We feel like we won the lottery finding general contractor Billy Shapiro of SBS of South Florida to handle our shower remodel. We knew there was a leak, but didn't know where or how serious. Billy came out right away to evaluate the situation and come up with an initial plan at a fair estimate to repair the problem, knowing it could be more extensive. He was right. When his team began removing tile they discovered the leak had caused major damage and ended up demoing, rebuilding and retiling the shower. Billy's team is second to none -- they are skilled craftsman who do top quality exceptional work, pay meticulous attention to detail, are prompt and reliable, and leave the job site organized and clean at the end of each day. (How often do you find that level of professionalism any more in South Florida?) Billy is in regular communication with the customer, clearly explaining next steps throughout the entire project. The quote for the extra remodeling work was fair, reasonable, honest and well worth it considering the quality of work we received in return. Before this project was complete, we already began talking to Billy about having his team back for more projects. Our shower remodel looks like a million bucks but didn't come close to that price tag! We highly recommend Billy Shapiro and SBS of South Florida for your repair and remodeling work!

I was in search of an experienced and reliable contractor who would be able to repair a badly deteriorating parapet that was causing a leak in my ceiling and after consulting with several contractors, I chose SBS of South Florida. The deciding factor was Billy's professional manner and overall assessment of the problem - he explained what needed to be done and I was impressed by his attention to detail. His foreman, Josh, and his team were punctual, respectful and were diligent about getting the work done and leaving the job site clean at the end of each day. What a great team! The job took approximately 5 days, which is what Billy anticipated and I am pleased with the finished product. I highly recommend SBS of South Florida and have no hesitation in recommending their services.

I just went through a kitchen remodel with Billy Shapiro and his team at SBS of South Florida Inc. My 83 year old mother has lived in her condo for over 15 years and always wanted to get it remodeled as it was the original kitchen from when the unit was built in the early 1970s - formica and a cumbersome dropped plexiglass ceiling that was just plain old ugly. She has been saving for it for years, but had a modest budget and we were almost put off on having the work done because either contractors quoted some ridiculous price or didn't want to be bothered with a smaller job. I contacted Billy through Angie's List and he got back with me immediately and set up an appointment to meet me at mom's place to scope out the job. He said he would get back to us within a couple of days - and he did and he quoted her a complete kitchen remodel that was within her budget. He was very helpful in suggesting ways or areas that she could save money. Three weeks later, she has a beautiful kitchen that she has always dreamed of that looks like it costs way beyond modest budget. Billy kept us informed daily, his workers showed up when they were supposed to show up and just as important to me they were so extremely nice and respectful to my 83 year old mother. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. Glad I found him.

Billy (owner) is great. He was responsive and followed up with me after providing an estimate, We even made a change mid job (additional slab area) and Billy was cool with that. His crew (Chad & Josh) are outstanding, nice guys, who speak English (their first language) and everybody was professional, reliable and quality work was done as planned. Same with the chain link guy. Very nice gentleman. Everybody speaks English. In So FL that’s getting rare. Don’t go with the cheapest estimate. You really do get what you pay for in this business. Even so prices were reasonable. Great group of guys. I can only hope they are still in business for my next repair/upgrade. You will not be sorry if you choose these guys to do your work.

It was a pleasure working with Mr. Shapiro and his Staff. They were professional, reliable and to my surprise compassionate to my situation. After, my father had an accident in the tub, it became necessary to have the bathroom remodel to handicapped standards to prevent future accident. Mr. Shapiro was very compassionate in not only handling my fathers needs but also completing the job in a timely manner so that it will not inconvenience my father for too long. In less than 3 weeks the job was completed , just in time for my Dad to celebrate Christmas in his apartment. The work done was beautiful and although, there were minor setback Mr. Shapiro handle the situation in a responsible and professional manner. In the future, I will need to remodel my brothers apartment and I will not hesitate to call on Mr. Shapiro again. I look forward to working with his company SBS again. Thank you so much.

I needed some minor work done to replace my front door handle, which had fallen apart. Even though SBS usually handles large contract jobs, I got an immediate response from the owner, who arranged to have an employee fix the handle that very evening. The man who fixed the handle was punctual, professional, and efficient. I was so impressed that they responded to this simple request so quickly, and that they did such an excellent job. SBS appears to be a business that can handle any job professionally--I felt as though I was dealing with experts who were also as kind as next-door neighbors. I highly recommend them.

A job well done! My husband and I are elated at the successful remodeling of our bathroom by SBS of South Florida, Bill Shapiro, owner and workers. Our requests were made into a reality. We wanted our bathroom remodeled with a walk-in shower added and the bathtub/shower combination replaced with only a soaking tub. The toilet had to be relocated to make move for the walk-in shower. This is a job well done. The tiling, painting, plumbing and electrical installations was also completed to our satisfaction. Bill and workers are extremely reliable. We highly recommend SBS of South Florida.

It went great! My first time remodeling. It went fairly smooth given my 32 yo home and it turned out beautifully. I supplied most of the materials and SBS supplied knowledgeable, skilled and professional tradesmen. They were always on time and were very respectful of my home. My job was small, but tedious. SBS was patient amd accommodating. SBS may soon remodel my master bathroom and my garage including painting the garage floor! I'm a VERY happy SBS customer. Thumbs up :)

Particularly to those beginning to lose all faith in south Florida contractors ...Finally! ... a contractor you can trust to complete work of high quality, that will respond to you in a timely and professional manner, that will keep you apprised every step of the way, whose counsel can be trusted, and whose prices are fair. Both knowledgable and creative, what a pleasure it has been to work with Billy of SBS and a really top-notch crew. I strongly recommend SBS and look forward to more projects with them.

They were very professional, responsive to my needs, and did a great job. My only concern on reflection is that I did not get receipts for items purchased by them, i.e., tiles, etc. But that was my error, not theirs. The cost of the service was $6000 (The system would not accept my figures).

Billy and his team were professional and provided top notch service from the beginning of our project until the end. We hired SPS for a fairly small project, yet Billy treated us like we were his #1 clients. Billy made himself available, was incredibly responsive, punctual and stuck to his word with everything he told me. He made me feel confident in his professional opinion while giving us guidance on our project. His team was respectful and timely while doing quality work. Dustin communicated very well with me about when he would be arriving, was on time, did quality work and cleaned up leaving after completing the project. I would not hesitate to recommend Billy and SPS to anyone I know and I look forward to using this company for future and bigger projects in my home.

Billy was referred to me by a coworker. He arrived on time to do a walk through and give me different options without rushing or being pushy as a Salesman. When the job was started his team arrived exactly on time every day, was super flexible with my schedule, cleaned up after themselves, and most importantly did an excellent job. The attention to detail and pride in their work was apparent from the beginning I am looking forward to starting the next project.

Contacted a few other companies with top Angie's List ratings to get an estimate on a fairly small master bathroom and SBS was the very last one I got. Billy was very helpful in helping me find areas where I could save some money, while some of the other companies tended to make suggestions that, although would have been nice, were just out of my budget. Communication during the remodel was excellent and SBS was very accommodating to my requests. Overall a great experience, will definitely hire again.

This was my second time using SBS contracting. Billy was punctual and professional as during the first experience. He did an excellent job of communicating and making sure the job was being done to my satisfaction. He was also very good about figuring out where we may run into issues with the city and was very proactive in working with the city inspectors to make sure everyone was on the same page. I believe this was rewarded by everything going smooth and no hickups from any of the inspections. Throughout the job he and his crew were very sensitive to the dust and debris not getting into the deweling. Cleaned up as much as possible after every day. This is much appreciated by me and my family. The quality of work was really good. Took the extra time and effort to do things the right way even if not called for in the drawings...(A++++). Overall would definitely hire again and would give a strong recommendation anytime.

Work was done very quickly & very professionally....I was so happy with the quality of the work & the final outcome of the project! The entire team showed great pride in their work, were very clean, punctual & courteous. Billy was very responsive & went out of his way to bring an electrician with him in the evening to troubleshoot an AC issue I was having after the first day....fortunately they were able to fix the issue in a few minutes! I would definitely recommend SBS for any general contracting projects any friend of mine would have, and I would hire them again if i ever need general contracting work...top notch service provider that definitely gets two thumbs up on the job they did for me!

Excellent, would definitely recommend this company. They did stucco work and minor handyman work, all done to perfection.

First of all, Billy did a great job of communicating what they could do to solve the problem. He even had someone else come out for a second opinion. They performed the work on time and it was quality work. Billy provided progress photos and kept me informed of what was going on. One of those rare times I hired someone who actually did what they said they would do.
