A fantastic experience. I have a complicated roof with several valleys and angles. Chuck S. was a total professional, and I have total confidence as he guided me thru the options and choices. The precision and care of the installation was impressive, down to the small details. The installation crew was as hard working of a crew as I have ever seen. The tone was set by the owner being up on the roof with one arm in a cast pounding nails as fast as anyone else. Every night there was a 100% clean up. The level of care shown by the crew is summed up in one incident. My wife was in the yard and picked up a small piece of paper. One of the guys pounding nails stopped working to yell at her to stop doing that. Picking up was his job. This is the 3rd roofer I have used, and I will never call anyone else.

Using Angie's List to identify contractors, we solicited four local roofing companies. Chuck Scandroli, the owner, came to my home as scheduled and soon after presented us with a detailed plan and cost proposal. His plan, and personal attention and demeanor, led me to want to use Scandroli Roofing for this work. The entire roof was replaced, along with all gutters and downspouts, and an older skylight was replaced as well. All of the work was professionally done. The employees were courteous and helpful. The entire job took about 3 work days, and when done there was no mess or trash left behind, and virtually no nails found lying in the grass or driveway! Scandroli brought in an outside contractor to do the interior finishing for the skylight, and Johnson Drywall did an excellent job. We were extremely happy with the quality and professionalism of Chuck and his company and highly recommend them to anyone needing roof or gutter work.

This all started last winter when the roof started to leak around the fireplace.  Mr. Scandroli came out and looked at the problem and put tar all over the roof to keep it from leaking until the roof could be repaired in the spring. To my surprise he called in mid march and said they would start the roof the next Monday.  High winds kept that from happening for two days but the work started on Wednesday and was completed in 5 days.  The men came at 8am every day and worked through till it was dark.  They always made sure that everything was picked up at the end of the day.  Mr. Scandroli came by twice every day and talked to me about the progress of the roof.  The roof and gutters look great and the service was exceptional.

They put on a roof for both my sisters, and my girlfriend too just had hers done last month. They were prompt, they did a good job, I get a lot of compliments on the roof, and the price was reasonable. I had several bids on it, and they weren't the highest, but they weren't the lowest either. They cleaned up their mess.

We didn't realize that the roof was shingled improperly.  Scandroli Roofing did a great job and I am satisfied that they properly reroofed our home. The estimate was done promptly and they were true to their price. <br />

Punctuality is not what these guys are about. They are craftsmen of the finest sense of the word. Partially because of the poor early summer weather the start date was postponed several times and even after the start, completion took longer than expected. <br /> I can whole heartedly say it was worth the wait. At the end of each day time was alloted to cleaning up the area and making sure no nails or debris was left in the yard or driveway. They did a <strong>great job </strong>every day. If something was not right they fixed it immediatly. The roof looks great. They cleaned the yard, They cleaned the drive. They cleaned the gutters and downspouts. While a lot of the wood under the roof was replaced the total cost was only slightly increased. I would never hesitate to contract Scandroli Roofing again. <br />

We had Scandroli Roofing replace our roof several years ago on a different house. We were extremely happy with the workmanship. We moved and had to have leaks repaired four times on the roof that was on the house. We finally decided enough was enough and replaced the roof. We had a lot of rain at the time, but they were here working every day until the rain started again.  They made sure I wasn't inconvienenced and did a very good job of cleanup every day. <br />

I had a few missing shingles and what I thought was just a  minor roof leak. I used "Angie's list" to find four local roofing companies. SCANDROLI ROOFING was one of those companies. I set up appointments with all four companies to come out and give me estimates for roof repairs.   <br /> SCANDROLI ROOFING was one of the companies I contacted. Chuck Scandroli came out to my home and did a complete inspection of the existing roof. He showed me where there were problems and also explained why they were problems. I received his written estimate the next day. Their quote was not only the most complete, it was also the most reasonable and offered the most complete solution for the problem. <br /> I chose them over the other companies for multiple reasons, Cost, completeness, capability  and quality. I contacted them and we set a date for the repair work. They were on time, they did what they said they would do, they met the quoted cost  and they did the job right the first time. This job went extremely well from start to finish. Appointments for estimates were on time, everyone from office staff to crew on the job  was efficient and professional. Their decades of experience instilled confidence that we would get a quality job and we did. We were given explanations for every detail of the job. Our roof and chimneys look better than new.   The whole crew was extremely polite and courteous at all times. They cleaned up the area at the end of each working day. This company is concerned that the customer is getting top quality work and is satisfied that expectations have been met. They take pride in their crew, their work and reputation. The Scandroli crew were prompt, friendly and very conscientious.  The rose bushes and plants were covered with tarps and never damaged.  They backed a large dump truck to end of driveway in front of garage and tossed all roofing  materials  directly into the truck and not on my lawn. Each night the crew cleaned up and paid strict detail to any possible stray debris blown off from roof. My shingles were put on by hand and the crew was efficient and worked diligently.  The owner, Chuck Scandroli,  was professional and nice and answered all questions we had thoroughly.  It was evident his crew respected him highly.  There was one rainy day and the roof was covered and protected from the elements.  We were informed the day before that in the event of it raining all day the roof would be protected and that work would resume the next day.  Work resumed promptly as reported. When they finished the job they performed an extra cleanup detail and checked all gutters as well as the roof and ground.  We were pleased to know that this completed job carried a 10 year, manufacturer's guarantee on labor.  It was a professional job with no stress from start to finish and I would highly recommend this company to everyone.

The job was excellent from start to finish. They showed up when they were supposed to be there and they worked all day. Clean up was performed all day long. Safe and professional workers who always showed courtesy and respect to me and my family. This job took 6 days and was the best by far of any experience I have ever had with a contractor,bar none. all of the old materials were hauled away and final top notch cleanup was performed at the end of their services. They are very personalized. Their pricing is fair. They are committed to the job. They have knowledge of metal roofing. He was the only person in town who understood metal roofing, the technicalities of it and the products available for metal roofing. He helped me investigate and select the best roof for my house. The work was ongoing for several months, and they just finished recently. I would give them a high rating in all categories. I would definitely use them again in the future.

I am writing this for my elderly mother who does not have internet capability. <br /> My mother discovered she had some shingles missing from her garage.  The garage had been re-roofed recently, perhaps only 7 years ago.  The contractor who did that job should have removed the shingles, because there already were 2 layers on the garage.  I guess he didn't count the cedar shakes as a layer.  Of course the cedar shakes were so very old that they had mostly turned to dust.  So the new shingles had nothing to be fastened/nailed to.  <br /> She found a contractor to check the roof and learned that she had hail damage as well.  <br /> I encouraged her to get a second bid.  When she told me how she would go about doing that, and more importantly how much time that would take and when she might get around to it, I signed up for Angie's list in her locatiion.  She didn't know about Angie's list and was skeptical. After significant pleading she agreed to call the Scandroli roofing company found on Angie's List. <br /> I chose Scandroli's because they had one of the best ratings on the list and they were located close to my mother's home. <br /> <br /> Pam and Chuck Scandroli and their crew did a wonderful job.  Pam went out of her way to stay in touch with me and my mother and the insurance company.  <br /> <br /> Chuck took samples and brochures to Mom at least twice.  The color she chose wasn't available in the grade of shingles she chose by the first manufacturer--the one Scandroli's usually uses.  So he checked another manufacturer and brought over those samples. <br /> <br />  The  entire Rockford area and beyond had hail damage over a few months period in the Spring of 2011.  So the insurance people were piled high with claims and not being responsive.  All of the roofing contractors were also backlogged with scheduled jobs.  <br /> <br /> First the insurance company did not want to pay for removal of both layers of asphalt shingles and the cedar shake shingles.  Then they did not want to pay for decking and installation of it.  Finally they did not want to approve an extension for the required six month completion from the date of damage, in spite of a significant amount of delay being caused by their failure to communicate in a timely fashion. <br /> <br /> Pam looked up the regulations for code in Mom's location and sent this information to the insurance company and to me.  This was really over and above what a roofing contractor should have to do.  Any insurance company doing business in a location should know the building codes for the location, since most (maybe all) policies require returning a structure back to code after damage.  But Pam did it in good humor and it got the insurance company to cover the necessary repairs.  Pam also wrote to the insurance company and explained the extent of damage to the area and that all of the local roofers just couldn't take care of all of the damage in such a short time frame.  Again, the insurance company agreed to extend the time allowed to complete the job and submit the final billing papers. <br />   <br /> There is just one thing they missed.  Because the cedar shake had turned to "dust" a couple of nails fell through the roof into the garage.  Fortunately, Mom looked for and found 2 nails on the garage floor.  They used their magnet to gather nails outside around the garage, but apparently missed inside the garage. <br /> <br />  Now that the job is done, paid for and the insurance company has been billed, I am very happy to say that my mother is over whelmingly happy with the job they did. <br /> We can't say enough good things about the Scandroli's.  We really could not have gotten this done and gotten the insurance company to cooperate with out their help.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.  <br /> If you need roofing work done, especially if your insurance is involved, call Scandroli's!

I got their name from Angie's List and they did a good job.  Their people were all very professional and courteous.  What I didn't like, which I guess they couldn't help it, is that they didn't come when I first expected them to.  They had to go with the weather so that's not really their fault.  I really didn't have any problems with them.  They did a good job cleaning up.  They weren't the cheapest price I got, but I'd say they were reasonable.

We were very happy with the quality of work, price, and duration. The work was done according to schedule. The only concern that prevented me from giving the company an overall "A" was the on-site crew didn't communicate to us (the homeowners) or the business owner regarding a weak spot in the old roof.

We researched roofing companies in the area. We discovered Scandroli Roofing through Angie's List. We then talked to people who had used Scandroli Roofing for their work. We went to a location out of town where Scandroli Roofing had installed a new roof of the type we were interested in, and we spoke to the home owner. We received excellent references with regard to Scandroli's work and with respect to how they are as a contractor to deal with. We then entered into a contract for the work, but only after having had every detail explained to us by Chuck Scandroli, and after we had discussed his various recommendations. Where the recommendations involved things about which we had no knowledge or experience, we were given other jobs to look at to educate ourselves, and to review the results. Chuck Scandroli, the owner, is very good to deal with, and I always had the feeling that he took pride in their work, and when our job was finished, I felt he took pride in the result. During the construction process Chuck took pictures of the various things he ran into (such as rotted out wood and other surprises) and at the end of the job he sat down and went through the pictures and explained what they had done to fix the problems, some of which had been anticipated, and some not. We have a very old house, with a steep roof, and lots of valleys and dormers. In all we were very satisfied with the contract, the exceptional work they did, the crew, the result, and dealing with Chuck Scandroli, the owner. We would recommend Chuck Scandroli to our friends, which as a matter of fact we have already done.

They did what they said they were going to do and they did it when they said they were going to do it. All the workers were courteous. The owner was good to deal with.

They had high recommendations online. They did an excellent job. I would recommend them to others. There is a 20 year guarantee for the whole job with 30 years for the shingles. I was very pleased with their job. They were very thorough. It?s an architectural type of roof and the shingles that they used are good quality shingles. We had received another bid for the same job but that company quoted over $15000. However, we got the same guarantee and the same job done by Scandroli Roofing Company for less money. They were clean and respected everything. They didn?t break anything. The price was very agreeable for what we had done and was excellent. The quality was top notch. I would definitely use their services in the future too.
