Shamrock Roofing

I March I engaged Shamrock Roofing (Patrick Harper) to replace the flashing around our chimney and paid a 50% deposit. Four months later, I have not heard from Shamrock Roofing, they have not returned any of my calls, and now their voice mailbox is full and I am unable to contact them. I have filed a case with the Massachusetts AGO with the hope that the AGO can provide some assistance. Beware, I suspect this company has gone out of business.

Very very well! After two others failed, Shamrock showed up and quickly assessed and fixed the areas of concern around the chimney. They were friendly, fast, skilled and reasonably priced. Great work!

It was a very good experience working with them. They came promptly. Patrick was straight forward on problems that they found and they fixed it. It costs a lot more than the estimated but they worked it out.

Been using them for 10-15 years now. They clean up as they go along. Neat and clean. They got respect.

Patrick and his sons were reliable, skilled and even fun to work with. As is often the case with a 150 year old house, the job always turns out to be bigger and worse than you thought going in, so a certain amount of trust is called for here. Old house "surprises" are never the good kind. The Shamrock crew worked steadily for four weeks, cleaning up the job site carefully at the end of each work day. This work is skilled, hard and slow going, so don't expect it come cheaply. But the finished result was excellent. Came back promptly to wrap up minor items on the "punch list."

I had a great experience with them. They did a good job. Since I am unable to climb up and check the roof myself, I am not able to see exactly what they did, but we have had 3 major storms since then and have had no leaks. They came when they said they were going to, they cleaned up. They were very neat and efficient.

Patrick got back to me immediately and gave me an excellent quote, substantially lower than many other Angie's List roofers. He accommodated my schedule and came out the very next day with his crew. They were kind and courteous and did a great job on the repair. Patrick was also kind enough to offer free advice concerning some issues with my gutters, and did not try to sell me on additional work, which I greatly appreciated - just made suggestions that were in my interest as a homeowner. Patrick is a genuinely nice guy who does great work. Highly recommend!

All aspects of the work were executed efficiently, professionally, and with skill. The Shamrock team worked through difficult weather to replace a large, complicated roof. This included the removal and replacement of asphalt shingles, rubber roof, and copper panels. The Shamrock team also replaced cedar shingles on multiple dormers, made repairs to the subroof, replaced many areas of damaged molding, as well a skylight, and several copper and wood gutters. They also designed and installed a custom heating wire system in multiple areas of the roof to prevent ice dams. The installation went very well and we have had absolutely no issues in the month since the work was completed. The Shamrock crew responded to all of my questions and concerns, while working on the job and whenever I contacted them over the phone. As our roof structure is large and very complicated, Patrick and his team took the time to explain all of the options and advantages/disadvantages of different approaches as issues and questions came up. I am very happy that I went with Shamrock for this difficult job. I would recommend them highly and will definitely use them in the future.

We had ice dams in winter. Called a few places and Shamrock roofing was the only company who called back. We discussed a new roof and Patrick explained the procedure in depth. The roof was completed today and looks fantastic. His men cleaned up the yard to the point you'd never know they were here. Very pleasant workers as well. Despite being a small job, Patrick called almost immediately. He quickly went out to my property and assessed the problem. He gave me a quote. The Shamrock Roofing employee was prompt and professional. The problem was fixed on time and at the price quoted. These days it is rare to find a company so responsive.

Patrick responded quickly and was professional and courteous . He and his crew arrived when they said they would and performed the job efficiently and well. I would definitely recommend.

Original roof done 4 years ago is beautiful still... and repair done recently was taken care of promptly and at no charge! No complaints on our end. We will definitely use them again!

This is a family-owned company that frequently does roofing jobs in metrowest suburbs including Newton. In 2011, they replaced our shingle roof, gutters, and dormer siding, and we've been satisfied with that work. We hire them regularly for gutter cleaning/maintenance/repairs, and roof snow/ice dam removal. Patrick and his sons are very pleasant to work with - professional, respectful, and polite. If I leave 1 or 2 messages, they return my call within a day and schedule the job promptly (including weekends). Patrick is typically on site - he supervises closely and has high standards. My detailed review of the shingle roof replacement, gutter/downspouts replacement, and siding replacement they did for our home was posted in 2011. I recommended the company to a friend, who hired them for roof repairs and roof snow removal and was also satisfied with the work.

Excellent. I have used Patrick before, and always am very pleased with his response, his work, and the ease of working with him.  He comes when he says he will, on time, does excellent work, and cleans up after the work is done.  I highly recommend him. <br />

Their responsiveness was excellent; they made it out the same day.  We've used them in the past for roofing work.
