About us

Slack Overhead Doors is a family owned business servicing the tri-state area since 1979 as a garage door service and installation company. In 2003, we moved to a larger location which allowed us to stock a vast inventory and provide an expansive showroom to better accommodate our customers. That same year, we teamed up with Amarr thanks to the quality of their products as well as the integrity required upon becoming a dealer.

They seem to have only one installation man. When he's out sick it disrupts the schedule. He was very careful and competent but had to come back a few days later because the wiring on the safety "eye beam" needed to be adjusted. Getting him to come back was a challenge to the schedule. <br />

It went very well. They showed up ontime and completed the work in a timley manner plus were very professional and neat. They hauled away the old wooden door.  We were very satisfied with the whole experience.  Good value.  We will use them again.

They did a good job but they left something at the bottom of the door and I wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be there. I really liked their work. I then found out that they did it in the correct way and my sons who were visiting me told me that. So I was happy with their work. They were quick in getting the work done and charged exactly what they said they would charge and it was a good price too. They finished the work within 24 hours. My experience with them was very good. I liked the fact that they weren’t pushy in order to buy anything new. Their quality was good since the door has stood up well.

It went great. Mr. Slack was on time, give or take 5 minutes for morning rush hour traffic. He was professional, neat, and friendly. The problem was no more than a dirty sensor and it was removed, cleaned and reinstalled in a matter or minutes. He was very friendly and helpful.
