Kenny and Munk arrived at scheduled time ready to work. They were Fast and Furious, kept me laughing the whole time. Not only did they do what they came for, they changed the batteries in my smoke alarms, replaced all the burnt our lightbulbs (too high for me)and fixed my garbage disposal. They did not charge me anymore than the original quote.

Ken is really knowledgeable, he came into a situation where the contractor had ripped the room apart and had disconnected many different wires. The disconnection affected another bedroom and partially my living room. Ken was able to access the situation and put everything back together. He added all the new wiring we needed (fan, lighting, outlets, 3-way switch) and got everything working in a short time. I really appreciate his skill level and ability to troubleshoot. All said I will be calling them back in the future for sure. Did I say he works quickly, he finished the work in just a little over 5hrs. Amazing. Plus their good attitude and willingness to help makes him and his partner easy to work with.

I will definitely call Ken again. Ken was professional, prompt and polite. He answered my call immediately, came the next morning and performed work efficiently. He also wore foot covers to protect our light colored carpets and he cleaned up afterwards. We are delighted. Thanks, Ken

He and his assistant came just a day and a half after I contacted him. Calling ahead and then wearing their masks, they arrived and quickly traced the problem. The installation is flawless. They also inspected aother wiring and the fuse boxes without charging me, and gave me advice and some initial help on a bigger issue I may have them tackle later. I was very impressed and enjoyed their good humor and efficiency. Everything was left tidy.

Ken arrived ahead of schedule ready to work. He reaffirmed what we were looking for and made sure we agree to the work scope. Ken and team worked diligently and completed the project ahead of schedule. Most surprising part is they left the worksite cleaner than when they started. I would definitely hire them again; and we are already planning our next projects.

Ken and his helper were amazing. Ken came out to recommend and quote light fixtures in our unfinished basement, connect a couple of Ring floodlights, and replace the doorbell transformer and install a new Ring doorbell at my residence. Ken's work is clean, fast, and reasonably priced! I would absolutely hire him again!

Ken and his assistant Mike showed last week and did a great job installing two bathroom exhaust fans as well as set up the venting through my attic. They showed up on time, finished a bit earlier than I expected and did great job over all. The fans look great and work exactly as I expected. I also liked that Ken basically told me what parts to buy and what fans he would recommend for our bathrooms which allowed us to pick out and choose which ones we wanted to install. A couple of the other contractors I spoke to basically sold the fans they wanted to install which I wasn't as inclined to do.

They checked the furnace and the thermostat and found that I needed a new thermostat not wiring as the furnace people had said to me. Small Electrical definitely know their business. They were a God send because the weather began getting colder and I had no heat until they fixed the problem.

We had used Small Job Specialist Electric in the past with great results so we called them again when an outlet failed (melted!) in our kitchen. He replaced the outlet, and he identified a separate ungrounded outlet and fixed it too. He is fast, professional, and competitively priced.

Chose Small Job electric for the job, based primarily on the overwhelmingly positive reviews and ratings on Angies List. Ken was responsive following initial contact, came out and gave an estimate of 850 for the job, which was a couple of hundred dollars less than the other estimates. So best rating on AL, and best price, what could go wrong, right? Everything! Besides the electric line for the dryer (standard 30A), the other line I was installing was for charging my car in the garage, a 40A line. However, I called the car company and they suggested that I should install a 60A line, which would only mean changing to a 60A fuse, since the wire gauge for 40A and 60A lines should be the same. I called Ken and let him know that, and he saw no problem in changing the fuse to 60A, On the day of the install, he comes in and says that he had upgraded me for free, as he was now using a better wire. Seemed odd, but I let it pass. Anyway, once he started the job, I did not hover over him and went upstairs. When I came back some time later, I saw he was working on the main electrical panel, but found he had cut the sheetrock below the panel (see photo), without asking my permission, because he was having difficulty pulling the wires into the panel. He said something about it being a difficult job, but it was the same panel where we had other electricians install high-amp circuits for the cooktop and AC without any problem in the past. I was horrified that he had cut the sheetrock, but he said he would fix it. I later found that he had cut some of the other wires that fed into the panel (see photo) which could have been a an absolute disaster if the cuts in the wires went deeper. I then began watching his work, and found he was amazingly clumsy, and careless. (1) He was installing the wire in the garage in a completely wrong position, again without asking me. We switched the line to the logical place but that left behind all the holes in the wall. (2) He was supposed to install an extra outlet in the laundry room, but he offered to change the existing outlet to a double outlet (I gave him permission) but in making the wider space in the wall, he cut through the wall on the other side!! See photo. (3) The cut on the sheetrock to install the double outlet box was done roughly and then he filled up the jagged edges with caulk. See photo. (4) In the garage, we were installing an extra outlet, but he started cutting and drilling into the wall where there were studs, so he left holes and marks, and had to move the outlet to a different position. (5) In his effort to pull the wires from the panel to the dryer and garage, he managed to knock off the box that distributed the wires of the home alarm system. I had to get the alarm company come and fix it later, cost $285. (6). He was also supposed to build a box for the charger for the car, but he was not prepared for it, and had not brought any materials for it. Said he would come back later and do it, but I am going to hire someone else to do it. Anyway, after he finished the wiring, he repaired the hole he had made under the panel by screwing a piece of wood (see photo), and again promised he would bring a better piece of wood and fix it later. By that time I wanted this whole thing to be over and have him leave. But before leaving he started asking for more money, because of the thicker wire. Because I wanted him to be gone, I somewhat foolishly, gave him the extra $150 that he asked for. He left, but then he came back again, now asking for even more money! He later said that it was a mistake as he did not remember his original quote, but it left a terrible taste in my mouth, specially given the damage he had done. Anyway, at the end this saga, I am left very confused. How could nearly 200 reviews give him A's? He is responsive, gives low estimates, and is punctual. I guess if you want basic electrical stuff done maybe he is O'K. But if you want anything slightly involved, or requires any attention to detail, Small Job Electric should not be your choice.

After a DIY project went wrong and I lost all the power in my bedroom outlets, I called Ken at 8:20am and by 10:00am he had come over and fixed that problem as well as an issue I was having with a kitchen outlet. He is very punctual and works superfast. He answered a lot of questions I had about electrical stuff and was very informative. He ended up replacing a circuit breaker as well as a gfci outlet, quickly and efficiently. I would hire him again. He was great not to mention he smells like warm baked chocolate chip cookies.

ken and his partner were very helpful. they gave ideas on how to make our rooms brighter and added new lights where it was dark. my family an i were extremely pleased to see how much brighter our house is with our new LED lights. ken and his partner claimed it would be a two day project, but they did it in one day saving us a lot of hassle. they also cleaned up as they went along and threw all the garbage away, leaving the house very clean. you could not tell that we had work done. over all the quality was amazing, ken assured us that everything worked and made sure to fix everything the way we wanted. ken cared about our happiness, i would definitely recommend to all my family and friends!
