Check on why furnace was cycling off quickly and not fully heating.  Repaired it, no further problems

They were great, it took about 10 days to get the new unit and they rebalanced the pad that it sits on, checked out he furnace unit and repl;aced filters for me.  I will call them every time. <br />

   The repair man was helpful in finding the problem. He tried several things to eliminate the main compressor as the problem. Finally, down to the compressor, it ran with a loud noise .  The repairman replaced the whole a/c unit with a new one. Expensive but I suppose all A/C units are. The repairman was easy to work with and did try to eliminate everything that might be causing the a/c to be putting out non cold air.  Only problem now is that several months later on Angies list I read that all a/c units made after 2010 are filled with non R-22.   This has been banned in favor of a less environment damaging coolant ( don't remember the new coolant number ) . R-22 will now cost far more than originally for any refills you might need. I suggest you verify the new coolant number if purchasing a new a/c.  I would think that I should have been the new coolant system. Just hope I wont need any refills for about 10 years or so.  <br /> <br />

The first guy was friendly and personable. The second guy was a little stand offish (family owned company) and would not even look at the possibility of adding a/c to the existing air flow system.

They did an awesome job!  I know that during the heatwave all of the AC companies were swamped and their techs were overworked and tired.  I also learned that for many of the companies, 24/7 emergency service is only available to previous customers.  we had never used Slattery before but we will be using them from now on.  They came out when we needed them and while we didn't get the new unit for 6 days (the 4th of July was in the middle of the week), we knew that they we're trying to help us.   My son-in law is a mechanical engineer out East and he verified everything that Kenny said about the R44 and 410A issues and the fact that if we had chosen to go with the new refrigerant we would have to change out our furnace as well because it would not be compatible with the new 410A.I highly recommend Slattery and Kenny!  I will be using them from now on.

Kenny had us turn on the boiler. He told us we had a dry pump. He fixed it with 24 drops of oil. It was great. He came over when his work day was done.

I was very pleased with them.  They came in on time and checked everything out.  Their price seemed reasonable.  During their first visit in 2009, the guy was especially helpful and even went above and beyond.  We were chatting about these old houses.  He made sure I knew how to set up my water if I had a leak or something.  He made sure I knew where the water main was and that kind of stuff.  I really appreciated that.  A lot of people don’t know where their setup is, but I know because he showed me.  It was really nice.  He was very good.  The guy that came out last year was very good as well.  He was timely.  He came when he was supposed to, got it done, and asked me if I had any questions.

It went well. He was responsive and professional. He provided us with a very accurate and detailed invoice.

We enjoyed our experience with them. They did a great job and I would definitely call them again. They were also on time and came the same day we called. The prices were a bit high but being new to the area, I am unsure if this is the going rate.

The price was good and the quality of their work was definitely great. They were very professional.

We have used this company repeatedly for several years. A woman I used to work with was married to a man that had worked there for years (she retired, and so did her husband). They are not inexpensive but as plumbing goes they are not out of line, and the old saying "you get what you pay for" should be in play for plumbing work anyway. I think of this as an "old school" company.

I love this firm. I have used them for a few years and this experience was superb, as the majority of my dealings with them have been! Called at 6pm and they were at my house by 9am the next day. Beyond fixing my A/C the rep also inquired about my furnace filter and suggested we take a look at it while he was on-site AND helped teach me how to program my programmable thermostat! I haven't received the invoice yet but their pricing is consistently on target and never over-the-top.

I like Slattery because they are friendly, reliable and clean. They have reasonable prices. There was no repairs were necessary on this visit. I like that it is a simple call, they come, do their job and go with no hassle.
