Poor communication. Overcharged for work completed. Terrible experience.

They tried to get our employees to complete work that was not part of the scope, they kept adding work to the job and then did not want to pay for the additional work even though there were contracts in place. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Angie's List needs a no star option. If you need asbestos abatement go to anyone else. These people are sloppy, play fast and loose with estimates and figures and given the chance will overcharge and under deliver. We contracted for a single job that was reduced in scope after we found out that much of what we thought was"hot" had been labeled that way in error. In spite of a reduction of 54% of the total work they still billed us for the full job. Then, to add insult to injury, during their work they found an additional area that had been exposed to moisture and become moldy. But instead of notifying us while they still had containment set up, they had our air clearance test done, pulled containment and then told me we needed additional remediation. This resulted in nearly ten-thousand dollars in additional man-hours that could have been avoided had they done things differently. Then they sent us a bill with no credit for the reduced scope of work and refused to provide a detailed statement on my request. To top it off, their, office management is sloppy and disorganized and their "office manager", Kelli, is about as rude as they come and I have her emails to prove it. Asbestos abatement is a serious and expensive undertaking. Be cautious who you hire. Consider this a warning about an unscrupulous business that will screw you if they can! PS: I want to add their actual laborers worked hard and were polite and professional. It's the integrity, responsiveness, and professionalism of their management that's the problem.

"Select Environmental is a professional company and the simple fact that 99% of our reviews on any social media are 5 stars should speak for itself. This disgruntled customer changed the scope of work several times, was difficult to work with, tried to strong arm the employees into completing work that was not part of the scope and simply did not want to pay for the contracted work. Per this customer's statement, "PS: I want to add their actual laborers worked hard and were polite and professional". It would be unlikely for the company as a whole not to be professional if our employees are so great. We are a company where integrity and honesty still count!"

While replacing our floors should have been an easy task, we were beyond bummed to learn that our old linoleum contained asbestos. Begrudgingly, I started calling around to get quotes on abatement and called Select Environmental on the recommendation of a friend of mine. Despite the fact that asbestos removal wasn't in my budget, I simply could not be more pleased to have found Blake and his team. From the outset, they were fast, timely, upfront, honest, and their pricing was fair. When an appointment was made for 8AM, my doorbell would ring at 7:59AM. His workers were efficient, meticulous, and courteous. By the end of our project, I almost longed to discover more asbestos so that I could use Blake and his team again. All kidding aside, I highly recommend Select Environmental and will use them again should the need arise.

A++. The first thing that comes to mind is integrity, honesty, excellent communication, positive attitude, superior customer service and personal relationships with each of their workers and with the owner. On price, others were higher.

Blake and his team were punctual, professional but friendly, responsive, answered all my questions and concerns, and were reasonably priced. What more can you ask for? The work was completed and passed clearance in the time frame that was promised. Great people and company to work with. <br />

<p>Last week I had all the HVAC ducts in my attic removed. They were clad with deteriorating “friable” asbestos. When the problem was uncovered Blake and Matt from Select Environmental came to inspect my house. They gave clear explanations for what needed to be done. A competitor tried to scare me into doing significantly more work at over twice cost. I wanted to buy this house and the asbestos problem came up on the home inspection. So I needed to quickly figure out which company was right. I called two other companies not in this area to get their recommendations. They both agreed with Blake.</p> <p>Select Environmental did a great job. They kept me informed throughout the process and even took out an additional transite pipe for free. I would not hesitate to use then again or to recommend them for any asbestos related work.</p> <br />
