/or heard from Danny Sabba! Everything else, from that day forward, was handled through Danny's little sister Nicky or his mother via phone! Despite my twice daily watering, my sod never took root and died several weeks after installation. I made numerous phone calls to Sabba's Landscaping and all I was able to do is relay a message to Danny through his mother or sister. NEVER would Danny return a call or come out to view my dead sod. I even wrote a letter to Danny in 11/2010. Still - no response. His mother and sister assured me that, if I kept watering the sod, it would come back green in the spring. Needless to say, it did not! In 3/2011, I began calling and having to go through the barriers - Danny's mother and sister - once again. I was finally informed by Danny's sister on 3/14/11 that, "Danny didn't do anything wrong" and that he will "HELP ME OUT" by getting me sod at cost. He would call me with a price later that day. Once again - I never received a phone call from Danny (nor his mother or sister for that matter). One month later, on 4/18/11, I called AGAIN to ask about the estimate to replace the sod. I was told by the sister that Danny would call me within the hour. That call never came; however, his sister did manage to call me back a few hours later to let me know that there was now an estimate in my mailbox! I am still blown away at how this spineless little man cannot return a phone call or have a face-to-face conversation, yet he somehow managed to have an estimate written up and mysteriously placed into my mailbox while I sat home waiting for his call!! To think he would be so cowardly as to put an estimate in my mailbox, but not ring the doorbell and speak to me in person, knowing that I have been trying to contact him for nearly a year. It's unbelievable! This is NOT a true business man in any sense of the word! This estimate that he slipped into my mailbox was for another $1500, which does not include installation! There was a handwritten note on the bottom of the estimate stating that "AS A COURTESY" Sabba's Landscaping will install the sod for me at cost (not including the $1500!!!). If you need/want any type of landscaping done - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you find a competent, reputable, professional who stands behind their work (who does not hide behind his mother's skirt!). You will NOT be dealing with a professional here, nor will you have any contact with this person once he has your payment in hand. At Sabba's Landscaping, all you get is expremely poor quality workmanship, total lack of professionalism, and a little boy, who hides behind his mommy and little sister, who's running the show.
Response from Sabbas Landscaping LLC
"[Member Name Removed], I apologize about your experience. Before work was preformed we HIGHLY recommended that a sprinkler system be installed before spending the money on installing sod. You explained that it was not something you wanted to do and we went forward with installing the sod as you requested. We stressed that watering a newly sodded lawn is vital and that it would take more then twice a day with a small sprinkler head, especially in the heat to established the root system, We were upset to see the lawn not make it and offered to replace it at cost of the material only and free labor as the lawn was installed properly but did not thrive due to lack of water. Our offer was denied and the follow year you chose to have a sprinkler system installed and new sod laid by another company. We are sorry that this occurred but are happy to hear that you installed an irrigation system so this does not happen to you again."
