It took a while for them to repair what they did, but everything turned out okay. You just have to know about everything they are doing.
Response from Sid Morris
"This is a project that I did not work on so I must assume it is regards to an unrelated company and was listed in my reports by mistake."

First off, Sid was available to work on the weekend, and in my case, that meant I did not have to take time off work for the visit. Sid installed two drapery rods above sliding glass doors and two above windows, all in the same room. He paid attention to detail as well as to exactly what I wanted. One of the sliding glass doors is adjacent to a window and I wanted the rods to look like there are continuous. Sid made sure they were level, perfectly aligned, and touching. He also patched several holes in my walls and ceiling, some large. He redid one of the patches because he felt it wasn't done right the first time. Then he gave me a break on the price to compensate for the job taking longer than it could have. One of the old drapery rods he took down was 14 feet long and I was worried that the garbage company would not collect it because of the size. Sid cut it down into several chunks for me so I could easily dispose of it. He did all this cheerfully. He showed up on time and was tidy. All in all, a very positive experience.
He didn't have all the tools and I happened to have them so he said he'd take some money off if he could use them. He went to Home Depot to pick up a fan to install but he said he couldn't install the fan because he wasn't licensed to, which he didn't tell us until after he came back with the fan.

"This is a project that I was not involved with so I must assume this report in in error."

Sid has done some work for me before, and he is always prompt, professional, and friendly. This time he installed three curtain rods for me in addition to hanging a large mirror on the wall. He was very careful to make they were mounted exactly where and how I wanted them, and I am very pleased with how everything turned out. He has a lot of attention to detail, and is very careful and deliberate with measurements, which I appreciate.
He came out on a Sunday which I really appreciated. He was very diligent in getting that fixed, and it was a pleasure to have the work done by him.

He was good. He didn't do unnecessary work just to get money. I think he is honest. I would definitely recommend him. I would hire him in the future.

It went fairly well. However, they had to come out a second time to complete the work to my satisfaction. I'm happy now & have no complaints. It looks just fine. They guy who came out was courteous & nice.

When he first came, he wasn't sure if he could fix the hinges, some needed to be tightened, and others had to be completely reinstalled, but he was able to fix it! I found him to be very adept and creative in his methods.

Sid was well meaning, but he seemed to be guessing at what he was doing. He even explained to us that he had to do research on Ask.com before he came to our house because he wasn't sure how to do the job. We could have done that!

I used the big deal. I have a weird type of fence that when you put it up it looks really nice but as the wood dries out the boards get loose. He went in and put self tapping nails so that the boards would not start flipping around. He actually worked on two fences. On the older fence he had to pile a drill but in the newer fence he didn't. So know I don't have to worry about these fences coming loose because I have dogs and I don't want my dogs getting out. He did several different things and he did very well.

Used the Angie's list coupon to have Sid install 2 hanging lights in the garage. He called several times to confirm the appointment time. We had to reschedule once at the last minute and he was fine with that. The work went slightly over the 2 hours because of the way the electrical is run but didn't charge more. Did a great job. Very happy.

He was immediatelly responsive. He confirmed the appointment before hand and showed up right on time and the job took the estimated time within a few minutes. PerfectHe did an excellent job! Sid communicated with me about exactly where and how I wanted the racks installed, and how it would work once installed.Excellent job - I will definetly use him again.

It's a one man operation. I was not very pleased with him. There was an excess of communication. He was calling me frequently. I thought he just wants to be prepared. I really detailed what needed to be done. We had a weird thing about how we were going to put a quite long tension rod and how we were going to support that inside of something. He was an older gentleman and he just took quite a long time. I initially purchased 2 hours on a special that was offered. I think he and I both knew that I was going to need to go over that. What he charged for the over and above was just way over the line. I was looking into what normal handyman hours should be per hour. I am not suggesting that he purposely was slow. I don't think that at all. I don't want to take that away from his character. At the pace that he was doing, I ended up spending a lot more than what I thought I should have for what was done. It took forever to do the dimmer. I even asked him to stop if he didn't know what he was doing. He was just taking so long to do the work.

He is the handyman who we found through Angie?s List. He charges $70 an hour and he did probably 4 hours of work. So, the price was just under $300. I would definitely use his services in the future too.

Sid had to come back over 3 days because of the wet wood. He came on time, cleaned up each day, and kept me informed of issues and progress. It was a painless experience.

Sid fixed a broken accordion door, the door knob and lock mechanism on another door, and repaired a broken thermostat. He also was very willing to check the wiring for a ceiling electrical outlet where I want to install lighting. All in all, he was very efficient, professional, and friendly, and I would definitely recommend him to others. I am certain I will contact him again in the future for other home repairs I need completed.
