Poor communication, unrealistic, and unprofessional. They agreed to build an 8x8 shed in our backyard in 1 day. They arrived at 8:40 am on Tuesday. By 3:30, the shed was incomplete and they left because they felt sick. They said they’d come back on Wednesday and asked if they could leave their trailer. We agreed since we thought it was for one night. The owner texts Wednesday morning stating he had a fever, wouldn’t be able to come and that he could finish on Saturday. Normally that wouldn’t have been an issue. Definitely understand someone getting sick, but the forecast called for freezing rain on Thursday and snow on Friday. That being the case, I asked if they could pick up the trailer and wrap the unfinished shed to protect it before the weather started. With NC infrastructure, it would optimistic for roads to be in good shape by Monday, and we didn’t want a trailer taking up 1 of 2 parking spaces for a week (we live on a narrow road with minimal street parking). He agreed and said he’d be there Thursday morning to do it. He didn’t communicate a specific time so I assumed they’d arrive around 8:40 again. I had an appt at 7:30, so I thought I had plenty of time to finish that before their arrival. I received a call from him at 7:35 asking where I was. He was irritated and gave me attitude for not being home, even though he didn’t give me an arrival time. I said I didn’t know if I could leave my appt and that I was sorry for the confusion/miscommunication. I ended up being able to adjust my plans and came home within 10 min of his call. Upon my arrival he said that I didn’t have to change my plans and that they were just here to pick up the trailer and materials. Since that was the case, I decided to go back to my appt. He even said that I could close the fence door to the backyard before I left because they were finished. I went on that day and most of Friday not thinking of the interaction when I received a text from him Friday evening telling me that he was terminating the business and would not be finishing the shed. Within that text, he accused me of not caring about his and his employee’s health, said I prevented them from completing the job on Thursday, complained about the time it took to drive to my house, and blamed the entire situation on me. I would never want him to jeopardize their health for a job. I didn’t expect them to finish the shed while sick— we just wanted the shed to be wrapped and the trailer to be taken away. Maybe 15 min of light work. I apologized for the miscommunication on both sides but he would not take any responsibility for it. I also think it’s unrealistic to leave a trailer in a client’s driveway for a week. I know you can’t help being sick, but it doesn’t change the situation. Lastly, I did not force him to take my business in the first place. He was full within his rights to not engage if he didn’t want to travel outside a certain radius. All of these interactions outside of arriving were communicated over text. There were no phone calls to figure out a solution. Very unprofessional and immature. I saw 5 stars and was excited to work with them, especially since we like to support new businesses. Unfortunately 5 stars was not our experience. I would never recommend this business to anyone. Any hiccups will be blamed on the customer and he’ll take no accountability along the way. Now we have to try to find another company to finish a custom shed that he designed. What a headache— should have chosen an established business.

Quality looks great and did the work in expedited time. Really like the way it came out and looks.

Scott was upfront, honest & and answered all my questions. He was able to get my shed built within a week and a half of my first contact with him. He did everything including ground prep. All we had to do was pay him! My husband is very impressed with the construction & feels it is solid & well worth the money spent. Hands down Scott was the best price around & able to build much faster than any that sell pre-fab buildings. We really appreciate his integrity & good work. Hard to find these days. Scott did a custom build for me within the budget we discussed and very quickly. There were a few details which I wasn’t sure on and left judgment up to him. I am very happy with his work and already have the next project build in my head with full confidence that he will be able to pull it off.
