safe sweep

Very nice. Very skilled and did a great job. I am satisfied with the quality of their work. But they charged me $735 to clean my chimney, and it only took one hour. They claimed it was because the chemicals were so expensive. When I pressed them on this, they told me that the chemicals were only $100-120, which means that they charge over $600 per hour. He said that he needs to charge this much to turn a profit. He did say that if he comes out on an annual basis that he can do a chimney sweep in 10 minutes and that it will only cost $150. But still, a rate of $150 for 10 minutes or basically $650 an hour was way more expensive than I would have thought. So I would just do some price checking with other companies and check what their hourly rate is. If this is standard for the industry, then you will be happy with this company. But I find it hard to believe that all companies are charging over $600/hr.
