Larry is the consummate pro. He's like the Holmes on Holmes of appliance repair. My most recent job (I have used him for 3 years) is the first time he was stumped by one of my appliances. The first solution he thought would work didn't, but then he was at the ready, ordering the correct parts as quickly as possible (My oven is older and harder to get parts for on the fly) and even offering to cover the costs of the first round of parts since they weren't the correct solution. He got it fixed in time for Holiday Entertaining and did it with a smile and a "Merry Christmas".
This is the guy you want coming to your home and fixing what's wrong. He won't make you fix something that isn't broken, he will tell you if it makes more sense to buy something new instead of profiting from fixing your clunker, and if it takes a little longer or comes at an unusual time, he doesn't jack up his prices.
Larry's the best.

This is my third time working with Larry and every experience has been very positive. He's easy to work with, his prices are great and he shows up when he says he will. This time, it was a new wall oven. We had a small challenge securing a time for the work, but it all worked out and I'm super happy with my oven and the installation. I would definitely recommend and use Larry again for any appliance problems!
What an incredibly wonderful experience with Larry! My dryer vent got disconnected on a friday night, and I called Larry at 8 p.m. He picked up the phone and told me he could be over at about 11 on Saturday. He was right on time. He reconnected the vent, cleaned the venting system, and also answered several other questions I had about other appliances. All in all, he was at my house for almost an hour, on a saturday, and he only charged me $45. That's unbelievable value.

Our experience with Larry/Sick Appliance Repair was excellent, as was our previous experience with a dryer repair.
He is friendly, professional, very knowledgeable and capable. (Can't think of anymore positive adjectives. But, if I could, I'd use them!)
Members shouldn't hesitate to work with him.

I can't say enough good things about Larry. He is just awesome. I called him and he was at my house within 30 minutes. I trust him completely to do an outstanding job. He is personable, highly competent, and soooo cheap! I feel like I found gold and can't imagine ever using anyone else.

I was very impressed. Larry's attitude was exactly what I appreciate. Clearly knowledgable, but also looking for the fastest and most reasonable way to fix the problem. Taught me how to fix those problems should they recur. Good guy.

My 17-year-old Hotpoint refrigerator sprang a leak, with water all over the kitchen floor this morning. I called Larry, based on his prior reviews, described the situation and he said he'd be able to come over in 2-3 hours. Fine with me since Sears Repair (which I called first) said the soonest they could be out was the next afternoon. My kitchen would have been underwater by then. Larry actually showed up within about an hour or hour and a half. He took one look at the situation, found the leak right away and proceeded to do the work. I asked if he could also replace the water filter, as long as he was doing some work. He needed to go pick up a part, so he was gone for a bit. I was worried the time he spent might add a lot to the bill, but my fear proved unfounded. His final bill to me was more than fair. He fixed the leak, replaced the filter and even took the vacuum from me to vacuum up the years of accumulated kitty fur that had built up on the coils. He was very professional, nice and got the job done at a very fair price. Plus, he gave me a helpful tip about cleaning the burners on my stove (it came up separately). He even asked before he put his company sticker on the fridge. I said yes, because I'm sure I'll be using him in the future. Thanks!

Larry was great to work with. I had to call him for two different problems. The stove was not working and I couldn't use it. I called he can out EXACTly when he said, he was professional and on time, and was great to work with. He is a real gem and I'm lucky to have found him on Angies List. I would recommend to anyone who has a problem with small or large appiances and he can advise you on other things too. He was polite and didn't try to sell me something Ididn't need.

When my mother's Whirlpool dryer stopped working I called Sick Appliance Repair and left a message. It was later in the day and I didn't expect to hear back until the next day, but Larry returned my call and said he could come out that evening after finishing another job. He arrived when he said he would and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. He was kind and friendly and took the time to answer questions about other issues. I would definitely call him again and recommend him to others.

The person who came to do the work is Larry. I really liked him. My overall experience with him was very good. I have worked with him a couple of times in the past. His prices are very reasonable. He is very punctual. He shows up when he says he is going to show up. He seems to be very honest. In fact he even went out there to fix the original stove. He didn't even charge me for that visit. I had decided to forget and not try to repair the old stove; I would get a new stove. He came and installed the new stove. He came back and did not even charge me for the time he had to first go around. I would definitely use him in the future.

Excellent! Larry quickly diagnosed a problem with the sensor and replaced it. I really appreciate the fact that Larry had the part with him! I've had two other companies do similar repairs but they were more expensive. Also, they didn't have the required parts so it took 3-4 days to complete the repair. (Uggh. Laundry waits for no man, so those piles turn into mountains of dirty clothes in the meanwhile!) Larry was here very quickly. He was personable, professional and prepared. I won't hesitate to call Larry for any appliance repairs we might need in the future. I'll also give his card to friends & family.

He was wonderful. He is a great guy. He could have sold me a motor and said that he would put it in for the dryer, so I was pleased with that. He is a really good guy. He was absolutely punctual.

Larry came out to check my dishwasher, which had stopped working. But before he arrived, we discovered that the refrigerator in our guest house and some of the lights were also out. Larry helped me to discover the problem - he found a space heater that a guest had left on for over two weeks that had burned a hole in a surge protector. Due to Larry's diligence in looking for the source of the problem, he probably saved our house from burning down. He then went on to fix the dishwasher (whose electrical problem was related to the burned out wire from guest house). He also helped me with a computer problem! He was a sea of calm as everything seemed to be falling apart. Prompt, polite, professional. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Larry is the best service tech I have met in a very long time, hes honest and most importantly he knows what hes doing. I have met a lot of idiotic people while managing rental properties. A lot of dishonest shiest-er companies like "Hi tech appliance repair" to name one company in particular. Larry is a breath of fresh air. He came over on schedule, went right to work. Hes very intelligent and knowledgeable when it comes to his line of work. This guy is top notch. In turn I felt great knowing that I have someone capable and honest to call if something breaks in the future.

He's fixed my washing machine, dishwasher, disposal....you name it he has it handled. Once we had him out to fix the dishwasher and he told us not to bother, that it would be cheaper to get a new one. He's honest, prompt, nice, and professional. He's my go-to fix it guy for all appliances. I Highly recommend him!

They were very good and very reasonable. They came right away, the fellow was really nice, and he was neat and clean. He took everything out of my freezer and put it back in by himself. He was very professional. I had a question afterwards so I called him and he called me right back.

Larry was very responsive. He came out within a half hour of my calling him and looked at the front loading washing machine, which had stopped working. He charged a $35 service charge. After looking at it for a half hour he determined that it was the control board (?) that was not working and said he could order one. We looked on my home computer to see how much it would cost and it was approximately $130, so I needed to think about whether it was worth repairing or if I should just buy a new machine since mine was 6 years old. Larry told me that it would be an additional $55 for him to install it. So a total of $220. I later decided to go ahead with the repair and Larry obtained the part for me very quickly. He told me it cost more than the one we had seen online and so I ended up paying $25 more, however, his invoice showed the same price for the part, but an increased labor fee. I was happy with his work, but felt that Larry may have overcharged me a bit. Something just didn't feel right about the final invoice. However, the washer has been working fine. UPDATE: Larry did contact me promptly after reading the above review and offer to refund $20. I expect to receive the refund shortly.
Response from SICK APPLIANCE REPAIR
"I would like to respond to comment. You are correct there is an overcharge in wich I apologize. Your total cost should have been $225.50, $138.00 for the control board, and labor $87.50, minus the $35.00 service fee, I owe you $20.00. If you read this post please contact me for my apology. I am sending you a check this monday 2/28/11. Again I apologize and hope all is well with your washer. Larry"

I had dropped a Maytag washing machine after moving it to the house I moved into. Larry came out about a half-hour after I called him. He knew exactly were to look and found the problem within a couple minutes. He also replaced some gaskets and was very innovative in replacing the screens in the gaskets. I could tell he was a thinker, not just a parts replacer. He also gave us advice on using our dishwasher. Extremely intelligent, reasonably priced, quick, professional, and obviously very experienced. Since he didn't have the broken washing machine timer in stock, he gave me a couple different options on how to purchase it, which I really appreciated. I ended up ordering it directly from Sears. If there are any other appliance problems I have, Larry will definitely be my first call. Very professional and a great guy.

The first repairman claimed the job would cost $750 to $1200. Larry was professional, personable and on the job. He completed the job and checked the fridge completly and even returned to show me what was done this morning at 7:30am. This, I am very impressed with. Great job and I can assure you that I will recommend you to friends and family. Great job and Best wishes, Usha
