The work was sloppy and they used my personal tarps to handle their materials for the work. They also made a mess of my patio with leftover stucco from the job. I had the owners come back out and power wash my patio, supply me with a new hose and tarp.

Terrible. Our order was "in progress" for 5 months. Actually, they never did order the products and we ultimately cancelled. Our credit card company managed to reverse the down payment. This company is in trouble. Our salesman and other employees we communicated with are no longer with the company.

After extensive research into the company we put an $11,000 deposit down in Dec of 2016 for a Feb of 2017 install. When it came time to install SGK said that the needed to delay, then 48 hours after that they stopped answering their phones. Buyer beware!

We hired SGK to do a door/window and siding project. We first signed the contract last year in Feb, the job started in Memorial Day and it didn't finish until almost Labor Day. It was that bad. We picked James Hardie siding. Throughout the process it was many cycles of waiting for bits and pieces that were missing, agonizing phone calls, waiting for the contractor to show up, etc. On top of that, we had two walls with Tamlyn trim but the contractor had no idea how to put that on. So we had to change plan, refund, and more phone calls.

SGK came out and replaced 4 of our windows earlier this year. The team was professional and helpful from the office staff down to the installers. We love our new windows and we won't hesitate to use SGK again for future projects.

The SGK office staff were very polite and helpful and the gentleman that came out to do the estimate was also very polite and very knowledgeable. He knew a lot of information about the windows that I didn't even know. He spent a lot of time going over different types of windows and how the different ratings could benefit our home and be better for our home in the long run. I did collect a few quotes and in the end SGK was not the cheapest but the quality of their product I feel is well worth the cost. I also don't mind paying a little more since they took more time to answer questions and go over their product in a way that the other companies didn't. Overall I enjoyed meeting with SGK and would consider having them out again for any future projects.

Victor described the job he was doing and answered my questions clearly. He works hard and did a great job. Area for improvement. He didn't communicate the days or times that he would come and do the work or finish work – clearly. I had to call to ask where he was and what time and/or day he would come. There were a couple of days in which he was late.

We had a lot of issues because they couldn't order the right windows and things like that. It was not a big job but they kept messing it up, they did get the window right, the work was not done properly they had to order windows couple of times, one piece of the window would come and then something else won't come it was just a complete nightmare and I think we had looked them up on angielist as well as just overall reviews they had very good reviews but for some odd reason our work just took forever and lot of back and forth for this window. They did mess up but at the same time they did took ownership and they had owned it that they screwed up and they tried their best to fix it.

In addition to replacing all our windows in the house, we were starting a kitchen and masterbath remodel.  The timing of the window install was crucial to coordinate with the remodel.  We also wanted year end pricing, which was a substantial savings.  We interviewed two companies and chose SGK. We would have interviewed a third company to be thorough, but it was impossible to find another company that did new construction installation that fit our time line.  Rob Rowe (our salesperson) is an up front and "real" person.  Did not come across as a salesman or try to up sell us like the other company's representative.  The price was $8000 less than the other company for comparable windows (Anlin windows) and same type of installation.   <br> <br>Our goal was to have all the windows installed before our remodel started, but the installation date was delayed due to the rain.  We were in contact with Deanne (not sure her actual title) at SGK many times to coordinate the installation and she spoke with our contractor to make sure the kitchen window was installed at the right time.  In fact, SGK installed the kitchen and bath windows earlier than the other windows to coordinate with the demo.   <br> <br>This was the only real hiccup we had with the installation.  When the bathroom windows were installed, the edge of the window and sills were cut back too far due to something with the flange (sp?) nails.  This left a large gap between the window and the wood window sill.  A couple of the gaps were filled with caulking and another left with the large gap.  After discussion that this was not acceptable, a total of 3 window sills had to be replaced.  They now look good.  My take on this incident is that there was a lack of communication of why there were gaps when the windows were cut and it was not adequately communicated to us that the sills would be replaced at a later date (when the other windows were installed).  There Quality Control person (Edward) was called in right away and he came by the house multiple times  to ensure the installation was all done to our satisfaction.  The foreman on the job was Francisco.  Another worker named Manny was also very instrumental in making sure I was happy with the outcome.   <br>    <br>I was assured that this would not happen moving forward and all the remaining windows were installed without incident. We are having to do some minor paint touch up around most of the windows since caulking is used around the drywall and sills. The windows are beautiful (as much as vinyl can be) and the wood trim that was all replaced looks great.  It is primed and we still need to have it painted.  The old windows had condensation and were drafty.  The new windows have no draft and the house is noticeably warmer.  All our neighbors are commenting on our new windows.   <br> <br> <br>

They came out to give an estimate right before Christmas. After the holidays, I remembered that I ordered windows through this company. It turned out that they'd lost my order. Within two weeks, they'd solved the problem, but we wondered if they would have noticed, in the case we hadn't notified them.  <br /> <br /> The work was done well.

<p>We just used them and it turned out pretty well. There was one mistake but they are correcting it so it turned out really well. </p>

SGK was awesome to work with. They were all punctual, and if there were any issues(because of rain, vehicle, etc.), they immediately let me know. The entire crew was exceptional; very professional and polite. They worked hard all day, and completed the job in a timely manner. They were all concerned about the quality of the job, and made sure that we were satisfied- which we were/are. Evan and Daniel were a pleasure to work with, and I appreciate their attentiveness and care throughout the duration of the project. <br />

This was a great company to work with. They did a superb job replacing eight windows. They were on time, professional, courteous and very easy to work with. George Mumaw was excellent at setting up the project. This is the best window company I found in the Bay Area. <br />
