My insurance company recommended Servpro, and they were excellent. They were timely in their response, worked with my schedule, were very thorough and professional, and worked diligently and efficiently while on site. I appreciated their heads-up phone calls when they were on their way to my home and their clear explanation of exactly what they were going to do. They checked on their drying equipment daily until it was complete. They cleaned up after themselves, leaving me in a position where my contractor could now begin the repairs. This is the second time I've used Servpro, and I have no reservations about recommending them.

I called Servpro of Chesapeake and they were very prompt. They immediately started to remove the water with extraction and setting up drying equipment.

I had Servpro come in to a house I inherited and all our communications were done via email or phone calls. <br /> The services were wonderful and with Allen Alewine as the manager of the services I had no fears the work wouldn't be done correctly the first time. I immediately trusted Allen in our first conversation. If Allen is an example of ServPro you can't go wrong.

"Servpro of Chesapeake follows IICRC S500 guidelines for water and mold mitigation, and if building materials are substantially wet to the point that prompt drying cannot be obtained, mold growth will begin to grow. As you said, “I called ServePro because I was concerned about mold and mildew forming between the first and second floor”, but did not let them do what you asked. Drying and mitigation is a science, and we, as well as insurance carriers, take this very serious, both for the occupants health and wellbeing, and to prevent further damage to the home. We must remove these materials for proper mitigation. All of our employees go through rigorous training of both Servpro training and IICRC offsite courses prior to becoming a technician, and able to perform mitigation and drying. Also, when you expressed your dissatisfaction to us, we removed our equipment an did not charge you."

They did a good job. They did it as painless as it could be. They were on top of the situation, they know exactly what to do and exactly where to look. They have been around that situation before and knew exactly what to do and that was impressive. I was just watching and saying, "Hmm, yeah. I never thought of that." They got the right tools to do what they needed to do. I think the price was definitely competitive.

The job itself was done well and promptly; however, when I asked for an estimate before the work was done, I was told that every job is different, and it would depend on how much chemical application was necessary, how long the crew needed to be there, etc. In other words, they preferred not to give an estimate. If we would have known their cost ($850) in advance, we might well have researched other options. Since we had no idea how radical the repair work would be, we also had no idea our payment to SERVPRO was only half the cost of the job. The contractor (recommended by SERVPRO) had a problem with the "swirly" pattern, and I could not get them to come back and fix the uneven finish around a wall socket whose cover now does not attach seamlessly to the wall. <br /> Before I would use them again, I would research other options. (I may still ultimately use SERVPRO, but I would be more careful about knowing the cost going into the job.)

I had to pack up everything in my garage so that they could get to the walls to be fixed. When you’re in a situation like that, your entire world is upside down. They packed up everything up for me, cleaned everything up for me, and hauled everything away. I was just really happy with their services.

It is hard to believe there is a group of people who are concerned with performing a high quality job can still be found, but everyone associated with ServPro of Chesapeake is just that. Another company on the other hand, was slipshod and hurried to get off the site with pay. My insurance company listened to our concerns and then sent Chesapeake to finish the work. Air Duct Cleaners of Virginia, a subsidiary of Servpro Chesapeake, saw to it that ducts that were laying on the ground caused by broken hangers, were properly re-hung. When we sensed a problem, Steve quickly came to house to see if they did anything wrong. No Cost - just concern on there part. He verified no problem with his moisture meter; discoloration was a flaw in the veneer paneling. I highly recommend you let Servpro of Chesapeake perform total re-work and act as contractor. I am only estimating the cost, because my insurance company paid them.

Everything is neat and clean. They have been just fantastic. I can't say enough about them. The people were neat and clean, were respectful and knowledgeable. I have been very very pleased and impressed. They work with the insurance adjuster to make sure everything is taken care of. I liked the way he answered my questions with great detail.

These people did a great job of cleaning up after our hot water burst. They came right over and sucked up all the water and cleaned everything up. Our carpet looks like new now. They worked with our insurance company so I didn't have to deal with that. They were very respectful of my home.

I contacted this company for cleaning my carpets and they came out right away. These guys were very good and I was happy with the way they cleaned my carpets. I would recommend their services to others. I had a deductible for the insurance but I couldn t remember what it was.

After the fire, everything looked ruined, but they did an excellent job restoring the carpets and the furniture. All of the soot was removed. The crew was very professional and respectful of my belongings in the home. I would definitely recommend this company. Our insurance took care of the cost of the cleaning.
