Sila was excellent to wok with. They had the experience and knowledge, plus a competitive price and financing options. Their installation crew was very good to work with - respectful of the house interiors, and cleaned up everything inside and outside. Also asked the appropriate questions when any installation matter offered a choice.

Central A/C - Install
This review is being written on behalf of my elderly parents.
They paid approximately $13,000 for a new A/C system installed on 02/06. The unit worked for only two hours before shutting down completely.
On Saturday, it was confirmed the system had been installed improperly. Due to winter temperatures and elderly occupants, we were promised a technician would return on Monday, 02/09. No one showed up.
As a result, the temperature inside their home dropped to 48°F ? an unsafe and unacceptable condition for elderly residents.
This isn?t just a faulty unit. It?s a lack of accountability and urgency after a critical installation failure. When a company installs HVAC equipment incorrectly and then fails to respond to an emergency, that?s a serious breakdown in responsibility.
My parents chose not to post a review. After repeated promises and no action, I feel obligated to share this experience so others can make an informed decision.

They charged $98 to come give me an estimate for swapping our a shower valve cartridge, which was fine, but the pricing they provided was completely unreasonable, $1,000. They were unwilling to provide any detail for the price. I ended up buy the part myself for $30 and replaced it in 30 minutes.

My PTAC unit started making a loud sound and then would shut off. Technician showed up, after 5 minutes of hooking up a machine to my unit it was determined I would need a new one. He told me someone would get me a quote. I asked him if he could help me swap the two in my apt so I can sleep more comfortably and he said it would cost me more money because he would have to be there longer, he was literally only there for 5 minutes. Asked my neighbor to help instead. So $98 to tell me it's broken and not help me move the other one. Never received a quote so emailed the address on the invoice. No response. Called days later and they apologized and said somebody would get back to me. Never did. Called again, they put me on hold to talk the sales team who wouldn't talk to me and quoted through the receptionist that it would be over $5k and asked if I wanted a quote. I think they were just trying to price me out to get me to move along but I still asked for a quote. Still haven't received.

One of my heat pumps was so noisy my neighbor gently complained. When Dennis the technician arrived, I decided to keep an open mind. Technicians from other HVAC companies looked at the units before - for the same issue - but NONE, absolutely NONE, was as thorough as Dennis. He showed me the amount of dirt inside the pump on the street level and said the unit needed "deep cleaning" and the capacitor needed to be replaced in the unit under the deck. Dennis explained everything thoroughly and in simple terms. He took his work seriously and although he had been working for a few hours already, he did not rush through the job. Technicians from other HVAC companies did less than half the work Dennis did and told me I needed two new heat pumps! None mentioned cleaning. It took Dennis longer to complete his work because I kept peppering him with questions which he very calmly and professionally answered. Sila has a top notch employee in Dennis. I look forward to working with him again.

Very easy company to work with, fast response, clear communication, notifications of when the tech was coming out, he explained the fix he implemented, he was polite and easy to work with. I needed a repair to the air conditioning unit at the rental property I have, and Sila was great to work with. I ended up signing up for their annual service program - it was a great deal and I feel like I received fair and honest treatment from the company, so I'm going to use them going forward for a/c repairs at my rental and my personal home.

Upon Roger's arrival both of the bibs were operable. The problem for seeking a plumber was that when a hose was engaged and the water was cut on, water would expel around the connection when the hose was cut off. We could still use both water bibs. NO CONSENT TO TAKE THE BIBS APART WAS ASKED NOR GIVEN before Roger immediately started taking the water bib on the front of the house apart, after having taken it apart he reconnected that water bib. He met me around the rear of the house and preceded to take the outside rear water bib apart. He used a liquid wrench product at first and when the water bib did not unscrew, he used a wrench and a lot of force to remove one part from another. Roger showed me the part he had taken off and told me that the threads were stripped and that no hose could be attached because there was nothing to attach the hose to. He proceeded to tell me about tearing out dry wall and that the company did not repair dry wall and how much it will cost to replace the water bibs. He was getting ready to leave and had the part that he had taken off in his hand. I asked him to replace the part back where he had taken it from and again, he repeated that it will not work. He did stick it back on. He DID NOT replace the knob on the rear water bib that we can no longer use at all. THIS IS A SERIOUS INCONVENIENCE! Not having access to the water in the back yard during planting season. The same day at 3:17 p.m. I called Sila and gave a report about what had taken place and was told that I would receive a phone call. To date I have not been contacted except for the estate to get the work done. On 4-11-23; I emailed the information that I am sending here. " Asking that we need to know what will be done to have the rear outside water bib put back to the condition it was found in upon Roger's arrival". NOTE: The technician told me his name was George. I later learned his name to be Roger Amaker

I had a water heater flush done and one of the parts was outdated so it was also replaced free of charged because it was under warranty. First, I want to say the technician, Devin and Giovanni are the best. One thing I liked is that the technician Devin after telling me about the situation he called to see if the part was under warranty so I would not have to pay extra, he also explained the procedure step by step. They both were excellent in their craftmanship, very friendly and respectful. They also gave me pointers about maintenance and other services offered by Sila for future reference. I am very pleased with the work that was done and will not hesitate to call Sila for other jobs to be done in my home.
