Mold & Toxic Material Test
Mold was used to as a means of capitalizing on a vulnerable situation and run up a bill so high. The take down and put back estimate of damage wood flooring off the scale.

Toxicity and Mold Removal
They missed the time of the initial appointment and had me running around back and forth and then after they were hired they showed up 5 hours late to start work and then nothing that was done was in alignment with what I was told. The supervisor Ivan accused me of trying to rush them, and not understanding the scope of work. Then ultimately blamed his workers for not understanding the scope of work. He lies and back pedals. I'm taking them to court so I can get my money back and have the job properly done

Toxicity and Mold Removal
Caveat Emptor! We had a water leak in the kitchen inside the walls, which later turned into mold. We got this vendor Sav On Home Improvements through Home Advisors. The initial contact went very well. They came right out and began mold remediation. They set up a plastic barrier to contain the mold within the kitchen area and placed an air filter machine inside the enclosure that remained there for at least a week. This company took a sample outside of the area of containment to test for mold in the rest of the house and sent it to a lab. We received an email from Sav On's owner stating "It shows Stachybotrys at 40 spore count. In Calif. 27-40 is considered high. Stachybotrys is one off the most dangerous molds. Due to these results, it is highly recommended that the rest off the house (air, furniture and floors) is thoroughly cleaned/sanitized." We were told by the owner (and so was our insurance carrier) that this "fogging" treatment could cost $7,000-$10,000. We have a $5,000 limit for mold abatement in our insurance policy. The owner of Sav On agreed to accept what was left of the mold benefit and we scheduled the "fogging" service for the rest of the house. When Save On first began the job, and they removed our kitchen cabinets, granite, microwave and stove top, they stated that we had a puncture in the gasline leading to the stove top. We engaged the services of a plumbing company to repair the pipe that caused the water leak and he also replaced the punctured gas line. However, the plumber did not repair the gas line properly and we smelled natural gas in the house after he left. The plumber returned the following day, thought he fixed the leak and left again. We continued to smell gas so we called The Gas Company out and they turned off the gas at the street and to all appliances and "red tagged" the gas line with the leak. We called a different plumbing company to come out and after extensive testing, he found the leak and it was repaired properly. The Gas Company returned, turned on the gas at street level and to all appliances. In the mean time, the owner of Sav On cancelled any further service on our home stating that his attorney advised him against completing our job and stated "Due to the house being red tagged because of a gas leak problem, at this time we will not move any further with your job due to the liability, insurance and not wanting to put our techs in harms way. Plus we are booked out for the next 4 weeks." Mind you the gas leak had been repaired promptly and the red tag removed. Sav On abandoned us in the middle of the job and left us in a real mess. Our insurance company recommended another mold remediation company. When they came out they stated that the mold work in the kitchen was only half completed. They worked on cleaning it for an additional 4 days. They also sent a lab tech out to take several mold samples outside containment and results were essentially negative. We consulted with th

Insurance companies DON'T normally cover mold damage, so if you have water damage get it repaired before the mold damage can occur.

Toxicity and Mold Removal
This company is very easy to work with. They are family owned and operated. They came out on time every time and did their work quickly and efficiently. They were always available to answer any questions I had and I had many :) Ivan is great, he knows what he is doing and any concerns I may have had during the process were alleviated quickly. Sav-On Home Improvement values their customers and makes sure they are taken care of. I will recommend this company again and again.

Toxicity and Mold Removal
This started as Mold removal project and ended up a kitchen remodel. New cabinets/countertops etc. They lie about when the job is to be finished. Did not communicate with me unless I called first. There was little to no communication between the owner and his workmen. They do not want to listen to what you want done, just what they want to do. I still have a leak when I use the garbage disposal. I am hiring a plumber to fix that. The work supervisor said he 'had never worked in a mobile home before'. The range is so tight in the counter it can't be moved to clean behind it. NEVER AGAIN
