Excellent. No more tracking mud into the basement. They did nice side walls so that the dirt could be filled in there, which it needed

We had work done on the stone patio around our pool. He also did drainage work around an area of our house that often floods. It has really made an incredible difference! Especially with all the rain we have had this year! I am so grateful to Sal and his workers! I would highly recommend their company!

Sal and his crew built a beautiful flagstone patio for my family this past July. His work is superb, he is a wonderful person and very accommodating and easy to communicate with. He has very high standards for his work and a pride in his craftsmanship that is very old-school and refreshing in this day and age. I cannot recommend him and his crew highly enough for any project that you may have. We could not be more satisfied. Brian Comotto

Filled in and removed the planters, fixed the structure of the wall and added proper drainage and dressed the wall with beautiful stone capped with bluestone. The finished product is gorgeous. We are very pleased and would hire again. Mr . Di Fatta was extremely professional and very responsive to our needs.

Mr. DiFatta and his team came right on time and started to work immediately. They took up the old broken sidewalk and the broken piece of driveway and hauled away the debris. We had another individual come in with a mobile stump/root grinder to take out the tree roots which caused the damage in the first place. Unfortunately, this person did NOT do a good job, but Mr. DiFatta's crew stepped up and finished the root job and hauled away the debris from that as well. They put in a base of gravel and poured the concrete after the framework was put in place. Beautiful work and thoroughly professional. They even replaced the dirt on the sides of the walkway and seeded it and covered it with straw. We are thrilled with the results. Our costs were a little more than first quoted because of the extra work caused by the poor service of the stump grinder guy, but I still think it was well worth the cost.

Mr. Di Fatta and his sons removed the old bricks, cleaned out the salt deposits, poured new concrete with steel reinforcements, and laid new bricks. All very professional. The walkway looks great and I am very pleased with the results. Excellent value for the money.

Response was prompt and excellent discussion about the problem and the solutions. Work was then done within a very reasonable amount of time and the work seems to have been done well. The price was higher than other bid but I preferred the explanations and the extent of the job which exceeded the description given by other contractors.

Beautifully! Sal wrote a very detailed proposal, defining how his work would enhance the walkways, including reducing the mortar joints' width and realigning the concrete base so as to facilitate water's draining rather than standing on the walk. Over 12 days, he, two of his sons, and a very experienced crew worked steadily to make the proposal reality. I couldn't be more pleased.

I called DiFatta Masonry contractors and Sal (the owner) came out the very next day. He was very thorough and explained that the stucco failure was caused by improper drainage around the basement steps. He explained exactly how it would be fixed and what needed to done to correct the drainage problem. His crew showed on time on the scheduled date, did an excellent job and were very polite and professional. I was very pleased with the price, attention to detail and quality of workmanship. I would hire this company again.

Sal and his crew removed and reset sections of my patio to slope it away from the house, installed a drain to catch the new water flow, repaired and rebuilt my window wells, and repointed sections of the front walk and the basement stairs. This house was built in 1940, and Sal was meticulous about matching the old brick and mortar. Most importantly, Sal explained exactly what his crew would do at each stage of the project. When I questioned a particular part of the work, we discussed it so that I understood his proposed solution and he understood my concerns. His crew were friendly and polite, they cleared away the debris every day, and they were always on time. I would certainly hire them again.

We had a foundation issue that caused the brick façade on the front of our house to separate. It looked terrible. We had the foundation repaired, but the brick was to far damaged to go back into place. The first estimate we received, the mason told me they would have to remove the entire façade of the front of the house and reconstruct it all at a cost of $20,000, which was terrifying. Sal came to the house and told me that person was trying to rip me off and he would only need to repair the portions that were affected and could do so for $3000. The day they came to do the repairs he asked if we'd like them to repair our front stoop which had a corner chipped off. We were thrilled they could do that too and said yes. This upped our cost only a few hundred dollars. Everyone was super professional and friendly and the work was done in less than 2 full days, we didn't have to be there at all when they were working, so it didn't affect our work day. We're so happy with the work, you can't tell there was ever a problem to begin with, they did such a good job. I'd definitely hire them again and have been recommending them to people looking to have brick work done.

Sal knew immediately what the issue was and promptly scheduled an appointment to come look at the front porch. During the discussion I also mentioned that we had periodic leaking along the front wall of our house, which occurred only after days of heavy rains. Sal proposed that we had two issues to fix. First, he said that we needed a a membrane placed on the front porch underneath the stone in order to seal that whole area. He also found that the front porch step was too high, which is against code, and said that they would lower it during the corrective process. Second, he pointed out that the grading had settled on the front wall post-new construction and it needed to be re-graded (the periodically leaky wall). He scheduled the work a month or so later and it took a few days to complete. The stones from the front porch were removed and cleaned, and the membrane was put in place. He mentioned that he found two holes under the porch where water was leaking. After the porch was sealed, the stones were reassembled and the the grouting was redone and was much improved over the original construction. Second, the plants were cut down in the area that need to be regraded (we knew this would have to be done) and additional dirt was well packed along the edge of the wall creating a nice grade away from the house. We replanted this fall. Another piece of advice they offered but said we could do ourselves if we preferred, was to add dirt along a couple of walls around the house that had settled over time. There were no leaks associated with that settling but we could clearly see that it needed to be done. So we completed that job. We completed that job ourselves. DiFatta's work was very good and our leaks are now fixed! We did a little more sealing on the threshold of the door to make it completely watertight. This is the FIRST time since we built the house that the front porch hasn't leaked! They were reliable, honest and completed the job on time. There were minimal hassles and Sal worked hard to communicate every step of the way. We would definitely use them again.

We are very happy with the quality of their work. Over 5 days (plus a cleanup day), they completely pulled my front steps apart and put them back together. Many of the stones in my steps were cracked or crumbling, so they brought a big pile of large slabs. They had a rock saw, and they were able to cut the slabs to fit like jigsaw puzzles on each step. They used concrete to anchor the slabs and cement to fill between them. The guys who did all this were punctual and easygoing. The last day a couple of them came back to clean up and fix any imperfections. The only thing they asked of us was a power source; I left an electrical extension on the porch plugged to an inside jack. We would certainly hire them for any other projects in their line.
