this was several years ago. it wasn't obvious to me that the big fans etc were needed for as long as they were used, but the project restored the wall to its original condition.

It went well. I haven't had the work done yet. They did come out and looked at it. I was just thinking that maybe a contractor could come out and try to put down more sheetrock up. They said that what they do is clean out any mold before they do the sheetrock. I am unable to grade the price because I haven't got a quote yet. They said I would need two quotes; one from the contractor and one from them. No work has been done yet so I can't grade the quality. They were good.

My experience with ServPro was terrific.  They were quick to get a crew out to my home on the same day the plumbing leak was repaired.  The crew pulled back the wet carpet, opened up the wall, and evaluated the situation before removing only the material that had to be taken.  They sprayed the affected area with cleaner, scrubbed everything that remained to get rid of the mold, and left blowers behind to help dry everything out.  When the main dehumidifier began leaking after one day, they promptly came out and swapped in a different one to finish the job.  Aside from a little confusion about their bill - my insurance company insisted on a direct bill while ServPro typically bills the homeowner - I was very pleased with how the entire process went. <br />

<p>Insurance company recommended ServPro.  If I used them, the insurance company would pay the bill directly.  So I selected ServPro.  They did a credible job.  No complaints with their work.  However, they recommended Green Construction ? indicating ? one throat to chock.  Farthest from the truth.  After Green came in ? Servpro was gone.  Green Construction did a poor job (see write-up on Green Construction).  </p>
