Very well. Brian Leigh and his crew did a beautiful job. I have already referred him to neighbors who admired the work.

Brian was a great contact person, very flexible and professional. The whole crew knew their profession. My neighbors came over to tell me how nice the guys were and how well they cleaned up after themselves.

It went extremely well. Brian was very easy to work with and he and his crew did an absolutely beautiful job. They were always on time and very clean. They made having work done at our house pleasant. Brian is a great business man with integrity and that means a lot these days. We decided to have our sidewalk pavers taken out and replaced with stamped concrete and we will be having this company do the work also.

I had Sammon install a 650 sq. foot stamped concrete patio. The owners were open to my request to keep an octagonal shape for the patio because of sentimental reasons. Work was done on time and there was ALWAYS open communication about possible delays and what to expect when the concrete was poured (color and sealing.) The job site was left clean. My questions were answered fully. My phone inquiries were answered in a timely manner. I'm so thrilled with the new patio! I highly, highly recommend Sammon concrete.

Sammson Concrete did an excellent job. My village is particularly difficult with concrete code and has some laws that I don't necessarily agree with with regards to reinforcement of concrete. Throughout the process I always felt like Sammson concrete had my best interest in mind, and went out of their way to ensure the best job possible would be performed. The driveway and garage came out looking great, and I think with a lesser company I may not have had such an easy time getting quality work done.

The old floor was replaced with a complete new poured concrete floor. Everything went very well. Work was, performed in November so drying took a bit longer than it would have during warmer months. I'm very pleased with the results. The crew was very helpful with moving a few items from the garage on the first day on the job, and immediately responsive when I had questions after the job was completed. This was the second job contracted with Sammson Concrete.and I have anything project for this spring.

Steve and his crew were extremely knowledgeable about the concrete business. They educated us to no end about the different mixes and ways to lay cement. They started and finished on time with no problems. They were very prompt and helpful and easy to work with. Steve is like dealing with the old fashioned contractor. Communication was excellent and would use them again.

We previously had our sidewalks replaced years ago and the work was sub par. When our front porches began to deteriorate, we contacted Sammson Concrete for an estimate along with a few other concrete contractors. After contacting Steve, he was out within two days to provide us with an estimate. The other contractors we contacted neither showed up or provided us with uncompetitive estimates with lengthy start dates. When we contacted Sammson to award the job, we totally expected to be put on an extended waiting list. Despite our expectations, Steve said they could get to the job within a few weeks and actually gave us a date that they would be there and informed us how long it would take to complete the job. Steve called us the day before the start date and said it might be the next day before they could start work due to inclement weather. Though we also watched the weather, it was good to hear from them regarding the possible delay. Sammson, as promised, was there the following day with their crew. After tearing out the porches, they discovered rotten wood which needed to be replaced. Sammson took pictures, explained the same to my wife, and sent me text pictures of the rotten wood. After reviewing the pictures, they called to re-explain the needed repairs as I was at work at the time. After the wood was replaced, they first poured the two patios with colored concrete and pattern the same, Wonderful! Next came the pour day for the sidewalks on one of our most hot and humid days in early July. Despite a day that many might have found an excuse not to show up, the sidewalks were poured with a brushed finish. Even after the job was completed and paid for, Sammson followed up the work to make sure we were completely happy with the job. We couldn't be more satisfied with the work and we recommend Sammson Concrete to others who may need concrete work.

They responded right away to my message on Angie's list. He was by the next day to give me a quote. They offer a 3% discount for Angie's List members. He beat his schedule estimate by quite a bit. The removal / prep was done in one day. The main driveway pour was done in another day and the sidewalk / misc was done in one day. He is extremely knowledgeable. They do all the little things that will ensure the driveway lasts. Everything that he said he would do was met - or better.

I couldn’t be more disappointed with the job performed by Sammson’s Concrete, and especially with the owner of the company, Steve. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with any contractor in my life, and I would never wish for this to occur to any other customer. Upon getting out of the hospital on May 11th, I came home to listen to my voice answering machine and heard the owner of the company screaming into the phone about how my telephone was so screwed up. He literally yelled at the top of his voice about how we were “screening” his calls, when in fact I was merely in the hospital for over a week, and nobody had been around to hear his rants into the phone. I couldn’t have been more surprised about what was going on, as Steve had promised that he would not be starting the job for another 3 to 4 weeks. So I was extremely upset about being caught in the position of having to find a way to come up with the funds for the job. Steve proceeded to scream into phone about how he was coming on Friday, May 13th to start ripping up our driveway. This is when I should have realized how volatile this man was, and I should have backed out of job (at least with him). I actually could have gotten over the fact that he started the job almost a month early, but what occurred afterword, was absolutely inexcusable. There was a new driveway down the street from us that looked very nice and Sammson Concrete had just finished up. It was a very nice looking concrete driveway with a pattern. Upon asking the owner, Steve, about the patterned driveway, he assured me that that was the only way that his firm did their driveways, he called it a “California Cut”. Having no idea about the pattern, but liking it so much, I proceeded to tell him that’s the exact way I wanted my driveway to look. I told him 6 or 7 times that unless he could do my drive this same way, with the “California Cut”, that we I could not do business with him. He assured me 6 or 7 times that is exactly what my drive would look like. The stoop of our house was “skim coated” on Friday, May 13th while rest of drive was ripped up. The stoop was done very poorly, as there are deep indentations over the entire stoop that the crew stated was for non-slipping for ice. The problem is that the entire stoop is grooved so deeply that dirt gets into the groves daily, and must be blown out every day with a broom or hose. The driveway itself was poured on Monday, May 16th. Upon returning from a doctor’s appointment, I came home to find no semblance of any pattern on my driveway. I was under the assumption that they were not done with the job. Steve, the owner, came by after 15 minutes to try to collect the balance of the money he considered was owed to him. I asked when he was going to complete the job, and he said that the job was done. I asked him, when are you doing the pattern on the drive, as I thought they had to come back to finish. He was in such a rush to get paid, that he actually walked across the driveway and left a footprint in my drive, as it was obviously not dry yet. There was also marks in the drive from some animals and another footprint that was missed by the worker. He got so angry and distraught when I told him I needed my wife to see the results of the fiasco before I paid the balance, that he stormed away swearing after pounding so hard on my door that he woke up both of my kids on the top floor of house. I called him after about 3 or 4 hours to let him know I was still waiting for my wife to come home to see what had transpired. I asked about what happened to the pattern on drive that we had agreed upon, and he told me, ”I thought it would look better without a pattern, so I decided to just brush the concrete smooth”. I asked him how in the world could he think he could take it upon himself to completely change the entire job that was agreed upon? He lied when he told me that it looked better with our house, but this was not what was promised. There are noticeable marks on the concrete where they attempted to apply the pattern, only to change the job to a plain brushed look. I’ve had a concrete guy out to look at job and he claimed the mix of concrete was too “soupy” or “thin”. So something definitely occurred to make the agreed upon job impossible to complete. When my wife arrived home, she was very disappointed that we did not get what we had been promised. I called Steve the owner that night to discuss what had happened, and he started screaming to my wife and I that he would be coming over in the morning to completely tear out our driveway. He stated that if he didn’t get paid by the next morning, our driveway would no longer exist. This scared my wife so much, that she actually paid this bully before I got home from running errands the next morning. I couldn’t believe that she had paid him, but she was so scared about having our drive ripped up by an obviously angry contractor, that she paid him the balance of what we “owed” him, minus the $200.00 previously noted for shoddy workmanship (the footprints). So, if you want to be bullied, lied to, screamed at and conned about the entire appearance of your job, then this is your man. One would think that a person who was asking for such a large amount of money, would have enough business sense to actually treat customers with respect and courtesy. As for me, he has left me no choice but to pursue other avenues for our satisfaction. As previously stated, I would never want anyone else to go through what we had to with this company.
We thought we would be able to upload pictures so potential customers could see the the disaster, but Angie's List does not seem to allow this. Pity ..

"This. Is a travesty , the proposal. Which we have of course. Clearly shows Light brown. Finish to match existing. A large section of his drive was replaced by the village I. Light broom finish. I have never ever used the phrase California Cut. As for his front stoop the customer choose to cover In a material. That is durable but not very attractive he was told this time and time again. However he had us do the repair because he simply could not afford replacement of the front stoop. The stoop looks great and his wife couldn't be more pleased. She was very pleased with the entire outcome . As for the prints in the concrete right by the front stoop I. The drive concrete , apparently Robins yes Robins the bird actually took large sections of the foam expansion joint out of the concrete and of course left a lot and I mean a lot of bird prints in the fresh concrete while tearing out the foam for nesting , we found the foam and the nest on the west side of his drive in a pile of fire wood. There's not a thing i could do about that Dilemma. When I spoke with his wife not him She and I were at accomplice agreement. There was a spot that was missed, when the finishing was being done under a large bush we had to work around, our fault clearly that's why we agreed to a two hundred dollar reimbursement . As for yelling that's a untruth pure and simple . Knocking on the rear door was the only way I could get an answer. No door bell The knocking o. The door was just a normal knock not his exaggerated complaint. When I met with [Member Name Removed] who was wonderful she apologized to me time and time again for her husband's behavior. Her husband has been diagnosed with a catastrophic disease. His life is In Total turmoil as a result. She was very apologetic and happy with us and work . We parted ways that eve happy on both ends .we sympathize with the gentlemen. And our prayers go out to her and husband .Between all the drastic MEDs and he being told that his life's end is near this poor man is extremely angry. He is in rationale is due to his illness. And to those that read this it is now 2&1/2 months later he wrote this ridiculous pack of untruths. Our hearts and prayers go out to [Member Name Removed] his wonderful wife and sons. Our prayers for him that he doesn't suffer much longer. We Sammson are appalled at this testimony. And I have left a message for his wife [Member Name Removed] to contact me, I'm certain she knows nothing of this ugly letter. He was a very very very difficult man to speak with but he or any of my customers have ever been treated with any thing less then total respect. This poor man told myself and crew Well over a dozen times he is dying and simply doesn't care any more about any thing. Again God Bless this poor man, and God Bless his family for what they are all going thru. Steve Sammson concrete ."

I found Sammson concrete on Angie's list and gave them a call. I was called back in less than an hour by the owner, Steve. I explained what I wanted and he provided some useful information about the codes specific to where I live. He came out, had a look, and provided me an estimate by the end of the first day. Steve said I may need to wait up to two weeks depending on the weather, for an opening. One of his staff called back the next day, however, and said there was an unexpected opening and could they install my patio the following day. I said yes. The next morning, Brian, Steve's son, Steve, and about 5 other workers arrived. They were careful not to tear up my existing landscaping by putting down plywood anywhere they needed to walk on grass. They were quick and efficient. They tore out my old walkway, dug out the area, put in gravel and then poured the concrete. They completed the project in about 4 hours and then cleaned up so well you couldn't tell they were there. Very impressive! From start to finish, I felt like they were treating me like I was spending tens of thousands of dollars when in fact it was just a small patio. I highly recommend Sammson Concrete to anyone looking for concrete patios.

Sammson Concrete created the most beautiful Patio i have ever seen. The patio they created for me well exceeded my expectations.Steve and Brian were able to create my vision even better than i could realize .Brian has a real artistic gift and shaped my patio in the most beautiful way, WOW! They also answered any question I had night or day and made me feel confident and comfortable every step of the way. They did the job way ahead of schedule due to weather. they were always keeping me updated with what was going on, even the weather thats why my job was done so fast! They wanted to make sure the conditions were right to get the best outcome. And when the job was complete they cleaned up so nice, they even took away some old garbage concrete i had. They really care and went over and beyond to make me happy. I can't say enough good things about Steve and his son Brian, but I can say in my opinion theres noone better. Glad and thankful I found them on Angies List! ThankYou Sammson Crew, you're the best!!!
