"Upon changing a couple of light fixtures it was discovered that one of the fixtures were done improperly. We had to open the wall to re run wires and repair the deywall like we were never there. Now all this customer has to do is paint. Taking away the headache of having to find a drywall repair person. The drywall had to be repaired before the light fixture could have been installed. We were more than happy to help out. Thank you for the review and the opportunity."
"These needy customers be killing me. To all future customers! ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING and H.V.A.C are the highest trades to hire. PLEASE keep in mind that our overhead to run this kind of business is crazy-expensive. For the most part, Angie's List is free for the end-user, unless you want to be matched with the best technicians then they charge you a small FEE. Contractors have to PAY. PERIOD! Some more than others. These customers be lying when they call us contractors. This customer told me he need a light fixture install and the outdoor light needs to be looked at! Ok. The light fixture is a Easy install he said because he tried installing it and couldn't figure it out. How is it easy when you couldn't figure it out? The stuff they say to US for a low price over the phone and when you get there its something totally different. I was quick and efficient because this is what I do. I gave you a low ball price because I was trying to give you a deal IF you was paying cash. Now you pull out your check book it's the regular rate plus tax. So I have to pay my overhead, I showed up with my helper, I have to pay him and pay your taxes. At that rate it's better we shut down our business or find better paying customers. These customers with their big fancy house and all these electrical issues don't want to pay us for our services and experience. Angie's List your customer are trying to run us out of business or break up our long lasting relationship."
"Thank you for the opportunity and the review. I appreciate your business. This customer needed 2 jobs to be done. Check faulty wiring and install a new device. No problem. We set up the appointment, I got there; I was in and out. Job done ✅ ?"
"Thank you for the opportunity and the review. I appreciate your business. I got a message from this customer. She need some technical assistance with her clothes dryer outlet installation. First 2 questions to all customers are, which city do you live in and how is the parking in your neck of the woods. I tried to gather as much information so I can get the right stuff which didn’t go according to plan. So I had to go back to the Home Depot to get the right parts. The customer wanted to hook up her own dryer, so once I was done I started picking her brain to see if she was on the right path. She was but I told her it would be better if I made the connections in that way we eliminate the guess work. In the end everything went find and according to plan. ?"
"Great customers easy to work for. Due to covid - 19 we are a bit busy with a ton of service calls and we know first hand that the wait time can be VERY LONG before a technician get to you, so we put customers on a schedule roster in that way they know that we will be responding. Because of that schedule roster we have to make sure the job a is done right and the customer is satisfied before we move onto the next customer. So whatever it takes to get the job done this is what we are doing PERIOD! I’m happy I could have been of great service to you guys. Thank for the opportunity and the review; I truly do appreciate your business."
"This customer reaches out to me at a time when I’m extremely busy. The cool thing is they were flexible and easy to work with. Thank you for reaching out. Thank you for the opportunity and the review. I truly do appreciate your business ??"
"Great customer! Stand up guy! Hands down! I got a call from this customer about the many electrical issues he was having in his house. I had him send me a text so I can see what it looks like in print. My next question to him was do you have any power in that house?!?! At that point I was interested. It took me 2 and a half hours to temporarily restore the kitchen lights. I couldn’t leave the customer in the dark with the kitchen being one of the busiest area of the house. I had to cut into the wall to run my new circuit but right now we are offering the wall repair as a complete package; in that way you don’t have a bunch of people running through your house and charge you the mark up on the same work. Thank you for the review and the opportunity. ?. See you soon"
"Thank you for the review and the opportunity. This customer is in the process of selling his house. A home inspector notice a few things that needed to be Rectify with the electrical wiring before the selling process can be final. I went in, did my job, save the customer a ton of money and kept it moving. Thank you again for the review. See you on the next project ?"
"Thank you for the review. I appreciate the opportunity. Great customer. Easy to work for. The order was simple. Remove old light fixtures and install new ones. I gave the customer a price he agreed, Job done...."
"This nice lady gave me a challenge, she needed a GFCI outlet underneath the kitchen sink to accommodate a new dishwasher. This was one s*** job meaning it is very difficult to put a out in the wall under the sink once the kitchen counter is set. Once I figured out how I was going to run the wire the job was almost done. Once we were done cutting into her walls we repaired it back to its original state like we were never... we do this so customers can go back to their lives and their space not looking like and Eye soar and having a whole bunch of people running through their house during this pandemic. That definitely works out and the customers appreciate the thoughtfulness of the service. Thank you for the review and the opportunity. See you on the next project"
"Thank you the opportunity. I appreciate your business. This customer called me while i was doing a service call. He had to wait almost the whole day because I was busy with a customer. Lucky for me, he understood! I guess I was worth the wait. Although I might not be able to be there right away but I will be on time. You have my contact information. Call me anytime. I’ll come running ??"
"This customer right here is the life blood of every business. "reoccurring customer"... really nice guy and a pleasure to work for. Thank you for the opportunity and the review. I really do appreciate your business. This is COVID - 19 times right now, from my family to ours. Stay safe out there."
"This customer was worried about some in the electrical panel. I show up, we had the conversation about what his needs were; I grabbed my tools and went to work. Done deal. Thank you for the opportunity and the review. I appreciate your business. See you on the next project ?"
"This is another episode of what I like to call WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN EXPECTING... customers know what they want but they don’t know what it take to bring their conversation and ideas to LIFE. We live in a world of possibilities, anything is possible and we can have anything we want if we are willing to pay for it. So I know you want this but this is what it will take and this is what it will cost. I will give you a few minutes for that to soak in. Once you figure out you want to move forward let’s get the job done and we did. Thank you for the opportunity and the review.... I appreciate your patience and your business. See you on the next project ?"
"I want to talk to customers until I turn blue in face about their electrical needs and the price of what they are requesting. YES I understand you want that and this is what it will take and this is what it will cost. “The cost of the material is the cost of the material. I can and will give you a deal on the cost of the labor but that’s about the only thing I have control over. I can not and will not do ANY shortcuts. This has to be done up to CODE even though for me that means the job will be harder or longer. IT IS WHAT IT IS. With that being said, let suit up and get the job done which we did. Thank you for the opportunity and the review. I appreciate your patience and your business. See you on the next project ?"
"The reason why I love doing this, just to see the customers reaction. You know, when you call a electrical contractor, one is expecting him to show up in a work truck, right?!?!.... not me! I’m pulling up in a little car. I love first time customers because they don’t know what to expect but they trust their gut because I’m affiliated with the site they hire me from. In this customers case! They new home came creatively wired. They wanted a quote on what it would cost them to rectify the minor issue they were facing before moving in. So I assured them the best way for me to give them the best numbers is to purchase a service call. They paid me in cash so I gave them a brake on the price. After checking the whole house from top to bottom. I check floor by floor; room by room. I wrote down everything that was at fault. I handed them the information they paid for, then I gave them the true cost of the labor base upon what was in front of me."
"Thank you for the review and the opportunity. I appreciate your business. [Member Name Removed] was very easy to work for. She told me what her needs were, and got out of my way so I can do my job. I troubleshoot the power to her unit and I repaired the issues she was having with her electricity. I got to save her a lot of time and money. The look on her face was the best part of me doing these types of service calls. Within 1 hour I told her I was done, issues repair and the cost was the price of the service call plus the repair which was way less than trying to rewire her house which wasn’t needed."
"I got a request from Miss [Member Name Removed] stating that she needed a 50 circuit for her electric car; so she purchased my 2 hour deal. I responded at my earliest stating that what she wanted would not take 2 hours and there is a short waiting list because I am very busy. She told me she will find someone else, I told her I apologize for being so straight forward but she has to know what to expect when expecting. I got a message 2 days later asking when can I come out to do a site survey. We set up the time and day so we can go over her job. I arrived at the address, I meet [Member Name Removed] who was very easy going. She showed me her electric car and the reason for me being there. Her car was plugged into a 110V - 20AMP circuit which takes forever to bring the car to full charge. She said Phaenehas!, this current way for charging my car have got to go! So we walked around her property checked everything because where she need the power and where the power was coming from was a bit tricky. The main panel was downstairs in the basement towards the front of the house. Where she needed the power was in the garage at the back of the house. It took me 2 hours to figure out the best course of action for this job. She had power in garage but that system wasn’t designed to accommodate what she wanted to do so I told her I will give her a more sophisticated job for the same price. (Who does that by the way... lol) I wasn’t going to charge that customer just to run 1 circuit without there being any redundancy; so I run her a new service to the garage. Increase the AMPS and change the old electrical panel. So she got a better panel that can handle her future needs when that needs arise, her 50AMP charging station and we fix some electrical issues in the garage that wasn’t associated with the job. The job was a 2 day job. I brought a whole team to the job so we could be done in one day which we did. So with the extra time we had, we just fix that trouble circuit really quick. She was happy! We was happy to make her happy."
"Thank you for choosing Select Electrical Services LLC Thank you for the review and the opportunity We appreciate your business"
"Thank you for the review, I appreciate the opportunity. I screen home owners the same way they do contractors, but what got me interested in helping out this customer is she wanted to hire even after reading my most famous “BAD REVIEW”... she told me she went threw my profile and read my reviews and noticed that the negative review was just a customer being unreasonable; from that point I was eager to help out! She told me about all the work she needed done on her house, she told me I should come over to do a site survey to see if it’s something that I would be interested in. I went to take a look at the job and saw that there was really a lot of work to be done. We agreed on a per day rate (labor only). The customer agreed to purchase any and all the materials need for the job, in that way I can focus on doing the best possible job without worrying about the extra material cost and what isn’t used they are FREE to return back to the supply house. The first job I was hired for, I haven’t really touched it yet. The customer showed me their out dated kitchen that needed to be rewired; the thing was the kitchen needed to be demoed. Although I don’t offer my demolition skills to customer, there was so much electrical work involved in that demo job I was the best person to handle that task. I gave them a price to do the demo, they were super accommodating, they even help out; which helped out. As soon as the demo was done, it was now time to visit the rough electrical layout of the new kitchen. The husband is very handy, he knows a great deal about the general information but he still wanted my professional opinion about what he was trying to accomplish. I listen to what he wanted and how he wanted to do it and I said, we are not doing that. ?. I will give you want you want but this is how we are going to do it. Since you now have open walls, you will be getting a more sophisticated job. The circuit distribution in that kitchen is crazy; everything as it own delicate circuit breaker, meaning: zero interruptions when the kitchen is 100 active. They now have a circuit just for inside lights?. They have a circuit just for outside lights. No outlets and lights are tied in together under the same circuit breaker this is how circuits become overloaded. All their new appliances will have its own circuit breaker at the right amperes to protect those devices. The existing flood lights? were wired poorly so I had to undo everything, run the wires through the walls, reconnect the lights, add more lights and switches then test everything to make sure that the system works according to plan. All in All the customer is very pleased and satisfied with the outcome of my recommendation in upgrading their wiring to a more sophisticated method. I still have a lot more work to do for this customer.... see you guys soon.... ??"
"Thank you for the review. I appreciate the opportunity. I see I didn’t get a rating for professionalism. I was in contact with this customer back and fourth for about 2 weeks. I even gave her a very cheap rate for what she needed [Member Information Removed] get done. The day of the job I arrived on time as always but [Member Information Removed] my surprise there is no parking... I was like, so for the pass 2 weeks you couldn’t tell me there isn’t any parking so I can plan appropriately, meaning bring help, someone especially [Member Information Removed] watch my car. This customer wanted me [Member Information Removed] leave my tool bag with her, with all my tools plus the cost of that bag, which is worth $2,000!....she wanted me [Member Information Removed] park my car 20 blocks away from the property and leave her my tools; for a $100 job; I am not doing that. I told her [Member Information Removed] make friends with her neighbors, ask someone if I can obstruct their driveway for about 20min, which is how long the job took me anyway. I was not able [Member Information Removed] fix her issue because the outlet in question had NO POWER. She need a new line from the basement [Member Information Removed] the first floor. So for a 20min, I charged her $50 and now I had [Member Information Removed] walk 40 blocks at 8pm.... nah, help me help you. My car and tools makes me who I am so they have [Member Information Removed] stay close. I don’t need the money or the negative energy."
"Thank you for the REVIEW and for CHOOSING Select Electrical Services LLC to assist you with your electrical issue at your time of need; we appreciate the opportunity to serve you and your family. See you on the next project"
