It didn't.... Michael practically begged me for the job, after we met he called me several times sent text etc, then after signing a contract, giving a 60% deposit and an estimated start date 2 weeks later he pulls out. While he did return my deposit he left me in a terrible spot. He's not a very truthful or honest person and in my experience with him can't be counted on.

We purchased it at a special rate of #399.00 for 6 hours of work. When we found out he only could do 1/4 of the work we asked for a price and it was $600.00 for another 6 hours. we paid it and found out he had completed the work in 3 hours then left. he was suppose to return to clean up the weeds he didn't get the first time but went on vacation then by the time he returned new weeds had grown an he said he was not responsible for them. Anyway we paid him then just walked away from this deal. <br /> <br /> <br />

"This is very untrue, we worked past the 6 hours paid for by this customer, we agreed to do extra work where the customer themselves advised what extra money they were willing to pay for the extra work which we agreed to and we worked past the paid for time and they paid me extra as well for debree which I gave them the price for and they talked among themselves and text me to advise they were good w the debree cost.. Additionally, the customer did not want to pay for mulch over top after we weeded which I advised will be helpful in holding weeds down from coming back, they declined for me to install. Last we weeded very well every inch of what we agreed to and the customer looked around at everything was satisfied on our check of our work and paid us.. Weeds can always come back that is the nature of mulch beds. But due to them deciding to not pay for fabric or mulching after time the weeds will be more likely to come back.. Michael owner"

<p>The backyard looks great now. Michael (owner) and his staff were very professional and easy to work with. Michael kept us informed as to the progress and the dates when different elements of the work would be performed (the work was staged to allow for the proper sequence of events) and for the most part he kept to his schedule and delivered a wonderful finished product. He was very helpful in telling us how to care for the new work....frequency of watering the sod and trees etc. The sod took very well and the new trees are also doing good.</p> <p>Michael's crew cleaned up after each day at our house and never left things in disarray.</p> <p>Bottom line...Schultz landscaping delivered the project as promised with no issues. I plan to use them again for some future work and would certainly recommend them to others who are looking for good quality landscape work at a reasonable price.</p> <br />

The quality of the grass and work was terrible, grass dies about 2 months later, so bad was the work that no grass ever grew back int he area that was damaged. the bushes he planted never grew, all died.

Mike did a nice job. It was a lot of work to remove and replace everything and any time I asked he responded. Very satisfied and appreciative of him and his crew. I would use him again <br />

It was ok. They did most of what we wanted. He didn't expected so much work. They didn't estimate the right amount of mulch. It wasn't what we were looking for. The hard part was getting rid of the stone which we were happy with. The guys were nice and on time. They worked very hard. They didn't remove all of the stumps.

"The customer says nothing of the quality of work? only that they were charged for debree which this customer knew in advance that would be the case. We could have left the debree, but she chose for us to take it and my company has to pay to get rid of the debree. We always charge for debree since we have been in business almost 20 years. Its a small fee and it covers our cost! We always are willing to do the best we can for the customer in every situation, as we are a very much a customer driven company and always try to do the right thing for the customer... thx Michael owner"

I was very pleased with the outcome. The owner, Michael, was very responsive whenever I called with questions and was on site to oversee parts of the work. The two workers who did the installation were professional, courteous and hard-working, as the project was very labor-intensive. They got the job done and cleaned up afterwards. I love how my patio looks and I have no complaints. I would definitely use this company again for other projects and would recommend them to others. <br />

I called Schultz for an estimate to weed the beds in the front and back of my house and around the pool deck. I did not ask for an Angie?s list coupon deal. I had landscaping work that needed to be done and asked for a quote. Mike estimated 3 days and scribbled a ?contract? on a scrap of paper that listed the costs for labor and materials including landscape fabric, mulch, rocks and a few plants. I decided to go with Mike because of his availability to get the job done. (sooner than other contractors I had come to give me an estimate). When he arrived with his crew of teenagers he said he didn?t use ?Mexicans?. I was immediately offended and told him my family included a Peruvian landscaper so he should stop talking. Anytime I went outside I was told how much work there was to be done. I reminded him that he estimated the work the week before and nothing had changed. <br /> The second day, he brought different teenagers to work. I had two downed trees from the hurricane that <br /> I had removed and Mike said he wouldn?t grind the stumps would cut out the exposed roots and trim down the stump so I wouldn?t notice. That was not done. He merely dumped rocks around the area and when I asked about it he said he never said he could cut anything back. (I had other estimates that included removing stumps and I would not have had him do the work if I knew this was his plan). I also could see from my upstairs window that there were spots were they didn't put down landscape fabric and just dumped the rocks. When I pointed it out to Mike he said it was a miscommunication between the guy laying the fabric and the one putting in the rocks. I randomly moved rocks and found many spots where there was no landscape fabric under the rocks or mulch. That seems to be more than a miscommunication! ? it?s just sloppy work. <br /> On the 3rd day while Mike was out to pick up more supplies I watched the guys work. One was bringing the rocks up to the bed and the other two were supposed to spread them out. One stood leaning on a rake and the other was sitting on a bench while the guy moving the rocks had to go to the driveway (I mention this because anyone who is paying time and materials and <br /> not by the job will be getting guys who don?t work very hard). After three days and an incomplete job Mike said he was coming back to finish on Saturday but wanted to be paid. I agreed to pay him and hold back 5% in case the job wasn?t finished. I came home Saturday evening to an incomplete job with tools and coolers left on my property. I never heard back from him <br /> and I would highly recommend against using this contractor. With the new growing season I have weeds coming up everywhere and its very evident where the landscape fabric is missing. I hired a new landscaper this year that added fabric where it was missed and remulched for a lower price and in much less time. I should have realized that when there are multiple bad reviews that a contractor has to respond to ? there is a bigger issue there and it isn?t the customers fault. <br />

"I remember doing this work for this customer in extreme heat, her beds where up a large hill, we had to carry over 20 tons of stone up this hill back in forth in extreme heat and when we left this job, I meet w this customer after spending extra time not expected to finish job. And the customer seemed very satisfied with the job we had done to this point. We then finished the last 5 percent of job on Saturday and when we left everything was clean all material was in place.. Let me also say when we arrived at this property she had told me she had trouble getting anybody to do this work because of the condition of the yard with weeds as large as trees, and large, large amounts. After completion this work my 5 guys and I agreed that we probably worked harder on this job to complete then we have in over 15 years due to condition of property when we arrived. So for the customer to be not satisfied is completely shocking to myself and to my crew we work each and every time w the customer in mind and is if when are doing the work for our own homes.. Wow! Mike and his crew did a great job. They just did my patio and did a fantastic job. It was easy to schedule the work with Mike and he kept to the price he quoted. Before that, he installed shrubs for my home which also came out great. I am now going to have him and his crew work on other landscaping projects and recommend him to anyone with landscaping needs. <br />

Schultz Landscaping was alright. It was adequate. It was not great, it was good and he did what he said he would. I like that I didn't have to do it, it was just heavy and dirty work. It wasn't as professional in interaction as I'm used to having with folks. He showed up without any paper or documentation at the house. It wasn't as structured as I'm used to. They did alright, with all that's said and done, they did what we asked them to.
