Schultz Roofing

Left my family in a dangerous situation. I'll explain Hired Marvin Shultz and his wife to put on a new roof due to hair damage. The roof was put on in 2days and unfortunately there was no post inspection which would have caught a few things. None of my exhaust vents are re attached. The furnace exhaust and the hot water heater exhaust was left open and created a health hazard as harmful carbon monoxide was spewing in my attic. Keep in mind hundreds of people die each year due to hurried roofers not reconnected pipes that vent to the roof. Also my roof around chimney area was not sealed properly so it leaked and caused damage. Mr Marvin Schultz has yet to respond to my calls and basically refused to Assist me. Beware this guy is not going to respond if something goes wrong. Terrible business and fraudulent.

He explains everything in great detail, which is what we were looking for in a roofer, no "used car salesman" tactics. Chai is also very knowledgeable with roofing and home improvement. They make a great team and we will be using them again!! We have some upcoming home improvement projects and we will be using them again. I highly recommend them 100%!!

Price-wise, they were middle of the road -- not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. I liked the fact that I was dealing with the owners of the company, so I thought their responsiveness would be better than an employee working for a company. During the hiring process, they were indeed responsive, answering questions and getting back to me in a timely manner. However, once they were hired, and half the payment had been made, their responsiveness went downhill in a hurry! While the job was being performed and afterwards, they always had an excuse for not providing a status, or keeping their appointments. The excuses ranged from a lost phone, to a hacked phone account (because of WhatsApp), to a flat tire, etc.... For all I know, these were true and valid excuses, but just the fact that they could not keep their promises, just made them look very unprofessional, especially when they wouldn't even call to cancel an appointment. Once the job was finished, and before the final payment was made, it was discovered that a gutter had been damaged, and their roofer confirmed that they were at fault for the damaged gutter. So, I had a conversation with Mr. Schultz, where he promised that "tomorrow before 10AM, I'll send you pictures" confirming that the gutter had been fixed; he was also requesting that the full payment be settled so he could pay his roofer. I kept my part of the deal, and paid in full -- big mistake. It was a mistake because, to this day (a couple of weeks later) the gutter and one torn shingle are still in the same situation. I always get the same answer from Mr. Schultz, promising it will be fixed, but no-one ever shows up to fix the problem. I gave up on them, so I'm having the torn shingle and gutter fixed by a third party. If you decide to hire Schultz Roofing, DO NOT make a full payment until all the work has been completed, even when they tell you how badly they need to pay their sub-contractors. Otherwise, you risk having an incomplete job.

Quality work in a timely fashion

Was a great company for roofing. My neighbor worked in the electrical and drywall. He knows more about this then me said they did it right. Took off all the felt to see if any wood was bad and replaced. They also built a great patio cover for me. With a roof you always buy before seeing a finished product. One thing I wanted in a company was clear information on what was going to happen the day it was done. They told me what would happen and did follow through. I can say more then I would recommend them as I have recommended them to others.

Marvin helped us replace our roof after it was damaged by hail. He worked with the insurance providers and made sure we got the best roof. He was reasonably priced and made sure he went above and beyond in satisfying my needs. Marvin is responsive to requests and makes you comfortable. This is my second job with him, the previous one was a hauling job, and I would hire him again.

Schultz Roofing was the first roofing company who agreed to come out within two hours on Sunday. I was very impressed with their response time and frequent communications via text. By the time I arrived, they had already spoken to the tenant and had accessed the roof to zero in on the leak. They used top notch sealer to seal the leak, and even sealed some extra areas on the roof as a preventative. They were respectful and their charges were very reasonable. I would have graded them even higher if they would have stocked the high quality sealer on their truck (avoiding an extra trip), even if they would have charged a little more for their services. I am critical, so I would have graded higher as well if they would have accessed the attic, to double ensure that the leak was pinpointed, and to access the damage in the attic. Of course i understand that this would have required a little higher charge, but i would have felt more comfortable. i accesed the attic to be sure of the pinpointing. Although very professional in all communications, more professional appearance would have been a plus as well. Their invoicing was prompt and high tech. I greatly appreciated their service and would rehire based on this experience. They also will do light hauling/junk removal.

Everything was great ! I was given pictures step by step of repair done on my roof which gave me piece of mind that the replacement was done correctly. I wasn't left wondering if everything was installed new cause I had the pics. sent directly to my by email and text ! I would definitely recommend Schultz roofing to anyone needing a roof replacement !

These are super nice people that take great pride in their work. They were diligent to ensure our satisfaction prior to accepting the final payment and they did the whole roof from tear off to new in one day. They were patient with us during the decision making process and I have absolutely zero regrets in my decision to go with Schultz roofing. I would definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to anyone I know. On another note, if you take a little time to get to know them not only are they very nice and funny people, but they have huge hearts and goals to give back. A pleasure to work with.
