I will start this review by stating that Ed and his workers were very friendly at first. This pains me as I do not like giving negative reviews. In my opinion, he is a scam artist. I was quoted and paid for a cedar fence. I happened to locate the bar code tacked on the fence panels that they were putting up (he told me they came from the home maintenance store), and looked it up on the website. It was pine. Pine is considerably cheaper than cedar and lesser quality, which is why I went with cedar in the first place. I explicitly asked him when they placed the panels in my yard if that was cedar as I do not know the difference. He stated yes it was. He is the professional and should know the difference in the woods. I find it very hard to believe he could no tell the wood type by sight/smell/texture since he does this for a living. They did not show up until midday some days. I had to constantly text/call to see what time they were going to show up. He always had an excuse and said *he would get here as soon as he can*. What was supposed to be a 3 day job turned into 5 weeks, with a partial fence up and panels laying around my yard. Also to note, a hurricane came through in the meantime; however, this job should have been completed well before this natural disaster. There were concreted poles that were damaged. He told me he would normally have the customer file it on their home owners insurance so he can get paid. This seemed fraudulent to me. I refused to do this. It was still an open job site; therefore, his responsibility to correct in order to complete the job. This entire situation was a major inconvenience for me as my dog is accustomed to going out at his leisure through his doggy door. I was having to take him out on a leash every few hours...major adjustment for the both of us. I ended up just asking them to continue putting up the pine rather than the cedar (as there was a shortage of cedar in the area) just to get the fence completed. It was extremely difficult to get them back to finish the job. I was tired of having a partial fence up with panels lying around the yard. I tried to ask for a partial refund since it was a cheaper job with the pine. He refused to refund anything. He tried to make me feel guilty saying I was trying to get the job done as cheaply as possible. All my quotes were at least $1,000 lesser in cost for pine vs cedar. He spoke to me as if this were my fault, when the entire issue began with him bringing the incorrect wood panels. I simply caught on to it. When I reached out to him on the *last day of construction* to inquire when he would be here, he told me he was meeting with his lawyer. Total scam. He fraudulently installed the wrong wood type and would not finish the job. I had to seek out an attorney to send a demand letter in order to complete the job. I have never had to do this in my life. Finally, he came back out to finish the job.

They did a great job. They were punctual and professional. I would hire them again.

Came in and got everything done quickly! It was great work and he saved me from doing it.
