About us
At SFA you will find second-to-none service and high quality flooring options at a cost that will make you smile. It all started in 1992, when Wayne and Maxine Schneider purchased a Professional Carpet Systems franchise based in Atlanta. The business grew rapidly and soon began offering flooring products and services. Business continued to grow through a customer focused effort. In August 2002, America's Carpet Gallery merged with FA and became part of the most successful flooring co-op in America, CCA Global Partners. During this time the family owned business changed its name to Schneider's Flooring America. In November 2002, SFA purchased the former Frank's Nursery building on Route 83 in Vernon. Schneider's Flooring America is now a Fashion Showplace, carrying all types of Carpet, Hardwood, Laminate, Ceramic Tile and Vinyl flooring. SFA has a team of employees who are fully trained and the focus has been and will always be, to provide our customers with outstanding service and value. We look forward to many more years of growth while continuing to maintain a family-owned and operated identity.

Excellent help up front, in helping us pick a carpet that would fit our needs, and match our interior. Both the estimator, and the installer were right on time, within minutes. An excellent installation by a very friendly, helpful installer. I would not hesitate to use them again.

My experience in the store was pleasurable. Jocelyn helped me with my tile selection. They set up the measuring appointment, ordered the materials, and scheduled installation all within two weeks. The installer was very professional. He did a great job. He left my kitchen neat and tidy. <br />

Excellent from start to finish. Ordered materials and they held them until we were ready. They called the day before to confirm installation, showed up on time. The installer was professional and cleaned up after himself. This is the 2nd time we used them and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. <br />

It went wonderful. They were very accommodating. We had to change the appointment due to the closing date of the house. They bent over backwards to make sure the job was done well. We had been hoping not to have any furniture in the house, but it showed up early. They told us not to worry about it and worked the project. They even offered to help us move furniture back in afterwards.

My wife and I met with Carl Schneider in his Showroom. Carl showed us the various types of flooring available, and described details associated with installation on cement, and in unheated rooms that can reach temperatures below freezing. Everything was clear and open; no pressure, no concerns. Prices per Tile were very reasonable for all varieties. <br /> <br /> Don was the installer, a craftsman who loves his trade. He set up the job first by planning the layout to insure there would not be narrow tiles ending at any wall. Then he checked for any rises or depressions in the cement floor, leveling the floor with a liquid "level-and-set" material. Finally he "babied" every tile in place; the result is a beautiful floor. <br /> <br /> We Highly recommend Schneider's Flooring America.

They worked with my scheduling needs and gave me credit for prep work that I did on my own. Bruce and Jocelyn (sales associates) were patient and helped me find what I was looking for. Rick installed my carpet and did an excellent job. I'm not young and have always had carpet. I can definitely say that this was the highest quality carpet installation I have ever had. <br /> I had a friend help me with the tile installation. <br />

This is the second time that we have used Schneider's for flooring and we were very pleased with the quality and variety of the flooring available. Also we were very pleased with the installation. They truly go the extra mile to make sure that you are happy with both their product and installation. They were very patient with my wife and I in picking out the product that we wanted within our budget and showing us options if we wanted to step up or down in price. They always respond very quickly to phone calls and installation was done in a timely manner. We found there installers to be skilled and knowledgable. When installing new carpet the first time we used them, we mentioned to the installer that our floors squeaked in a number of places and asked him if he could do anything about it. He fixed most of the squeaks by putting in additional screws to tighten up the subfloor at no extra charge. We were very happy since we were preparing to out the house on the market. <br />

We are so glad that we chose to purchase tile from Schneider's and that we used Schneider's for installation. From the moment we stepped in the store showroom to ask for help in picking out tile, to the final installation, everyone was professional & very customer service oriented. It helped so much to be able to "check out" large tile samples to bring home for a few days to see how the tile would appear at different times of the day with varying light. The installers were excellent. When we weren't sure about the pattern placement we wanted for the tiles, the installers recommended three different ways, and took the time to lay out the tiles exactly like they would be placed, until we could make up our minds. They did a wonderful job, and our tile floor looks incredible! We will definitely use Schneider's Flooring America (again) for our future flooring needs. We highly recommend them! <br />

I had just joined Angie's list and was happy to be able to use it for the first time when I started looking at replacing all my carpeting. Schneider Flooring came up as one of the stores in my area. I called to make an appointment with Jocelyn Schneider and found her to be extremely knowledgeable and professional. She set up an appointment for me to have one of their technicians come to my house to measure and be able to provide an estimate. He was there at the same time as the insurance adjuster and was very helpful, even offering to send the original carpet to the labs they use to determine the make, quality and value. <br /> I went then went to the store to select carpeting of the same nature as the one we were replacing. I feel confident that I actually got a better grade of carpeting and still stayed within the appropriate range. I had the opportunity to select from a wide assortment and to have large samples sent directly to my house within two days. This made my selection process very easy. <br /> The installation itself was a good experience, the installers were very personable, polite and very neat. <p>The installers arrived on time and promptly began their work. They were polite, friendly, and efficient as they completed their work. They moved furniture, tore up the old carpeting, installed the carpeting, and cleaned up, taking about 6 hours. The new carpeting looks great--a job well done!</p> <p>The salesmen did a follow-up call to assure my satisfaction with the carpet and with the installation job. <p>From our first visit with Paul who arrived on time to provide us with an estimate. We were impressed by his professionalism and kindness. He asked us a few questions about what we were looking for, measured our condo and let us know he will provide us with an estimate within a day or two. On the 2nd day, we received the estimate, made an appointment to visit Joselyn in the Schneider's Flooring America store in Vernon, CT, and were greeted by Joslyn who helped us to make a decision about which carpet and tile to purchase. Joslyn was also very professional and clearly had our best interest in mind. We looked at only the carpeting and tile choices (there were many on display in their beautiful store) that would meet our budget. Next, we scheduled the installation and the day before the installation, Kevin called to let us know the time of their arrival. Kevin and Scott arrived promptly, very professional, kind and hard workers. It took two days to complete the installation of our new carpet which looks beautiful. Schneider's Flooring America really took care of us. We have already highly recommended them to our friends and family. Thank you Schneider's!</p> <br />
