The first visit out was great. I thought the tech, Shaun, was knowledgable and professional. He told me it was a leak and since he couldn't locate it at that visit, he would put a UV dye in and easily locate it later. He recommended a follow up not earlier than 3 weeks, no later than 6 weeks. I made an appt the next day for 3 weeks later. No show. I called and the receptionist she said she'd call me right back. She didn't. A week later and I had a new appt. no show again. A few days later I had yet a new appointment made. Third no-show. They called me this evening and offered to have a tech come tonight. He showed up! The tech couldn't fix the problem tonight. I'll be using another company to complete my repairs.

They started in June 2017 and didn’t finish until November 2017. They sent four different crews for the initial install with a different crew chief each time. No one on site knew what the crew the previous day had done. None knew what was agreed to in the contract. What was supposed to take 3 days took 6 months to get correct. During that time I had the drain system on the unit malfunction, over flow and ruin my hardwood floor. They refused to pay for the repair on my floor. When the thermostat they installed malfunctioned, the service rep sent to repair it admitted to damaging the system. Then he wanted to charge me $500 to fix the system and another $400 for a new thermostat. They installed a duct line that was to feed 5 registers, three of these were downstairs. Two were in the master bedroom/bath. I had dampers installed at the unit so I could close down the air to downstairs as we spend 90% of our time upstairs. I couldn’t close this damper as the master bedroom would get no air. It took them three days to fix. They were 3-4 hours late every time they came to the house. Now the unit is not functioning correctly (low airflow and it’s not cold) and I can’t get a hold of anyone from Service All-Stars. They hire students during their busy season who no very little about heating and cooling installs.

Tim came out and said I need a new thermostat and installed one. I paid $230.00 on April 12 for the new thermostat. It is supposed to have a 5 year warranty. On April 23rd, I called them to let them know the furnace isn't working. They sent someone out on April 27th to look at the furnace again. The technician said I need a blower motor. They returned on April 28th and took out the blower motor from the furnace. They were taking it to the manufacturer for replacement under warranty. Finally on May 11th Sal called and said the blower motor had come in and it is under warranty. We agreed that the installation would happen on 5/24/18. Tim was supposed to be here between 8:00-9:00. He has not showed up and when I called the number I do have, I was told he doesn't do customer service and he would have someone call me right away. No one has called me. I have been without heat and air since April 23rd.

It was pretty hot that day. He was very patient. He found the problem right away. He fixed the problem right away. He offered to look at a smaller unit that we weren’t having any problem with, just to make sure that it was ok. He was very professional and I liked him a lot.

One of the few companies open on a Saturday afternoon for a call. They were unable to come out that day, but scheduled for 8-10 am on Monday. A little after 8 the service technician, Patrick, called to advise he'd arrive in about an hour, which he did. Service was fast and Patrick was courteous. This was a quick small repair, and while I probably could have saved a lot of money doing it myself calling them saved me time and hassle.

It was a bit of a problem for All Stars to work the replacement motor because they had to work with the warranty with the manufacturer which is not one they normally work with. And campaign, the only facility was in Anaheim California, some distance from my home in Torrance California. It cause them some extra work to get the job done, but they did get it done. Note colon all stars did not install the original furnace and I would recommend against buy a night and day furnace based on my experience. I had a Rheem furnace before that lasted 39 years and I very much wish that I had stayed with Rheem.

Conclusion: I paid Service All-Stars a total of $874 to correct my non-venting wall furnace heater; however, after THREE failed attempts, Service All-Stars DID NOT resolve my wall furnace heater venting issue; also DID NOT replace the venting unit with all new parts as described in written agreement, resulting in me having to contract another service provider to correct my wall furnace heater venting problem. On October 21, 2016, the NATE certified heating and cooling technician repaired the venting system properly and on November 18 2016, the Gas Company returned to my home and confirmed that my heater is now venting properly!! In conclusion, Service All-Stars left me and my family in a dangerous situation and did not correct the problem for which they were hired; therefore, I am demanding a full and immediate refund of $874.00.

<p>From the first visit to the last, the Service All Stars staff was punctual, polite, professional and very friendly.  Communication with Sal of Service All Stars was promptly responded to and questions answered.  Revisits to tidy up and explain functionality of new HVAC system also were on scheduled as promised.  Service All Stars personnel who came to our house were extremely helpful in explaining what actions they were about take on each visit.  </p> <p>The Service All Stars staff quickly removed our old furnace and A/C unit, along with complete removal of all our old duct work that was splitting open, resulting in our heating and cooling our attic space, costing us in excessive natural gas and electric services.  Each visit was well planned and staffed accordingly.</p> <p>We had visits from two other vendors who inspected our old system and provided quotes and timelines.  The quote from Service All Stars was approximately one-half what the other two vendors had given to us.  After talking with Sal of Service All Stars, I was convinced that their reviews would provide us with a quality contract while at the same time, saving us money.</p> <p>I would happily recommend Service All Stars to anyone who is considering replacement of old, out dated HVAC system, particularly home in Rancho Palos Verdes that are going on 30 years old.</p> <p>I give Service All Stars a five-star rating *****.</p>

Appreciated that they could schedule next day appointment. Got call that service tech would be late which was also appreciated. Went downhill from there. Tech called saying he couldn't find my building. Finally realized he was looking for my address in downtown Los Angeles instead of downtown Long Beach. Came after work hours which also was appreciated. Charged $300 which I later learned was at the top end of usual charges for replacing capacitor. I'd purchased an $89 deal, but forgot to remind tech to credit the $89 towards the $300 bill. Took 3 phone calls and almost 4 weeks to get check for $89.

Service Allstars said they would contact me later with an estimate. I didn't hear from them for four days and had to call repeatedly to receive an estimate. Finally I received a paper estimate via email. After two days trying to schedule installation they said they made a mistake with their estimate and that it would now be $8000 dollars more than what they originally quoted on a proposal. $8000 more is a lot of money and a big mistake (the total was then over $16,000). Felt very shady... Buyer beware.

Start date for our new HVAC system was to be 08/22/2016 - Their people showed up a week early expecting to start. We weren't ready then and told them to come back on the agreed upon (contract) date late. No one show up at all on 08/22, the agreed upon start. Project quoted as 3-4 days to complete. They pulled a bait and switch routine on the equipment to be installed, and then attempted to charge for equipment not installed at all. The workman were personable, but poorly trained and ill equipt. Never showed up on time except once - and that day they left early. Excuses and intimidation are the hallmarks of this company. After 2 months of excuses, we still had no properly functioning system, but that didn't stop them from trying to collect. I called the LA City Building Inspector to come look at their work and he found 12 code violations, without even going under the house. The list of violations and unsafe condition underneath was even worse. We fired Service Allstars and had another contractor attempt to complete the work. Among other things, it was discovered that the equipment SAS attempted to install was mismatched and had to be removed. New contractor, new equipment, two men, three days and it was done! Sal, from SAS had the temerity to call the company we hired to do what his people couldn't, and threaten them. First with legal action, and then physically, when they weren't intimidated. We've asked them repeatedly to remove their equipment from our property, but they can't even seem to manage that. According to the CA State Contractors License Board's website, their contractor's license expired on 10/31/ 2016, and yet they are still advertising and doing business. BEWARE!

First let me say that their service is truly exceptional!!  From the beginning Rudy was really informative.  He took his time to measure our house and let us know that sometimes the sq ft. of the house is increased by home owners because they include the garage as livable space and that can greatly affect determining the size of the unit.  We were very impressed by his presentation.  We looked up their reviews and we saw almost all of them to be in a positive light.  We understand that there is no company that has 100% positive reviews.  Rudy is a very likable person and thats what made us go with Service All-Stars for replacing our HVAC system.  We also needed a panel upgrade and they were able to recommend a very reasonably priced electrician to get that done as well.  The work was done in a reasonable time and manner.  From the beginning they respected our house and we had no instance of damage or anything like that.  I trust Rudy and his crew at Service All-Stars!!!  I would say their price is not the lowest but you get what you get.  They do use reputable equipment and I like the fact that they don't use cheap materials.  One example is the tape that they use provides a really good seal on all the ducts and when the HERS tester came he said that they had less then 5% duct leakage.  AWESOME!!!  I don't think any other company could have done a better job.  Thanks Service All-Stars
