Siding Repair Systems

The work was substandard at best. I was deceived on the work that would be performed. I was told at the time of sales that the wood siding I had would be cut back and replaced with similar material. It was not. It was replaced with what appears to be a type of trim. I had originally called in because I wanted my house painted. They then only painted the siding and told me the trim would be extra after they had already started the job. At this point I felt like I was being held hostage to their demands. Since they had already started the job they would do what would normally cost over $2000 for around $1600. I elected not to have this additional work performed. I would have NEVER had them do any work had I known this from the beginning. There is caulk everywhere. Nothing was taped or masked. The paint lines are not straight or even. Sometimes they would paint the side of the trim the same color as the siding. In other places they wouldn't. They washed out their brushes with my house in my yard. One night they left the hose on. I asked them not to wash their brushes in my grass and one of them was rude about it. Do not recommend. The owner offered me $200 off for my troubles. I just wanted the job done right. This isn't it. A month later and I'm still waiting for them to come and touch up spots where they set their ladder against the wet paint and you can see marks on the siding because of it.

I had some siding repair work that needed to be done. Mike and his crew did a great job. I would definitely recommend them to for any siding project.

The front door paint blistered and peeled. It took 10 months and the BBB to get them to refinish and repaint the front door.

Repair was Excellent

Things went well. The work was done meticulously. They cleaned up every day and communicated well as to any stoppage. i.e. Weather stopped job for two days and I was called to inform me. All nail holes were painted to match the color scheme. The bottom line: my home looks fantastic.

They've done good work. The quality is really good. Once they started the work it was done quickly, about two days. Rock solid and perfect clean up. Good technicians. They know exactly what they are doing. They give you a discount if you put a sign in your yard, the contract is put a sign up for a week a few times a year. They seemed to forgot to come get the sign a few times.  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />

They were very good. They did a really good job of making everything nice and neat. They did a good job of matching the siding. It looks really good.

The men were very polite and worked very hard, rain delayed their working several days. They stayed until I was completely happy.

The experience has been terrible from start to "finish" (still no finish in sight really). We used Siding Repair Systems in the past for some work and had communications issues, but not as severe as this time. There is not enough space (nor does anyone have enough time to read about all the issues we encountered) to write all the gory details, but I'll give you the major pain points. First and foremost is the terrible quality of work. The finishes look terrible. There was scrap metal used in numerous places on our downspouts. There are dangerous shards of metal sticking out for our kids and pets to be potentially injured. Addionally, one of our window screens was installed so loose that it ripples when the wind blows. The roof shingles do not all lay flat and look bad in places. The deck is now 2 different colors with a horrible finish job. Aside from quality, communication was horrendous. Crews would show up at our house unnanounced. They would knock on the door repeatedly to ask questions that should have been answered by whomever was managing the project at Siding Repair. They also tried to get me to pay them hundreds of dollars in additional cash in side- work. They finished the deck a few days after the other work, but neglected to tell us they had done so - and we ended up letting our dogs out to run on it because we got home at night and couldnt see the finish. Now we have paw prints in the deck. We only knew the work had been completed because the office called to harrass me to call our insurance company to tell them to send the check as fast as they could. After we were able to look at the house and see the deck issue and the other unprofessional finishes, we called to complain and have been given one excuse after the next. We have been trying to get this fixed for 6 months now. The company agrees the work is terrible, unprofessional, and embarrassing, but has not made any strides at all in fixing the issues. To add insult, a sales rep from Siding Repair called me to ask if I would like to purchase any new work for the summer!!! <br>

<p>This is a revised post.  I contracted with Siding Repair Systems (headquartered in O’Fallon, MO) in June 2015 for the removal and replacement of the wood siding on my two story house with James Hardie Siding (8" Hardie Lap Color +).  The estimate was for 2458 square feet of siding, 330 feet of soffit/fascia and 235 feet of 5" gutters and downspouts.  Mr. Cory Feco, principal/owner, met with me to provide contract and cost details in late June 2015 prior to signing the contract.  The installation window specified in the contract was a starting date NLT August 15 and a completion date NLT Sept 21.  The contracted cost of the job was just under $ 26,000 and a $ 1,000 deposit was provided to get the job scheduled.  The contract specified a payment of 20% upon material delivery, a payment of 30% at halfway completion and the balance upon satisfactory completion of the job.  </p> <p> </p> <p>Siding Repair Systems called on Friday, August 21 and said that a crew would show up to begin the work on Monday, August 24.  The crew showed up on August 24.  Branch Manager Paul Dickens reviewed the work plan with me that morning.  The siding materials were delivered that afternoon.  The crew immediately commenced removal of the old siding.  Project Coordinator Cash Stricker showed up that afternoon to check in and see how the work was proceeding.  </p> <p> </p> <p>The crew was diligent in their work.  They showed up promptly every morning, worked hard and kept the jobsite (my yard) relatively clean and organized.  The attention showed by Branch Manager Paul Dickens and Project Coordinator Cash Stricker during the prosecution of the work was timely, appropriate and appreciated. </p> <p> </p> <p>The only detract was that about a week after completion of the fascia/trim painting, I noted exposed (unpainted) wood on the soffit above my garage.  I called Branch Manager Paul Dickens and left a voice mail about this issue.  Mr. Dickens did not returned my call.  I also mentioned this issue to Mr. Stricker and he said that he would get back to me.  He never got back to me.  This unpainted soffit issue remains unresolved.  My take-away is to be sure that a thorough final inspection is performed and that all issues have been resolved before final payment is made.  I would certainly use this company again but would delay final payment until all outstanding issues have been resolved.  </p>

I had disappointing experience with siding repair systems. <br /> When I signed the contract, I was promised to install in 6 weeks. But after the 8 weeks, the company called me on 11/3 and told me that they will come to install it on 11/5 (Thursday). I asked what time they will come. They said 7 to 8 am. So I took one day off from work and waited for them to come. Around 8:45am, nobody showed up. So I called the company (production manager), I was told that they cannot come on that day. I was so surprised that nobody told me when they changed the schedule. It was delayed because they have not finished other projects. And it was delayed by a few more days and finally completed on the following week. On the first day they came to install, when I got home, I found I had power outrage in my garage and I could not open the garage door. So on the morning of the second day, I had to wait at home and had them to fix the power. After they completed the work, the final waiver of lien showed the work that has been done on my house is "Patio doors and storm doors install". I requested a new final waiver of lien, not sure whether they will do it. <br /> I will not use this company again and will not recommend to other.s <br />

Everything was great.

They gave me an estimate and said the price would take care of the 1500 deductible. The original guy tried to keep our insurance check for 850. The owner called and took care of it. It was the second time I used them, would use them again.

They were very considerate and thorough.  They pretty much were very attentive to what I wanted.  I just had a bad experience with another contractor and they bent over backward to give me what I wanted. I was so happy with them!

All went well. Workers were very polite and knowledgeable. They did a very good job on everything.
