Seci Construction

ALERT!! BEWARE!!! Seci Construction charges $192 per sheet of plywood when other companies charge only $90-$100 per sheet. However, this is not clearly evident when you sign the proposal because it is stated at the end of the contract as a note that any rotten wood found in the deck area will be charged at a rate of $6/sqft. So first you will need to know that one sheet of plywood is 32 sqft, and then you will have to do the math yourself $6x32=$192. All other companies which I’ve gotten quotes from all clearly state how much they charge per sheet of plywood on the first page of the proposal. Once you sign the contract you are agreeing and legally binded to the $6/sqft rate that Seci charges no matter how many sheets of plywood you need to replaced and this is an unknown variable that you will not know until all the old shingles and other roofing material have been removed from your roof. You might need to replace 10, 20, or 100 sheets of plywood which was the case for my house. The original quote for new roof and gutters for my house was $17,590. After they removed all the shingles on my roof they said I need to replace all the plywood which will cost an additional $19,200!!! ($192x100=$19,200). In the end they gave me a $1000 discount bringing the cost down to $18,200, gee thanks! If I have used a different company I would only have to pay $9000 ($90x100=$9000). Please keep in mind that once the old roof shingles are removed from your roof you are stuck with the roofing company. You are not able to back out of the contract you signed. I tried negotiating with Seci and even provided them with evidence that other roofing companies only charge $90-$100 per sheet of plywood but they refused to reduce their price. So in the end I paid $17,590 + $18,200 = $35,790 for a new roof. I definitely DO NOT recommend Seci Construction and I hope something like this will not happen to anyone else again. Other reputable roofing companies that I’ve spoken to and would recommend are : Matute Roofing, Blue Nail Exterior, Carpenter’s Touch. Beware, good luck, and take care to all!

The owner came out, walked around my house and inspected the roof . Gave me a written estimate ,told me exactly what he was going to do. They came out and turned out that I needed new plywood on half the roof. 40 new sheets. I was very upset. Eddie, the owner was very understanding and gave me a reasonable price below what the contract called for. They finished the work in one day. Cleaned up all the mess covered all the fascia boards, replaced all the rotten wood around the eaves. They did a great job. The roof and the house looks amazing. I'd recommend him to anybody

We needed a new roof in days not weeks and we were getting quoted sky high prices. Seci Construction not only came in with the lowest bid from a master elite roofer but they set us up to start work in days not weeks. When it was raining heavily on the day we picked, Seci Construction came in on the next day, a Sunday, to get the work done. When it started to drizzle on Sunday, they kept putting on the roofing through the rain. Cesi Construction will tell you to be there when they do the work and they are right. Once the shingles came up, Cesi Construction offered to replace all of our 3/8" panels with 1/2" panels. This would have doubled the price of the job, so we checked the state code and found that 3/8" was good enough, so we said to stick with what we had, and there was no argument. Cesi Construction worked two days, started on a Sunday, worked through the rain, and got us a brand new beautiful roof.

I originally rated them much higher. Shingles were replaced. Parts of flashing were not replaced and one of two leaks occurred again

It went wonderful! They are very courteos and professional. They are very good. Their workmanship is excellent. Seci Family was very very nice and will treat you like a family. I really recommend them to anyone. The owner himself came out personally to give us estimates.

I left a message with Seci to inquire about a quote to replace my roof. Keith got back to me the same day and we made an appointment for an estimate. Keith came to the house and thoroughly explained the roofing system. I knew this would be a big and pricey job as my roof had the original cedar roof plus 2 or 3 layers of asphalt shingles...and it all had to go. I got quite a few quotes for the roof. Seci wasn't the cheapest, but wasn't the most expensive either. I felt their pricing was competitive and had a good feeling about the service they would provide. Achilles came out and did a walk through and we moved forward with scheduling the job. On the day the work was to start, the crew was at the house by 7:30 am. They worked 12 hour days and were very efficient with their time. Achilles and Keith were always available for questions and checked on the job regularly. After the gutters were installed, they made sure I was satisfied with the entire job.

Excellent service, workmanship and clean up. Very happy with them.

We were amazed how efficient the team was. They stripped off the old roof and  put on the new one in one  day as promised. They cleaned up the property of the old roof and used a magnet device to pick up the nails (there were  soo many as you can imagine.)The crew was very polite and  we already contracted this company to  do a masonry job. <br />

We needed the roof ripped off down to the boards.  The contractor stated they had to change boards but all was included in my price.  They showed up on time as stated and with a big crew,that were knowledgeable.  The roof was ripped off quickly and they immediately got to reroofing.I walked around the house with the contractor and everything looked great and they did a greatjob cleaning up afterwards. The gutters look great as well, love the seamless look.

They brought a lot of man power for the large job.  It is a dirty job and they cleaned up very well.  Any issues that I had, they took care of.  They are very professional.  I would highly recommend them.

This is the best construction and roofing company that I have ever come across. This was an emergency situation and they came out immediately and worked quickly. They are reasonably priced. They didn't take advantage of a bad situation. They are outstanding.
