We attempted to have people do these repairs for several years, but none of the work done in the past solved the problem of deterioration, plus in the past, everyone was unreliable. Finally we had the good fortune to be introduced to Bruce at Silverwood Builders. He suggested a solution that is permanent, and best of all is even more attractive than the original doors. It wasn't inexpensive, but the work will never have to be redone, so this will save money and headaches in the long run, as well as making our home more attractive. The work was done promptly and professionally. Everyone we worked with was the best. There was one minor problem after installation, and it was solved within an hour or two. We couldn't be happier.

Bruce did an amazing job with design and planning for the project. He marshaled and over saw an assortment of general contractors from demo and reframing to cabinet design, countertops, flooring, plumbers, electricians, drywallers, finish carpenters, you name it. When there were special issues or needs - whether that was an unusual exhaust system or locating vintage light fixtures, he researched and tracked things down. People rave about the final project - the perfect mix of vintage and modern!

He was great. Punctual and candid with helpful knowledge on the costs of numerous home-remodeling ideas we have had. Also incredibly helpful insights on how we could better implement some of our ideas. Overall just a great, helpful meeting. Would absolutely consider hiring for a project.

Bruce came out and spent a lot of time with us. He created 4 or 5 different sketches of some available ideas. We have a very unique roof line and Bruce was very creative with his ideas that would match the rest of our exsisting home. He spent extra time with us and went outside of the consultation time working with me on our project.

Provided his time and sketch for an addition to the front of our home. He gave us a couple different options for us. He has amazing ideas. Our house is somewhat challenging do to the 70?s style Architectural exterior. We are still looking into this project, and still unsure what is going to fit our needs and style. <br />

Bruce was very helpful. He came out took measurements of my room. We sat down and sketched out 3 options for layout. He gave me a high level estimate of what I should expect to pay for the remodel. Overall, I was very satisfied and would consider using Silverwood Builders if I decide to do the project. It was well worth the small fee to have the information and drawings!

They completely gutted my kitchen. New floor, counter tops and cabinets. It was an incredible job. It totally changed the look and feel of my kitchen. I would highly recommend them.

We had been experiencing some areas of the floors "sinking" or ridges of raised floors. We did no know what kind of contractor to call. Luckily we called Silverwood. Bruce Lowenthal inspected the problem and recommended structural support of our floors. Some of our support beams were cracked and not properly installed by the original builder. Bruce had a crew go under the house and support the areas in question. We were impressed by Bruce's knowledge and his crews professionalism. They left the crawl space in superb condition and the floors are no longer a worry.

In just over three weeks from initial contract to finish, it's over! We hated to see them go. Since there are no don'ts to report, all were do's. They did them. Having spent a lifetime in sales, I was exposed to the most positive "can do" attitudes imaginable. Our experience in watching this job progress was one of the most satisfying experiences we have ever had.

I work with them frequently. They have done 2 projects for me. One was completed 2 years ago and the other one was done recently. They are great. I cannot say enough nice things about them. I would recommend their service, quality, attention to detail, their attention to the project and their ability to get hold of those doing the project. The job turned out to be fantastic. I would definitely use them again in the future if need be.

It is done well. We like his architectural design. We had very specific things such as preserving the integrity of the house while adding some modern features. He did great job of working with us for that. The only thing I would feel comfortable speaking to was the contractor side of things. We weren't sure the quality of some of the subcontractors work. We felt we had to bring in others to repair things too soon. He did a good job of trying to make that right. We think Bruce is great. We love him and his architectural genius.

Bruce does extremely high quality work. He had to preserve the mellow, river cabin feel of the old house and add a contemporary addition that doubled the size of the house. He is the rare mix of pragmatic and creative in his designs. The end result was an amazing and interesting house.

Bruce was involved in our project from start to finish. We were impressed with his expertise on all aspects of the project including conceptual floor plans, site plans and preparation, framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, finish carpentry, flooring, interior and exterior paint, bathroom installation and punch lists. His subcontractors were dependable and skilled. His creativity added several unique touches to our project that we continue to enjoy. His professionalism, creativity, grace under pressure, seamless scheduling of subcontractors, quality of subcontractors selected and attention to detail made the addition to our home a great experience.
