Sky Renovation

This company is Prime Home Remodeling dba as Sky Renovation and New Construction. Don't be fooled by the smiles and assuming good customer service....in the end, you will find out that this company; Owner Ian Levy, is rude with bully tendencies. They DO NOT provide a worksite foreman and only partially manage the work being done. I had to act as the foreman of my own project at almost $100,000....WHY!!! For that money, he should have had a site foreman daily and attention to the quality of the work being done. Instead every day I came home from work, sometimes during the day, I had to have mistakes and poor workmanship corrected. His workers smoke and throw cigarette butts around the property and often shortcut details. Make sure to take pictures of everything and every part of your project before you let them start any work because when you find something wrong, broken or unfinished your response will be, "Not my problem", "What do you want me to do", "it will cost you more money", "it was that way already". First Red Flag that I ignored because Ian came across as trustworthy was he offered a bid for the interior project solely based on what I wanted to be done and his visual oversight without inspection. He never looked at the existing wiring, only looked at the roof from the ground, didn't check subfloor conditions, didn't check for potential issues and only waited to find them before complaining about the extra cost to him to fix. Demanded final payment with threats of liens and lawyers before even checking to ensure the permits were finalized by the city. So if you want smiles, lies and unskilled workers that you could find at Home Depot working on your property, go ahead and hire them. I'm still scared my roof could come crashing down, the house to catch fire from the wiring work they did and now my central air heater has a disconnected air tube I have to have someone come and fix. I have exposed nails now rusted hanging down below the eaves around the garage and house from the roofing job which Ian told me, "What do you want me to do", "Stop being cheap and fix your house and cover the eaves". Now I have lots of headaches to deal with to make the repairs due to poor workmanship. The sub-contracted roof installers damaged the attic insulation following the roof demolish; now which has to be completely replaced along with central heating ducts that were damaged. Waiting for State Contractors Board to finish their assessment of my complaint and the BBB shows an "F" rating for Sky Renovation & New Construction. Also waiting for their Bond company to finish their investigation into my claim for damages as documented in photos, text messages, emails, and contracts. Complete nightmare. Following this review post the company owner EYAL IAN LEVI sent me several insulting and harassing text messages....Also following this review: He sent his business partner; Tomas to my home to comfort me about my reviews and how it was costing them business attempting to get me to remove them.

We had a contract with them to renovate our bathroom. They have arranged the subcontractor for our renovation. This subcontractor has his license issues, his license had been suspended by State License Board due to his job abandonments and poor workmanship. Sky has terminated him in the middle of the renovation. Orignial contracted job completion date was 8/18, but the renovation works had been largely delayed. So, we claimed this delay against the SKY, they sent their workers to complete the subcontractor's unfinished works. AS soon as they connected the toilet bowl and bathtub faucets, we found the toilet bowl flashes hot water, and the shower had no hot water because they have connected two cold water lines. On Sept 5th, my wife found the ground under the floor was wet and toilet tissues were scattered there. We promptly reported this issue to the SKY, and they sent over his worker and extended the air vent of toilet sewage vent. But after their air vent extension, the toilet became clog and we called them again. They came to our house with the plumber, and they told us the cause of clog is a ton of toilet tissues and it is nothing related to the renovation. We suggested to check the inside of the pipe with sewer camera, they told us to pay $600 for the camera inspection. They also told us to pay $3000.00 to fix the main sewer stoppages. Then, we repeatedly asked them to check the cause with sewer camera, but they repeatedly rejected our requests. We could not agree with them, so we have decided to hire own plumber for $2000 to inspect the cause and fix it. Since this is the only one bathroom for us, we had no choice. Our plumber found and collect the clogged object, it was a concrete plaster. This concrete plaster was exactly same one which was genereated during the bathrrom demoliton. We also requested the plumber to recheck the sewage pipe which were installed by SKY's subcontractor, and found out there are so many things to be fixed. We have choosed SKY renovation because their high rating with review. However, we are really disappointed their workmanship and horriable customer services. We can not recommed this company to anyonw who I know.

Sky renovation was easy to communicate with. They were punctual and very attentive to all our needs and concerns. I was very pleased with their advice and appreciated their honesty in creating a working design that fit our needs. Finally, we never felt that they were trying to "up-sell" us on more expensive designs or work that was not necessary. I will be working with them again.

Tomas was amazing from the appointment till the end of my project. Always kept me informed of what was happening at the house. Work was finished before agreed upon completion date. I will be using them in the future and would recommend them anytime.

Purchased for house and needs to do a complete remodel. I loved Ian. He was professional and had great ideas. Work was done quickly & efficiently and a month later my house was ready.

 Cannot say enough about contractor <b>Ron Zagury</b> and his crew and the job they did replacing kitchen floor and renovating a bathroom.   The crew was prompt, professional and polite.  They put in a full day's work every day and cleaned up every night before leaving.  Ron was always available if we had questions or concerns about any aspect of the projects..He went above and beyond to insure that our projects were completed to our satisfaction on budget and on time. We couldn't be happier with the end results and would definitely hire Ron and Sky Renovation for any future projects. 

The good: <br /> Sales and design meeting were professional and they understood my needs and budget. "Free" Design was beautiful. <br />Custom cabinets of good quality. <br />Most subcontractors were punctual and professional (carpenter,electritian, plumbing, drywall, paint, counter install). <br />Returned to resolve unsatisfactory workmanship. <br /> <br />The bad: <br />Complete lack of attention to detail which caused several call backs during the process. <br />Project manager visited site Very infrequently to check progress leaving micromanagement up to me the homeowner. <br />Quoted with 4 week completion- turned into 10 weeks. <br />Debris left on the job regularly and at completion. <br />Asked for "warranty" paperwork and proof of counter material weeks ago- I still don't have it.

Work was completed before given time frame. Service was great! The crew came on time every day and cleaned after they left. The communication with Tom, our project manager was punctual and very helpful. We were kept upto date daily, Tom would come and monitor the project on a daily basis. He listened to our wishes and concerns and was very Kind and respectful. We are very happy with the out come. They were very detail oriented so everything looks amazing. We defiantly got more value for what we spend. Construction at your home is never easy and there were days that we had to face a lot of challenges, but they were on top of things and always took care of any issue that came along. I found my to go to contractor. Recommend them highly

Ian was prompt, easy to talk to and explained to me what was going on with my roof by taking photos with his phone and showing me details of what the problems were. <br /> Smart use of technology and reassurinmg that he wasn't just telling a story.

They job was done at my rental property. They called me to ask for access to the inside of the house and I told them they didn’t need to go inside since it was a maintenance package for the roof. They never followed up with me to let me know what repairs where done or provide me awith n estimate of what may need to be done. I do not even know if I got anything for my money.

Ian arrived a little before he was scheduled to (always a plus) and was a true professional.  He went over his findings with me and fully explained the work that he recommended be done.  He showed me pictures of each area that needed repairs.  There was never any pressure to have all the work done - he simply told me which ones were higher priority and could lead to more damage and which ones were not as urgent. I decided to have all of the work done and we set the follow up date.  On that date he showed up on time and took care of all the repairs. <br /> I was incredibly impressed with his style, professionalism and service.  I would highly recommend Ian and he is now my 'go to' guy when it comes to any type of roof repair. <br /> Thank you for a wonderful experience Ian!!!!!

Ian, one of the 3 brothers who own this company, came to my home to assess my roof. He was very professional and easy to understand when he described the condition of my roof. His estimate of costs appeared fair in light of the poor condition of the roof. His workers arrived on time, cleaned up everyday and finished the job earlier as Ian had put on a double crew which with the loud hammering overhead, I was extremely grateful. Although there were additional problems which came to light after the job was started, Ian kept with his original estimate.

Very polite, punctual and professional. Advised me of a few minor roofing issues. Very good experience overall.

The color of my house is white (well...suppose to) but because I live in a high traffic area it became very dirty and almost black. <br /> Ian and his crew came with a high power washing machine and cleaned everything. My house is white again!!! <br /> <br /> Used big 3 before and never thought about using someone else. <br />

My husband and I recently purchased our first house in the beginning of <br /> this year, obviously it being our first, we knew we weren't buying our <br /> dream house, but yet a fixer upper with potential. We found a cute <br /> little house in a good clean area with a fabulous yard, however the <br /> inside needed some work, to say the least, but again we saw the <br /> potential. My husband and I decided to use our vacation time that we had <br /> from our jobs, to interview contractors, rather than take a trip to <br /> Europe like we had planned. In the beginning I almost regretted it, the <br /> first couple of contractors that came were a nightmare! I was dreaming <br /> that I was on a beach somewhere in the middle of one estimate. The <br /> contractor was rude, pushy and arrogant. We were mainly interviewing <br /> contractors for our kitchen, some flooring and to replace the windows, <br /> and he was trying to sell us on remodeling the whole house, basically <br /> telling us that the whole place was a dump ( which wasn't the case). The <br /> previous homeowners had recently remodeled the 2 bathrooms prior to <br /> selling and they were basically brand new, and very nice looking. really <br /> the only thing the house needed was kitchen, flooring, windows...and <br /> paint ( which we will do later). Needless to say, we politely thanked <br /> him and went about our search. The next guy we had over was  just way <br /> too expensive...he wanted $70,000.00 just for the kitchen alone!! We <br /> laughed him out of the house. Then we had Big 3 Construction come <br /> over... I wished we had called them in the beginning. Their project <br /> manager was, very nice, pleasant to talk to and professional, he was <br /> very knowledgeable and honest. He was a saint compared to the other two. <br /> He measured our kitchen, showed us samples and even helped with some <br /> design options...he came up with a price that was perfect for our budget <br /> and we didn't have to scale back on any work, we got exactly what we <br /> were looking for. Then we we had him give us a price on replacing the <br /> carpet in the bedroom and refinished the floor throughout the rest of <br /> the house and the windows, everything was fair and honest...needless to <br /> say, we signed right there on the spot! They started the very next day, <br /> which we were pleasantly pleased. The workers were very nice and <br /> respectful of our home and time, everyday before they left, the cleaned <br /> up, picked everything up...to be honest, it seemed my house was cleaner <br /> when they left than it was before they came! They made the process <br /> smooth and effortless for us, it was actually really exciting to see it <br /> stage by stage, it made us that much more eager.  In the end, our home <br /> was beautiful. It may have not been our dream home when we bought it, <br /> but it is definitely our dream home now, minus the paint that we need. <br /> and as a matter of fact, after everything was completed, we had Big 3 <br /> come back out and give us an estimate on painting...again, we signed <br /> right then and there, we already knew the price they were giving us us <br /> fair and we already know the quality of there work ( which is <br /> excellent), so there was no need for us to sit through any painfull <br /> estimates. We love Big 3, we would recommend them to everyone. And we <br /> will not not us any other contractor except Big 3 for as long as we <br /> live. FYI...they do it all, big small, they build houses from the ground <br /> up, so there isn't anything that they don't do. So, if you want an <br /> excellent quality of work at reasonable prices, give Big 3 Construction a <br /> call. I guarantee you will be just as pleased as were are and you will <br /> never search for another contractor again. <br />

I have had 3 major projects done to my house over the last 5 years. First we added a master bedroom and converted the old master bedroom into a walk-in closet and master bath. Our experience with the contractor we used for that project (NOT Big 3)was just ok. Next was our kitchen, we found a crew from several home shows, Pacific Kitchens, WHAT A NIGHTMARE!! Look them up on Angie's and you'll see my review. Stay away from them, poor work quality and horrible customer service,especially for the price we paid The most recent was a total backyard demo and re-do, we used Big 3. I wish I would have found them long ago!! What a great experience, from beginning to end. <br /> <br /> Their price was in line with all other quotes but the quality of their work and their service was off the charts! USE THESE GUYS FOR ANY HOME PROJECT YOU HAVE! Ian was the guy handling our project and he was very creative with his thoughts and ideas for making our backyard one we will enjoy for many years. Their service was above and beyond anything I have ever experienced with a GC and the quality of their output, well I am still awed by it. <br /> Their workers were nice, neat and efficient and the coordination of the project was handled better than I could imagine. <br /> <br /> Their work included complete demo of our backyard. We had Ian build a covered outdoor living area including an open wood beam ceiling (BEAUTIFUL) electrical heaters, a water feature, pavers, and 3 very nice gates. He also stuccoed our fence so no more cinder block yeah!!!! <br /> <br /> Ian, you and the crew did an awesome job and I will use you for my future projects and gladly refer you to anyone I know. Bought my house In 2010. It is a 1950's build, from the beginning we had electrical problem we called couple of contractors, one said the issue was the main panel and Sky Renovation said it is because of the wiring that are very old and not just the electric panel. We took the estimates and did nothing:( After more then a year we had a fire (fortunately we were not home when it happened) the fire department said there was a short in the electrical wiring - Sky Renovation jumped right into our mind, we talked to the insurance and asked if we can do the work with Sky Renovation, so they did all the checking for us regarding their license and came back with a positive answer. We called them and they were nice enough not to tell us "we told you so" :) Since we needed a large repair and restoration job we decided to do some more work on our house. Prior to this house I worked with a different contractor who gave me nothing but h***. That was NOT the case with Sky Renovation. They were Great listened and took to their attention all of our requests, answered the most stupid questions we had and were kind enough to let us feel part of the project, they did a truly great job (I am not the kind of person that give online reviews but I had to, for them). They said that after all the work will be done it will be my dream home and let me tell you something IT IS! if you are considering to do any work with Sky Renovation just ask them to give you my number and I will be more then happy to answer any questions regarding them.
