I had a screen door installed and the installer placed the handle 67 inches above ground level. Not sure why the handle is so high? Actually, not sure why a professional installer would even place a handle so high? And if you’re looking for the handle to get out…look up, it’s 61 inches from the floor. And, apparently this does not meet any standard code for door handle placement? I have gotten no response from the company. I have called, they would "look into it". I sent pictures, they would "check into it and get back to me". I talked to the person who sold me the door and he said the installer told him that was the way it is done now!?! Now, some weeks later I find the bottom hinge is binding and pulling the door away from the frame so it doesn't close firmly. And the whole thing is squeaking nosily. As people have looked at this installation they have pointed out that the sweep is not correct and there is a gap at the bottom. I have also been asked about the 'sloppy' trim painting.

Summary: Given my horrible experience, I would NOT recommend this company. I am INCREDIBLY disappointed and frustrated with my entire experience with Sliding Doors Express for SEVERAL reasons: - After spending $400 2 months ago, my sliding door no longer closes properly. Both the technician that "fixed" the sliding door, and the person over the phone said that the problem should be covered under warranty. However, the company refused to resolve the problem without charging an additional $125. - I feel as though I was misled by the company at multiple levels: First by the first technician who said the sliding door was covered by the warranty. Second by the person on the phone who said the same after I described the issue to them. And after all of this time, effort and stress, my door is still not working properly. - I found the technician to be very rude. I also found the person over the phone had an uncaring/apathetic attitude when I explained the entire situation to them. Detail: First, before they came to "fix" my sliding door, the technician completely forgot our service appointment and neither he nor the company provided any notice. We had to reschedule for the next day and then he showed up late. Second, after they "fixed" my sliding door, the technician said that my sliding door had a 1 year warranty and that I should call the company should anything go wrong. 2 months later, my sliding door would not close properly. I called the company and described the problem and was told that it would be covered by the 1 year warranty and that I would only pay $29 for the service call. The technician arrived, took one quick look at the sliding door and said that I would have to pay $125 on top of the $29 to resolve the problem. I explained that I was told by the last technician, and by the person over the phone, that the problem should be covered under warranty. The technician rudely said that the warranty somehow didn't apply because it "wasn't covered". I showed him the receipt and pointed out that the receipt simply said "1 year warranty" with no fine print. He then rudely asked "if the sliding door glass smashed should the warranty cover that as well?". At this point, I paid the $29 for the service call and kindly asked him to leave. I called the company and the person over the phone had an uncaring/apathetic, "not my problem" type of attitude when I explained the entire situation to them.

They were very nice to work with, on-time, got the job done quickly and explained things well. Also, they wore protective face coverings.

Terrible service. I paid them $2k to fix doors, and screws rusted and broke off less than 6 months later. Scheduled appointment they never made, after telling me numerous times they would be here shortly and would bring rustproof screws. Incredibly frustrating - worst customer experience ever.

Excellent and very professional

He did a great job and took his time to make sure the job was done well. He was extremely professional and had to take extract time to 1) get a set of rollers that fit our door and 2) remove the silicone from the bottom of the door from the original installation. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Same day service was amazing! I called and they were here in 30-45 mins. They provide an estimate. They make recommendations and really work with you. They were patient, friendly and prepared with material needed to fix my sliding door. Will recommend to friends in the future. I now have them saved in my contacts for any future issues I may have.
