they were a little late arriving due to an accident BUT they did call to explain what happened, so move was not completed until 11pm at night. Otherwise, they were a great group of guys to work with. I referred them to my niece and she used them twice.

The 2 guys were fast and efficient. There were scuff marks on the wall but it was a tight squeeze in those areas. Overall, great value! I highly recommend them! (I had them leave their shirt and tie on. Must not be comfortable moving things shirtless and getting scratched.)

I was one person moving and I had moved all clothing and most everything myself except for major pieces of furniture and some large boxes. They broke a very expensive lamp which they said they'd fix like new, and it's still messed up/bent as well as a bunch of expensive candles and other small stuff. It was like it was these movers first time moving anything. It took them 10 hours and I paid nearly $2K for this job that should have taken 3-4 hours max! The two guys who moved were often found no where when I'd go back to the site of the move (not outside by the truck, in my old apartment or in the halls.) They used my expensive medical texts books to prop open the outside door, where everyone was going in an out of my old apartment! Again I moved almost everything from a small lofted 2 bedroom apartment myself and these guys charged me for 10 hours and I was made to feel like this was somehow my fault. The move was less than a mile and so much of my furniture was banged up or bent even though I paid for the extra wrapping. I don't even know how this was possible. Look at the move I'm describing at what I was charged and you'll know something's off. I described the job accurately beforehand and was made to feel like the extra time taken and even the damage was my fault. Avoid.

The movers were high school students who were very nice but had limited experience moving furniture. Several pieces of furniture were left in the garage because they could not figure out how to get them in my new house. I then had to hire another moving company to move the pieces into the house.
Response from Shirtless Movers
"Thank you for hiring us. Why didn't you call us after and ask us to move it in the house or let us know there was a issue. If you would of just told us about your issue we would of sent a manager to your location to see if we could get it through for free. That's our managers job. We again thank you for your business, we're sorry for inconvenience. If you need anything else moved for free please feel free to call us."

On November 17th I found Shirtless Movers on Angieslist. I saw that they have a coupon for 2 movers for 119 dollars per hour including the truck and 25% off the first hour. . I went to their website and filled out the form they have to order services. They have a 100% satisfaction guarantee or full refund listed on their website. I saw a negative review about them but with the guarentee I figured I would be safe. They sent me a copy of my order number 00418 via email. I gave them what I needed moved when and where. 11-22-2016 Arrival time8-9am,Type of service 2 Elite Movers (+26 FT TRUCK) $129/Hr 3 Hourly minimum And an extra note from me.. need my furniture and larger objects moved from my old apartment to my new. I am out of the country for work so my friend will be handling it. King bedroom set, TV easel, Couch Table, TV cabinet 6 feet long, couch with chaise, reclining chair, 4 bar stools, desk, 3 end tables, a wine carinate, and a wine fridge, 6 foot long bar, patio swing, pictures, other large objects possibly any boxes that he hasn't already. Shortly after he texted me asking if they could start the move at 5-6 pm instead of 8-9. I said i didnt think that would work moving so late in a luxury apartment. That would mean they would finish around 2 AM!!... And after that he said they could do 9-10 am starting instead of 8-9 am. I agreed to that my order was booked. I am out of town so I hired someone to deal with the moving and movers. He was waiting for them to arrive when I got a text from Jordan Kavoosi saying they were now on their way, 35 minutes after this they again said they were leaving again and said they had to do training and payroll before they left. They were coming from Farmington making their arrival much later what was negotiated. From that point until the next day the person I had handling the actual move was with them the whole time. They showed him a contract sheet with stuff scribbled, crossed out and re-wrtiten with permanent marker. The price was 119 an hour for two people but they showed up with three. They had never discussed the third with me, never mentioned it, suggested it, or had my approval in any way to have a third worker and be billed for it. The contracts via email and the paper one say 2 people 119 dollars an hour. When I moved into this place I had 2 movers who packed the whole truck from a storage locker drove an hour unloaded it and set up all of the furniture in 5 hours total. He said F--K YOU at this point literally. That company did a superb job, moved fast, and didn't damage anything. Several times the person watching them had to tell them to hurry up, even the concierge commented on their low quality move. The next day I was emailed a bill for $1036 and charged for 3 movers, 5.84 hours at $169 an hour. I texted Jordan and said I ordered two movers not three and it was the coupon on Angieslist for 2 movers at 119 an hour and asked him why I should pay for him deciding to bring three. He claimed if he had done it with 2 it would have cost $1500 and tale 12 hours. I told him this is not true and how much I paid to move in and how long it took including the hour drive time, this move was 6 blocks down the same street. He told me he saved me a ton and that if I dont pay it he will raise it 1500 and take me to court, and it is illegal for me to discriminate and it is an illegal act to not pay my bill. He said he will call the police to start a report and doesnt have time for my BS!!! And ordered me to call him immediately. At this point he sent me 20 texts in around 30 minutes knowing I am in Iraq. Then blamed me for them being 2 hours late to their second job, but also claimed his second job was cancelled. I am assuming one of the two is a lie. He then sent me a copy of his blank contract with nothing filled out. Then one filled out with stuff scribbled out and re-written with permanent marker on a carbon copy sheet. It even says at the top 119 per hour for 2 people. My helper said he keeps harassing him for payment even though he is talking to me and knows it is my bill. I sent him a long text on my stance and that I refuse to pay for the third person when it was an ambush showing up with them. He said he could have just sat there not working and let the bill be 1500 and said because I didn't order 3 guys!! He admits that I ordered 2 people. Then he blames it on the distance to the truck because of the moving elevator they had to use. The same one my previous movers had no problem with. And says with that distance there is no excuse you have to have 3 people. I sent him another text pointing out all the ways he was violated his own contract, and his threats and profanity, and pointed out that his contract says you have to settle anything out of court with the BBB. It never says what the BBB is and this goes against his threat to bring me to small claims court. He told me he did me a huge favor buy working himself or else it would have taken even longer with the other two. Then he still says I needed 3 or 4 movers because of the distance. I also pointed out his guarantee on his website that says "We have a 100% money back guarantee if your not happy Shirtless Movers LLC will give you a full refund. We believe in the old saying customers our number #1 enjoy! Look how happy our customers are :)." I also told him I would pay the 119 an hour and nothing more. He said I could make a payment for 694 but then said I would still have an outstanding balance after that. He emailed me two more invoices at this time. I thought he was agreeing to the 694 total pay until I saw the invoices. Then he even said he forgot to add the 50 dollar travel fee into the total and sent me an even higher total. Never responded to the guarantee. I told him I thought he was agreeing to me paying 119 an hour and that I was not paying any more than that as I have said many times. He told me it is illegal and discrimination to not pay. I asked why he keep saying that and he said because he had 2 minorities working that day!!!! I have no clue who was working!!! What their ethnicity is, what they look like, I am not even in the United States!! Here I gave up, I tried to come to mutual agreement with him but he just uses baseless threats and profanity to try and get his way!! Then he gave me some other guys phone number and said this guy wrote his "Tariff" and that he works for the state and I have to call him. He does not work for the state he is the head of the Minnesota Movers Association. Next he acknowledges the guarantee on his website but I do not know what his texts meant. Im pasting them here...2 guys is $119 hr 3 guys is $50 hour according to our tariff and contract you signed at $169 hr Your bill would be 100% garauteed $400 if you only order 2 guys On our website on every page it says $179hr for 3 guys.... I again told him I will only pay for the 119 an hour as the Angieslist coupon said for 2 people as was in the contract not 3. Then he tells me to pay the balance and they will give me time to pay the remaining balance and pay what I can. I told him again I will not pay anything more than the 119 an hour that was negotiated and sent him this text. I know if this were to go to court I would win by a landslide. Especially with your un-based threats and profanity and wild card discrimination claim. Along with your own 100% guarantee of happiness or a full refund.. Denying that would mean you are violating Minnesota’s truth in advertising law. This would mean not only do you have to void the total cost of the move, but also pay my lawyers and court fees. So alone in small claims court you would not win because of your own violations of your contract, offending me with threats and profanities, and your hijacking the move by showing up over staffed. And there is the pure and utter no way to defend against it guarantee you have and you would have to pay whatever lawyer I chose to get and the court fees. His only response was did you pay your bill!!! Then he sent me these texts... So your not gonna pay anything After I get done with training I will be at your place with the police to start report for small claims If you do

"This customer owes us for 5 hours unpaid. Your friend signed off on the extra guy which was a manager to help. Your walking distance at the pick up was over 100ft which you need 3 guys or you will pay more with only 2 guys. At the drop off it was another 120ft from the drop off. Nothing was ready or blanket wrapped. The customer forgot to get us his full credit card info so we went unpaid for his move and no one could get a hold of him until the next day. He was saying since he ordered through our website 2 movers that he doesn't have to pay for that third guy. Our manager was supervising that day to quality check to make sure you save money and we do a good job. Your move would of taken 10 to 13 hours with 2 movers so your bill would of been 1400 to 1700 hands down. We even warn if the pick up is over 70ft walking distance it's recommended 3 movers if we don't people will use that against us saying we're the experts and we should of told them we needed 3 guys. We have filed the suit. No furniture was ready the king size bed was not dissembled. The only thing that was ready was the boxes were packed. The manager did his job by asking not forcing anything suggesting 3 guys is recommended your friend we was there for you signed it and agreed and we wrapper some furniture with blankets the nice ones. The last customer we moved that had less stuff then this 2 days ago had a long walking distance over 70ft at the pick up and 10ft at the drop off took 14 hours and her bill was $1700.00 cuz she only ordered 2 movers. She never complained she paid it and we were done. She would of saved money with 3 movers. It's in our best interest as a business overall to suggest things so you are happy and Payless as we want returning customers. We apologize that your not understanding this and are unhappy. Yes we did lose Business after your move since we waited an hour to try to get a hold of you to get the rest of your card number after the job was done that was unpaid we were to late when we arrived at our second job. I strongly think we were taken advantage of and we will see you in small claims."

Jordan and his crew were awesome and they were truly living up to their name- one guy was shirtless too since it was so hot! Ok back to business. They came punctually, blanket wrapped 3 queen size and 1 twin beds, 3 white leather couches, 10 wooden pieces of LARGE armoires, dressers, glass and wooden bookcases and a BUTCHER BLOCK kitchen island in an hour. They also moved 37 cans of 5 gallon buckets of paint and 21 boxes of filled with books. They had one guy who looks like a linebacker simply lift and move my roommates dumbbells (approximately 350 pounds) with no problems. They got all this moved out from my house and into their truck within 75 MINUTES! They then moved and unpacked everything in the other home again within 75 minutes. Wow. Their work ethic is amazing. They told me they are farmboys from Farmington and Eagan and this was a piece of cake. Even if they are a bit higher than a competitor, I assure you that I have moved 8 times from one house to another and these guy beat my previous movers.

Jordan came to my home and looked at all of my belongings for our move to North Carolina. He was unsure if all of our things could fit into a 26 foot truck. I thought they could. We had already filled a 26 foot truck and moved what we thought was half of our belongings to NC. He told me that even if it didn't fit, he has a 26 foot trailer that he can pull so it wouldn't be a problem. The trailer needed a hitch to fit on the back of the moving truck, so we offered to give him a deposit so that he could get it done, better for both of us. For many reasons that didn't work out and he just decided to drive 2 26 foot trucks.
He stayed true to his quote and didn't charge me any more money, even though now he wasn't going to make much money. He kept telling me how much this move is going to cost him and how much he should have charged us. He even told me that he thought I was trying to swindle him by saying that we didn't have many belongings, even though he saw what we owned and should be the professional and know what its going to take to move us.
The day before the move came, and once again Jordan called me to tell me what the move should actually cost us. I thought he was going to cancel on us, he didn't. But, he told me that his truck was in the shop and needed a new engine, but it will be done in time for our move.
Moving day came ( March 12th) and a couple of movers showed up to start packing. They both thought that they could pack up the whole house and get it into one truck that day. They didn't start packing until about 11:00 or so, and Jordan finally showed up to help pack at about 2:00 with a rented uhaul truck. We helped pack as much as possible because we had to leave to drive to North Carolina the following day at about noon. They only worked until 5:00 and said they'd come back about 9:00 the next morning. I got the two movers to show up at 8:00 to start packing, meanwhile we kept packing up the house to get it done. Unfortunately, not much was accomplished before we had to drive away. Luckily, our 18 year old son stayed behind to help and supervise. They started loading the truck up at 4:30 pm. At about 9:00, Jordan let me know that a 6 foot long piece of glass I had on top of my desk had just broken. He didn't want to pack it up in cardboard, or leave it attached to the desk, They put it on a mattress, and it broke. He refused to pack the picture frames in cardboard, and wrapped them in moving blankets. We have a hand made grandfather clock that we build a crate for, Jordan didn't even want to use it. He just wanted to wrap the clock in blankets. My son made them use it.
They filled up the 26 foot truck, a 17 foot rented truck and then had to go rent a trailer for things like the riding lawn mower. My son texted me at 2:00 am to let me know that they had just finished loading everything up.
The truck's engine didn't get fixed in time to drive to North Carolina, So, they unloaded all of our things from the 26 foot Uhaul truck and reloaded it into a Penske truck. Then they headed out to North Carolina on March 19th . They got stopped in Minnesota by the DOT saying that the emergency brake in the 17 foot truck needed to be repaired, so they had to turn around. They rented another 26 foot Penske truck, unloaded all of our things from the 17 foot truck and the trailer, and put them in the second Penske truck. On March 20th, Jordan told me that he was almost to North Carolina and they would unload the next day. I heard nothing from him until 10:00 am saying that he was still 6 hours away. he thought he could meet us between 4:00 and 4:30 at our storage unit to unload. At 4:45 he told me he's be there at 7:00 pm. Since the storage unit is only open until 9:00 pm, I told him that it wasn't going to work tonight and he'd have to unload in the morning. He told us isn't wasn't an option because he had to go back to Minnesota by Wednesday morning, and asked if my older kids (who were still in Minnesota could help unload). At that point, my husband was furious with all of the problems, delays, excuses and stories that he got on the phone and yelled at him for approximately 30 minutes. Jordan told my husband that it was my fault because I thought everything would fit in one truck. Once again, he blamed me, the customer. Needless to say, we began to unload the next morning.
I was physically sick when I looked at how things were loaded in the trucks. It was obvious that they didn't care about our things and just wanted to be done with the move. Things were broken or damaged coming out of the truck. Jordan was going to take all of the moving blankets that he made us use instead of boxes off of all of our things, including the picture frames, etc to go into storage where they would have been damaged. So we came to an agreement that he would keep blankets on some of the things and I would pay him for the moving blankets (which ended up costing my an additional $200).
It took until about 3:00 in the afternoon to unload everything into the storage units. My things only needed to be there for about a week until we closed on our new house. Luckily for me I didn't need my possessions quickly since it took 8 days to get them. I talked to Jordan about replacing the piece of glass that was broken, and he refused. He told me that I should go through my home owners insurance. Even though he is insured.
One week later, we hired some local movers to bring the things to our new house. They pointed out everything that was damaged coming out of the storage units. Most of our furniture is scratched, has chips taken out of it, or completely destroyed. This includes furniture that was wrapped by Shirtless movers and stayed wrapped the whole time. Glass is broken, lamps are broken, our King sized mattress was damaged so badly that springs are staring to come out of the mattress. Boxes labeled fragile were carelessly put on the bottom underneath heavier boxes and crushed. Desk tops and chairs are broken. Its going to take a lot of money to replace or try to fix what has been damaged. This company has 20 years experience with moving and was very careful and respectful of our possessions. They didn't damage anything and were very careful moving things into our new house.
I told Jordan about this and he asked me to send him pictures, today I asked for his email because I have about 40 pictures to send him and that would be the best way for both of us. At that point, he began to blame the second set of movers for all of the damage and refused to pay for anything. He told me that he is closing his company in Minnesota next month, that is probably best for everyone. He is not professional in his dealings with customers, continuously complains about all the problems he is having including financial problems, and did a very poor job with the moving in general. The ONLY positive is that he kept his word with his price. But we would have been better off packing and moving ourselves.

Response from Shirtless Movers
"We only charged you for 1 26ft truck when you used 2x26ft trucks so we saved you $5000 to $10000 off your invoice. I personally unloaded your 2 trucks in storage and didn't notice anything broken or boxes crushed. What we do know is you most likely hired a cheap moving company to move your items from storage and they broke your items. We are not liable for anything you do with your items after you move it out of storage. The fact that you showed us your bank account and it had $85k in it and still didn't pay us for the second truck truly shows your class."

It was really wonderful. I have not had a lot of time, and I tried to have moving sales ahead of time. My business was merging with another company so I had to get rid of a lot of things. They made it really easy to contact them. They responded via text message immediately when I emailed them. They understood my needs and they went above and beyond to make it work with my limited time schedule. Also, they were really fun to work with during a very stressful time. They were very accommodating and they focused on putting a smile on my face as they worked. I would recommend them to anyone who asks.

I have an amazing experience with these guys. They sent me a written invoice prior to the move and called a few days ahead to confirm that we were still on for the move on the scheduled day. They arrived on time with a 34ft truck and two movers. They worked at a fast speed -- they were running back and fourth. They covered all my furniture with blankets and plastic wrapped everything to ensure its safety. I had a heavy granite countertop that needed to be moved, they worked very carefully, blanket wrapped it and put it in between two mattresses.
They charged $99/h with a 3 hour minimum of work. Overall, very professional, affordable price -- would use them again in the future.
